These Chemdog cuts are clones from my first Chemdog grow. You can see the diary, "Chemdog Fall 2024" for all the deets. I used the OxyClone 20 site cloning machine with ambient lighting only. I added a teaspoon (5ml) of Clonex to the water in the OxyClone and misted them with Clonex Spray once a day, as well as water once a day. By the end of the second week, I had ample roots and choose two of the cuts as Pollen Donor and Seed Donor plants. This will be a pollen and seed run to prepare for the 2025 outdoor growing season, as I have several people wanting clones and seeds from this particular Pheno. I planted the rooted clones in ProMix HP CC (coco coir) on 2024-12-22, and topped them on 2024-12-29, officially starting their veg cycle.

2024-12-29 to 2025-01-04 I topped on 2024-12-29, officially starting their VEG cycle. I've let them get a little tall, using a new "budget" grow light for starting seedlings. The light worked well, but I think I had it set a little high, worrying about potential burn with a new light. Better safe than sorry. On 2025-01-01, I moved them from my cloning/germination box to my seedling tent under a VipraSpectre full spectrum light. They will remain in the Starter Tent until the 11th.

2025-01-05 to 2025-01-11 Not much to report this week, other than the sisters continue to grow. But I do need to clarify something regarding the number of clones shown in the images. This particular grow, I only have 2 clones listed, though several appear in the images. This diary follows the two that were selected for 5 gallon pots, and originally intended for consumptive flower production. There were four other clones selected for seed production and immediately put into flower, in an attempt to produce feminized seed from female pollen donors of the previous clone generation. The bottom line is, I got my timing off on the STS spray applications and flipping to 12/12 lighting period. As a result, my first attempt to create feminized seed failed. I DO NOT want to loose this particular cut of Chemdog, which is phenomenal - comparatively speaking, thus my repeated attempts to secure some seed so that I can stop cloning this cultivar and utilize my tents for other varieties. The remaining clones were either given to friends, or simply thrown in the burn pile (makes me almost cry). Perhaps I will do another diary on the seed production project.

2025-01-12 to 2025-01-18 I'm keeping the bottom pans filled with nutrients/water, the same as a hydroponic grow. I've grown outdoor for decades, and I am still learning the indoor tent methods with every grow. Using coco coir is also new to me and in my early indoor grows, I applied nutrients and water in a manor that should be used for soil and not coco. I have learned that a coco grow should be treated similar to a hydroponic grow, and so far this information has been the most valuable to learn. The plants thrive using this method of watering/feeding.

2025-01-19 to 2025-01-25 The plants are growing vigorously in their new 5 gallons of coco. By the end of the week, they are consuming about .5 gallon nutrients per 24 hours, though some is lost to evaporation with the humidity as low as it has been.

2025-01-26 to 2025-02-01 These clones are so vigorously leafy you could landscape with them and make a beautiful hedgerow. I am continuing to apply STS spray to one of the two, and will put her in the flowering tent next week. The other will continue to veg a couple more weeks to give the pollen donor clone time to put on anthers. I'll add the second plant to the flower tent next week.

Cloning is a copy. So this is something you caused if it was not how it grew on the original. looks overfed, for sure. When it doesn't progress from 3-5-7-9+ fingers, something is off in the nutrient balance.

@DutchFarmer, Thank you much. I'm still learning the indoor grow thing after decades of growing outdoor. It's like a whole other process.
