Germination

nische Germination Conditions It's fun to grow in my self-built mini box. The growing conditions are similar to my first report (50W Stress Killer Automatic CBD). In winter, the humidity and temperature in my apartment are much lower than in summer. It's easier to regulate the conditions. Soil I mixed old and new soil (coconut, seedling soil, vermiculite, and perlite), enriched it with mycorrhizal fungi, and moistened it. Seed In a hole filled with coconut, I planted the seed on 01/10/25 and kept it warm in the dark. After four days, it germinated.

nische Probably, the soil was too wet at the beginning. In any case, the plant was yellowish and weak for the first few days. Light: For the first few days, I used a 26w CFL daylight bulb (Sunny LifeLite). The light was too weak, and the seedling stretched. Then I added a Sansi 15W LED bulb. Humidifier: Mini travel humidifier Boneco U7146 (20 m²) runs only occasionally (15min per hour) with a timer switch. Ventilation: My fan (Prima Klima EC 125-TC) is oversized for the small box, but it runs extremely quietly and consumes only 3W at minimal consumption. A PC fan keeps the plant moving.

nische tag 22 Today I'm only watering with water. The humidifier is running less often now (15min with humidity, 75min without) tag 23 The soil is still quite moist. No water today. The humidifier only mists for 15min every two hours. tag 24 LST, I laid everything flat under a wire ring and pushed the large leaves under the smaller ones where possible. tag 25 Gave 5dl of nutrient solution. Adjusted LST. Removed humidifier. tag 26 8dl of water with pH 5.8. The plant is recovering well from LST. tag 27 The soil is still wet, I'm only giving 3dl of nutrient solution. tag 28 Pre-flowering has already begun. The LST might have been a bit too harsh for the plant. This is too early for me. I'm not switching to flowering yet.

nische In the fourth week, the plant recovered from the Low-Stress Treatment. By the end of the week, pre-flowering had begun. day 29 I adjusted the nutrient addition for the pre-flowering stage. The soil was still moist, but I couldn't resist and added some liquid anyway. It's still forming a lot of side shoots, which I love to see. day 30 Leaves and shoots nicely bushy, and I poured 8dl of nutrient solution. day 31 For the first time, I cut off some leaves (two pieces). Gave a small amount of water. day 32 LST (tying down branches on the outer ring, leading buds and small leaves to the light). 5dl of water. day 33 8dl of water. day 34 The canopy is densely grown, hopefully not too dense. The plant is getting little nutrient solution (5dl). I have a really big pot for the small plant. A lot of water and nutrients are buffered there, so I give little water and nutrients. day 35 It's time, I'm switching to flowering: 12/12 h lighting, 1l of flowering fertilizer (see week 6).

nische tag 36 It’s currently cold in the grow box (19 degrees with the light on, 15 degrees in the dark). The switch to 12/12 hours and the bloom fertilizer has been handled well by the Royal Highness so far. I removed some leaves from the lower area. tag 37 I have serious doubts that this plant is photoperiodic. I've switched the light to 12/12 hours for two days now, and the flowering is already so pronounced! Is that possible? I feel like I didn’t get the seed I ordered. Well, I’m a newbie, I can’t really judge. tag 38 Today I only opened the grow box briefly for a photo. No water. tag 39 1 liter of nutrient solution. Removed many leaves and some buds from the lower area. The plant has stretched enormously. tag 40 8dl of water. The weather outside is warmer and more humid. The humidity in the grow box is rising above 50%. tag 41 4dl of nutrient solution, 4dl of water. I tied down the main stem, raised the light and the upper reflector. The thing is still fully in the stretching phase. tag 42 8dl of nutrient solution. Removed three 'lost' shoots.

