hey all, as my first time growing (and still setting up the tent) i have a dwarf and an amnesia they will be moved inside the tent by the end of first week. the pictures are at day 3 after sprouting. so in a couple of days they will be in a 40x40x120 hydroshoot tent. 45w led cob lights (bought cheap in Amazon) the pots are plastic but will re-pot on either airpots or smart pots. still deciding. it's my first attempt but I will not waste time and try to LST both plants and since (after much reading) that the amnesia grows tall I'll also attempt topping on that one. I have decided to use biobizz since their try pack is perfect for this occasion and their reviews are very good looking forward to share my progress with the community and take in any feedback you want to give

Received my setup. So far they have moved inside a HydroShoot 40 and are receiving light from a cheap amazon LED. My Bridgelux COB DIY is under way. Seems like they are growing well. They look a bit stretched, the main stem. QUESTION: Should i LST now ?

Veg week 4. I have to be honest here, almost since day one i mixed up the pots and i really don't know what is the amnesia or the dwarf. The tallest and light green one seemed to me that "deserved" topping. For the sake of learning I decided to cut her. Hope the side shoots start to grow. I am also going to apply some gardener U's in order to LST them. Is it a good idea ? At this point also, i wonder if i should water them more, I mean, the top layer of the soil is never completely dry but at the same time i'm not having "left over" water coming from below. More water ? Finally, apologies for the blurple pictures. Will start to have better pictures once my COB lights start to work. (Under construction)

Week 5, everything seems to be going normal. I have bent the plants a little bit more and tried to make the smaller bud sites (?) and branches more visible to the lights. After 5 weeks I don't know if these can be considered stunted or not but anyways i like the way they are looking good to me. Had a few leaves, the older bigger ones, that were showing some spotting and discolouration (brown). I've decided to rip them all off (about three to four in each plant). They are autos and are still not showing any signs of pistils which I don't know if it's normal or not. Anyways, i've stopped BioBizz BioGrow and am keeping just with the BioBloom. Should i start TopMax ? Also, my lights (which are cheap amazon) are about 70 cm away from the plant on a 24h schedule. Should I change the schedule now AND also bring the lights closer ? Thanks guys.

Week 6 done. They won't grow anymore it seems, plants are small but with a good amount of leaves and (what i assume) future bud sites. I've brought the lights way down and started the 12/12 schedule to see if they start to form pistils, tbh i'm confused with these Autos. anyways, carry on. Started with top-max alongside with bio-bloom. Let's see what happens. They are drinking the solution at a fast pace despite the low temperatures. I've got a small ventilator to circulate the air inside the tent, I was counting that it could circulate hot air but it's not a feature of this one. Any advice on how to warm up my tent a bit ? Thanks guys.

Hey everyone, Week seven finally flowering. They stretched and finally I have pistils. Shy bud sites but fingers crossed they fat up! Will remove some leaves with deficiencies and watch my feeding, dropped the nutes down to half. And wait a week. Will continue to tie them down but my tent is too small. And the pots. So my plan is to iny keep them low and bushing for the next week, or two. Then I'll let go of the garden pins and see where they go. Any advise on how to defoliate due to the lack of space and therefore not much light "down there"? Thanks for passing by guys.

Hi guys, Continue with my plan. Tied them further down and let's see if they have in them to come back up and show those bud sites. Dunno if this is going to work but then I'll let go of the pins and wait the remaining weeks. Let's hope for some good trichomes. Thanks for passing by!

Hi guys, This week they have started to show some nice frost around the buds, pistils are getting bigger too. I've decided to defoliate every leaf that didn't have frost or was covering the lower buds. Decided to remove the gardening U's too to see if they stretch during these final weeks so all buds get decent lighting. Also went full on with the nutrients (Biobloom and Topmax) since i removed all the leaves let's see what they're reaction is. A little experiment maybe. My humidity is getting higher since we got rain all this week. should improve in the further weeks since the weather is getting better. Going on cruising mode now until harvest now. Thanks for looking! Can't wait to taste my own flower!!

Hey bud. Good first grow. Its worth reading and researching in to it a little. For instance you may want something with a relatively quick turnaround or a strain that yields well or even something of a challenge. (Dr Grinspoon) jumps in to my mind. However if you are looking for a good all round grow with good yields, Strength and easy to grow with great pest resistance i can recommend the Pineapple Chunk from RQS. I found this incredibly hassle free for my first grow and it had impressive yields. Of course you can always go with something you like the name off. LOL. Whatever you decide im sure you will have fun growing anyway! 😃

Hi guys, Just cruising here. Trying to see if buds fatten a little bit but not much hope. Pistils are still mostly white so i'll wait patiently for a few more weeks. For an auto it seems like it's taking for ever. Thanks for looking everyone !

