TheBoifus Girls are in their final autopot homes. First time I've tried going straight from the sprout chamber to final pots. Girls weren't happy week 1 but are now super psyched.
I'll be topping soon, likely end of this new week. I will eventually add a scrog net after they recover from topping.
Also, the "magic melon" I'm growing is actually HSC's new chicken n wafflez strain, but growdiaries didn't like me adding a custom strain.

TheBoifus Did the usual pre-flower defol. Before I flipped to flower I noticed tip burn forming. After reading about growing in autopots, I reduced my fertigation inputs a bit (from 100% to 85%) and increased my calmag (from 100% to 125%).
Immediate improvement. :)
The PPD is clearly a faster flower than the rest, as its buds are already stacking and even some hairs are going orange. Chicken n waffles and Old Growth have both stretched roughly 2x their pre-flower height. Old Growth doesn't have much of a direct aroma yet, but chicken has a very sweet syrupy aroma, and PPD is its usual grapey floral mix.

TheBoifus Forgot to update this sooner. Since "week 3", I've topped each plant, trained some shoots outward, and have activated the autopots. Due to flowering plant limits in my state, I'm holding off on flipping to flower until next week or maybe more. In the meantime, I am considering topping one additional time to offset the delay to flower flip. Once my trainwreck is done ripening, I'll flip these to flower.
Garage absolutely STINKS of skunky weed aromas and I am here for it. Mmmmph.
Chicken n' Wafflez, front right in photo, is an absolute beast throwing out prehistoric-sized fan leaves. Just a chunky monster. I started her ~8 days after the other 3 and she caught up in no time.
(Reminder: This is about HSC's new strain, "Chicken 'n' Wafflez", not Magic Melon. CnW isn't available on Grow Diaries yet, so I improvised.)
Awesome strain. The most vigorous plant I've grown yet. In veg, she spits out gigantic fans and grows incredibly fast. For this run, I topped her once and then flowered 10 days later. She handled the stress fine.
In flower, she stretched a little more than twice her starting high. She put out tall stalks of golfball buds whose aroma included scents of Fruit and syrup. The buds were extremely dense and tight, and absolutely covered in trichomes. I chopped her on day 67F. She could've gone another 3-5 days if I wanted more amber.
Now while drying, the aroma has changed away from the fruitiness and more towards a buttery, almost caramel scent. I look forward to trying her out after an introductory one-month cure. I would recommend this to anyone interested in trying it out or interested in HSC gear overall. I believe this will become an popular line of theirs.
Final weight and smoke report will come once it's time for those.
