Jan 23: soaking the autoflowering seeds
1 Thin Mint (TM)
1 Northern light (NL)
Jan 24: paper towel
Jan 26
NL sprouted
EDIT : None of the Thin Mints seeds made it
I had a lot of problem with the paper towel going dry since it's so dry here now in the middle of winter.
Jan 27, Monday:
Planted NL in 1/4L container (waiting for the ollas on Wednesday
Pro mix + mycorrhizae
Under desk lamp 12/12
Jan 29, Wednesday
I received the oyas yesterday so today, I prepared the soil mix and the containers.
I opted for:
+ 3 gal fabric containers
+ 450mL ojas
+ Pro mix organic vegetable
+ Worm casting
+ Sea compost
NL comes out of the ground and is transplanted to his final home with the green ojas
Feb 4:
Transfered NL to the tent freed from the previous growth.
Welcome to your home!
Light schedule from 11pm to 2pm ( heat at night)
Added heating mat under the containers to help maintain a decent tempertaure since it's the depth of winter here and the basement is cold now (13°)
Heating mat set up at 35°C
Feb 17:
NL got a little leggy and week (it was literally on the soil).so I supported it with a chopsticks and wool.
It looks better today. Starts to grow bigger (and I hope stronger too!)
I changed light schedule to 18h (from 7am to 1am). I hope the schedule will help the temperature (by lightning during the time we heat the house the most).
We also put the exhaust/filter on a temperature sensor : stop under 20⁰.
Feb 18:
Fertilized with 250ml of Medi one at 2.5ml/La
Isolation of the outside of the tent with extra blankets and Styrofoam on top.
Exhaust filter set on 22⁰. Seems to work ok.
I try to regulate night temp. If it works I'll increase day temp to 24⁰ tomorrow.
We finally figured out what was wrong!
I focused on raising the temperature both at night and during he day and the result is a healthy, nicely growing plant!
Yeah for the insulation!!!
I noticed the humidity is spiking at night so I opened one of the side panel for air flow.
Seems better now
Feb 24
500 ml of 5ml/L Medi one
This baby started to flower few days ago and develop a mild smell.
I'm trying to bend some of the branches with clips but some of the leaves are sooooo big, I don't know if it's going to be effective.
I don't really want to defoliate because it's an autoflowering plant and it might cause more damage than anything.
I'll give it another week and I 'll see
March 3:
Fertilized with 500ml of Medi one 5ml/L
This little one was a little droopy the last few days. I think it's been thirsty.
I defoliated the biggest leaves as they were not looking good.
I also started LST with 3d printed clips
Mar 10
Fetilized with 1 L of Medi one
I watered way more this week because the soil became compact and wouldn't absorb water at first.
The plant is less droopy than the previous weeks and Iooks actually really good!
I wonder if another nutrient would be necessary but don't really want to invest too much so I 'm going to dig the subject!
This plant recovered nicely from last week drought.
April 7 th
It is still not fully done so today I proceed to a serious defoliation hoping to accelerate the process, fertilized and switched to 12/12h too.