nische In the first week of switching the light to 12/12 h, the plant has set many flowers and has doubled in height. In my small box, there's no room for so much vertical growth. With LST, I've spiraled the branches down. In this sensitive phase, I no longer bend the harder parts and only remove a few leaves per day. In the second week of flowering, I water and fertilize vigorously. Additionally, I leave the plant alone. The flowers have developed so strongly that I can hardly believe this is a photoperiod plant in its second week of flowering. Nevertheless, I stick to the 12/12 h light regime. day 47 Today no water and nothing touched. day 48 4dl water, 4dl nutrient solution. I moved the large sun leaves to the lower levels (under the flowers). day 49 8dl water, nothing touched.

nische The length growth is slowing down. The buds are developing well: lots of white pistils everywhere and even some sugar leaves already. It's starting to smell. Day 50 8dl nutrient solution. I removed three shoots with too small buds. Hopefully, that didn't shock the plant during this sensitive growth phase. Day 51 The soil was finger-deep dry. Today I watered with 8dl nutrient solution & 8dl water. I like how it's growing. I haven't touched the plant at all. Day 52 8dl water. Day 53 8dl water. Trichomes are becoming visible on the sugar leaves. Temperature and humidity are very stable (just like the weather outside). Day 54 4dl water & 4dl nutrient solution. The first pistils are changing color from white to brown. Day 55 8dl water. Day 56 Also just water today. The plant is very densely grown. Still, I want to avoid removing any more leaves as long as I can keep the humidity low.

nische Thanks to the weather outside, I can maintain a high humidity and temperature in the box. This also eliminates the risk of mold in the densely grown leaf and flower canopy. The leaves have a healthy green color. The flowers are developing many white stigmas (the first ones are turning brown). The vertical growth has completely stopped. Day 57 Watered 8dl. Took a photo. Didn't touch anything. Day 58 8dl water. Everything is still nice and green, and the flowers are continuing to develop. Day 59 8dl nutrient solution. The plant already smells strong and is growing well. Day 60 8dl water. Day 61 4dl water, 4dl nutrient solution. Day 62 No water. Just turned the plant and took a photo. Many brown stigmas from yesterday to today. Day 63 1l nutrient solution. Today the soil was very dry. The plant looks good.

nische Day 64 1L water. The leaves look grayish matte. Day 65 8dl water. Only a few white pistils are still growing. I'm a bit impatient. Day 66 8dl water Day 67 8dl nutrient solution. Some leaves in the lower area are turning yellow. The canopy is very dense. This will continue as long as the air is still very dry. Day 68 8dl water. Day 69 4dl water, 4dl nutrient solution. So far, the pH level of the water has always been set to 5.8. To increase nutrient availability, the pH level should vary a bit. That's why today's water had a pH of 6.5. Day 70 4dl water with pH 6.3. 4dl nutrient solution. Strong smell. It's raining outside. The humidity in the box is over 50%!

nische Day 71 8dl water with pH 6.5. It seems to me that more pistils are growing again with the pH change. Day 72 4dl water, 4dl nutrient solution, pH 6.3 Day 73 8dl water with pH 7.1 Day 74 Today is the first day for nutrient solution 8dl Ripen (5ml/L from Terra Aaqutica) Day 75 4dl nutrient Day 76 8dl nutrient solution (Ripen 5ml/L). The leaves are still green. The buds seem to be developing very slowly now. Day 77 8dl nutrient solution (Ripen 5ml/L). The Final Part fertilizer is starting to take effect. The buds are forming misshapen new side shoots.

nische Day 78 The buds are starting to grow again. 8dl of water Day 79 The smell is very strong and irritates my airways. I'm only working with clear plastic wrap and the ventilation turned on in front of the grow box. 4dl of nutrient solution. First yellow leaves. Day 80 Today the soil was very dry. I gave 1l of nutrient solution. Day 81 I'm giving 1l of nutrient solution again. Luckily, the weather is very dry for the densely grown crown. Day 82 8dl of nutrient solution. Today the humidity is only 33%. The plant is slowly losing its juicy green color. Day 83 8dl of nutrient solution. The buds are airy, I hope they compact a bit more. The humidity is also partially below 30% today. Day 84 8dl of nutrient solution and a photo. There's little to do, but a lot to observe, e.g. how the buds continue to develop side shoots.

