Nov 21 - Germinated a single seed in a cup full of room temperature distilled water. The seed is in complete darkness with a room temp hovering around 75°F.
Nov 22 - seeds popped and was planted 1/2” under soil after 27 hrs in water soak. Watered with soaked paper towel and covered with clear solo cup. Light set at 40% 18 on 6 off approximately 24” above soil.
Nov 23 - same as yesterday, no sprout. Gave a bit of water from a paper towel. relative humidity near 70%, temps hovering between 68-75
Nov 24 - Seed is beginning to peek through the soil, conditions holding around 70-75°F and RH is 75%. No water today. Too soon, it’s still damp.
Nov 25 - seedling is beginning to open and seed is still sticking on the leaves. Dribbled a bit of water around the base and dehumidified the cup over the seedling.
Nov 26 - seedling still had seed shell and membrane attached. It was not allowing it to open normally. I gently removed the seed shell and membrane and dribbled a bit of water around the base. Seedling is beginning to grow the first two true leaves. No change in temp and humidity.
Nov 27 - seedling is about 3” tall with all leaves in great shape. Watered with tap water that has evaporated chlorine out at PH 6.5 around the base of the seedling.
