Running a Marshydro COB 300 (100w) and an old MarsHydro 600 (280w?). Dinafem Critical +2.0 auto running alongside which is 5 weeks in.
About 70% Coco, 30% Perlite. Both the coco and perlite were rinsed with an approx 230ppm solution (50ppm tap water, 180ppm GH FloraMicro and Bloom, and 1 ml/l Rhizotonic). Feeding every other day at the moment till 15%-20% runoff. Soon as the next leaves show themselves I'll start feeding every day to runoff.
Currently day 3 since it sprouted from the ground. This one seemed to germinate really quickly showing it's taproot within 30 hours so was half expecting it to take off once it showed it's head but seems to be growing pretty average right now. PH down is Growth Technology and when I prepare my nutrients the reservoir I mix in is only 5 Litres so it takes literally a tiny droplet to adjust the PH. Rhizotonic brings the PH up.
*Amended diaries as put wrong lighting schedule - Had put 18 on instead of 20. Now reads correct 20 hrs.
Day 8 - Running same feed strength, nothing much has changed in terms of what I'm doing, only now I'll be feeding every day till run off then if i see any yellowing to the lower leaves towards the end of this week, I don't think I'll be doing daily updates here so I'll slowly increase micro/bloom by 1 or 2ml/l and let you know where we are week 3.
Wavy lower leaves, i seem to get this with half my grows but doesn't seem to affect anything in the long run. It could be a few things I'm not really sure or that bothered but; I don't keep my seedlings at very high humidity, and it moves around 50-70%. PH swinging or salt buildup in the medium due to the way I'm watering the first week.
I'm also going to top up the pot with more perlite/coco in the next few days up to the cotyledons so that when I'm watering heavily I wont have the medium being washed out of the sides of the air pot. - Toped up with more coco perlite day 9.
Height measurements a bit off, would be about 5" i guess but I topped up some more coco/perlite in last week.
Upping the feed from tomorrow. Dropping the Rhizotonic.
Sorry for missing last week's update, have been real busy with renovating and decorating so my grow was put on the back burner.
Re-introduced Cal-Mag to bring base ppm of water from 50 to 150/200. Then topping off with Micro/Bloom Lucas formula up to 420 ppm as it makes my PH rest nicely at 5.8 without having to use PH up/down and not seeing any sign of nitro tox.
Defoliated some of the bigger leaves which began to look almost prehistoric, blocking light.
LST'd nicely as has been getting some stretch because of light distance. Can't bring light much closer atm due to the other larger flowering plant inside the tent.
