So, in theory, an oil extract will probably be better at extracting purer thc without the water soluble stuff also coming along with it. extract with oil, skip the step. I don't know the exact amount. In my experience, a simple oil extraction is enough to achieve a good effect when using 1g of buds or 2g of trim per 10ml of oil. Then, 1ml of oil is enough for a nice trip. However, the taste is mainly unpleasant due to the chlorophyll. That's why I only do extractions with 95% ethanol now.