nische Day 85 The soil was still moist, so only 4dl of nutrient solution. Day 86 There's still more to go. Today another 1 liter of nutrient solution. Day 87 I'm grateful that the buds are still developing and the trichomes haven't turned amber yet. 8dl of water. Day 88 The color of the plant is still in the green range overall. Some buds are noticeably brown (trichomes still transparent). 8dl of nutrient solution with 6.5 pH. Day 89 8dl of nutrient solution. Day 90 It rained again and the humidity in the grow box has dramatically increased. Out of fear of mold, I proactively removed many older leaves. Day 91 The buds are still forming plenty of white pistils.

nische Day 92 The humidity is over 50%. The plant is still amazingly green and the buds are continuing to thrive. Day 93 With the Final Part nutrient, the bud formation has picked up again. The trichomes are clear, transparent, and the leaves are still lush green. I can let the buds thrive for at least another week. Day 94 Only the high humidity (53%) and the resulting risk of mold could throw a wrench in my plans. Everything looks good at the moment. 8dl nutrient solution pH 6.3. Day 95 Same liquid as yesterday. I’m satisfied. I should remind everyone again that I’m working with an (older) 50W LED lamp in a small cylinder with a diameter of 60cm (80cm height). For these space and light conditions, the plant is thriving well with very good energy efficiency and a modest amount of effort. Day 96 Wow, that thing is still pushing out everywhere on the buds. Day 97 The buds are getting heavy and the stems are slowly tipping over.

nische Day 99 the trichomes are still clear and transparent Day 100! Big round birthday. Congratulations. Day 101 Today only pH-adjusted water (pH 6.3, 1.2l) Day 102 Trichomes transparent, the leaves are yellowing (very) slowly Day 103 8dl nutrient solution and photo. Today I'm struggling with a lack of motivation. But actually, everything is growing well. Day 104 There are still hardly any milky or amber trichomes visible. As long as something is still developing, I'm fine with it. When judging the trichomes, it's sometimes better to use a botanist's loupe, even though the phone photos are now very detailed. Because in the photos, the details can sometimes be inaccurately sharpened due to JPEG compression, and trichomes suddenly look white even though they are transparent. Day 105 I see some white trichomes. It's coming to an end now. Today only pH-adjusted water.

nische Day 106 All the branches are heavy and leaning sideways. To prop the plant up, I tied a string around it. It looks good, it's almost time. I might harvest in stages, the big bud flowers first, maybe the smaller ones will catch up. Day 107 I discovered a banana-shaped growth on the bud. Now just before the harvest, I don't think that's too bad, right? Day 108 There are quite a few of these banana growths. It seems to me that the plant didn't have much stress. Could it be due to the genetics? Day 109 If it weren't for these hermaphroditic growths, I would have given the plant a few more days. Day 110 The hermaphroditic bananas have been multiplying explosively fast in the last few days. I had to act and harvest today. The trichomes are mostly milky, there's very little amber. 357g wet weight is okay if the quality is right. I'll find that out after drying. Then I'll write the harvest report. 😘

Happy Harvest Day!

nische That was my first experience with a photoperiod indoor grow. I appreciate the somewhat slower and low-maintenance development of Royal Highness. With 12 hours of light per day during the flowering phase, I'm saving even more energy with my already very efficient 50-watt lamp. In the last weeks of development, I was a bit negligent and still achieved a mediocre to good harvest (wet weight of the trimmed buds (357 grams). The dry weight of the buds is 86 grams. After a week of drying time, the harvest in the jar has a humidity of 49%, a bit too dry. I put a lemon in the jar to slightly increase the humidity. I like the fresh, resinous smell of Royal Highness and the discreet effect. The herb opens my senses and supports me during the day.