Hey everyone. So this is the final week for my autos. I've been flushing for the past two. They are looking good and haven't been really growing dense for a while now. I believe they've reached their potential under the grow conditions I have. Looking back i'm sure i go nutrient lock-out because i haven't measure my water pH a single time... oh well, living and learning. Next time, going organic again i'll be sure to control the water pH and EC as well as provide some microbiological life, I've looking into Recharge from the dude grows. Can't wait to hang them upside down and smoke though. Thank you for your support and for sure i'll be coming back after vacation for a new grow.

Plant grew well until it reached the grow conditions potential, Yield is small but upon first smoke (one week curing) seems to deliver what they promise, a great taste of citrus and a good uplifting and cerebral high. Very functional while high (use it for work).

Taking your first plants from start to finish is already an achievement. First grow is always more of a learning experience than anything else

@Canibas, those bulbs probably aren't 40w each. I use a panel that draws 150w from the wall and I'm still not sure it's enough ( cost me 40 euros though so worth it)
Canibas
Canibascommented6 years ago
@Alpaca, For this run i had a 40x40 (cm) (60w claimed) blurple light panel from amazon and two E27 (40W claimed) bulbs. I'm going to get the HLG65W since my tent is a 0.4x0.4 (m). I've read it should be enough to bring some better density to the nugs. If not enough for flower I can still use the two bulbs for supplemental lighting.

@Canibas, I grow in a legal country so it's definitely easier for me. What light are you using?

Hi @Canibas! I highly recommend the O.G. Kush by RQS for its fast flowering cycle, its amazing and unique terpenes, and its vigor in growth. You'll get plenty of dense colas full of resin. Probably my favorite strain so far. Happy growing! 👊

Hi! Can you measure the real power consumption of your LED? And your plants look like hungry for N. There is a grow schedule table for the Biobizz nuts an their site. That schedule worked well for me.
Alpaca
Alpacacommented6 years ago
@Canibas, your plants are mainly small because you have them a 3 liter pot, it's better to do something like 10 or 12 for much bigger plants. And maybe you trimmed just a few too many leaves, autoflowers shouldn't be stressed too much.
Canibas
Canibascommented6 years ago
@Fruitgrower, Oh shit. I haven't been using biogrow. Should i use it now on these last few weeks or forget it ? Thanks for the advice. Next one i'll be making sure i'll use it all the way.

Fruitgrowercommented6 years ago
@Canibas, shouldn't put auto on 12/12 no need! Also need to use biogrow all the way through until close to the end!

Hey man, how's it going? I see a bit of stretching there, could you move your light any closer or would that be burning them? Still nice and green so looks healthy.
Canibas
Canibascommented6 years ago
Hey Ashbash, Thanks for the feedback, very much appreciated. I also think that topping is enough for this little one, but the stem is so long... that's why i wanted to LST her. We will see how it goes. Should i expect the main stem to keep growing out? I mean, my lights are at the top of the tent. Can't go any further. Once again, thanks for the comments. I'm enjoying a lot this gardening hobby. Hooks you up pretty quick!
Ashbash
Ashbashcommented6 years ago
@Canibas, Hey dude, I would say the u's would be fine for lst. As long as they don't cut in to the plant. Don't be afraid to put a little force on them, once bent they'll thicken up where strength is needed. Even bend a little more each day. They can grow too thick to bend but yours look ok for now :) Basically, you want the tops to be the same height or lower than the side branches as this changes the chemical balance of the plant. Topping on its own may be enough in those 3l pots, so lst may not be necessary
Canibas
Canibascommented6 years ago
@Ashbash, Thanks for peeking into my diary. It's my first time trying to accomplish a grow, been loitering around here taking as much info as I can. All you guys have been a big help. My setup didn't start properly (and still isn't 100%). I believe that putting them by my windows sill did that. I indeed have two long main stems that now seem to be a bit hard to bend to LST. any opinions ? Thanks o/
Fruitgrower
Fruitgrowercommentedweek 66 years ago
It depends on what the plant looks like, if you think it needs a bit of nitrogen then yeah give it a bit. But the chat one got for biobizz days is it all the way through but I think stop towards the end of flowering. It is a high nitrogen based liquid.
Fruitgrower
Fruitgrowercommented6 years ago
@Canibas, Hey, you definitely still need to flush a week before harvest or even two weeks before. At this point you can add some molasses to the water. Let it dry out until harvest day. I would add a little biogrow and continue until flush, also next time think about bigger pots. Fabric if possible. Bigger pot, bigger plant. 🌱👍
Canibas
Canibascommented6 years ago
@Fruitgrower, Thank you for the advice. I do have some leaves with the tips yellow. So maybe don't go back to biogrow for now. They aren't big but are developing bud dites properly. Another doubt, eternal doubt, since Biobizz is organic, should i still flush or not ? Thanks!
