24h soak in soaking solution.
Transplanted to coco/peat/perlite medium.
Added BioAg VAM mycorrhizal fungi and rolled the seed in VAM.
Popped surface of soil 12hours later.
👍
A few foliar feeds this past week and microbes into the soil.
Pro: She is hungry and ready to eat! Soil slurry at 6.3ph and 250ppm (good for this nute line).
Starting full feeds this week.
Con: Night time temps are swinging too low. Daytime is 81, would like night to be 74-77 instead of 66-72.
Shocked by transplant a day or two, but she seems to have bounced back fine. Probably not training this plant, this grow. Have added a couple of new things (including soil type) and want to learn the stresses of those additions without added stress of bending or topping the plant. Will probably lollipop a bit tho.
Still having a bit of temp swing at night but the RH is ok.
Nothing much planned for the week except some mid veg feeding and a compost tea day. Aiming to transplant to final 5gal fabric containers next weekend with the prep to transition towards week 6, flip close to end of March.
*Lowered the lights a few inches, at about 28-29"
Healthy week, lots of morning prayers.
Removed a few lower branches, mostly first leaves anything not looking fixed to a fan leaf as well as a bit of leaf tucking. 2 Bubba Kush CBD plants in tent right now with a couple of other strains. Both bbk's are smaller, but still bushy and keeping up.
These are my first 2:1, 1:1 THC/CBD plants, I'm unfamiliar with their weedy ways so going pretty gentle on her even if pushing hard with additives and nutes.
She took a bunch of full stength, mid-veg feedings and hasn't shown significant signs being pissed - so not changing much. She's being fed 4x p/ week with a compost tea mid week and a preventative flush 1x p/week.
Switching to late veg nutes and up potting to final 3 gallon containers this week and then giving her another 10 days before flipping to flower. The last 5-7 days going to aim at some transition feeds.
All good.
*Slurry test on soil has her solid on ph (6.37) and hungry at 300ppm. Both bbk's eat a little less than the other strains in the grow, but their ph hasn't drifted at all. Stoked about that.
She's 12days from up potting, after 5 days, she started to bush up, got super hungry and went vertical by 2-3". Both Dinafem Bubba Kush CBD have caught up to each other and are both holding about the same ph and same soil slurry ppm. They've held stable even after transplant. I pushed them pretty hard after they started to show a willingness to eat. Might have pushed a bit hard til a little tip burn. Backed off about 10-25%.
Environment: been staying close to .8-1.05 vpd, night time swings in temp have been offset by low humidity. This is the first time I've tried VPD. Not sure I can hold those numbers during flower.
She's not going 7 weeks into veg. It's like 6weeks + a day for veg.
Dark period starts Monday PM. Just priming her today with lots of transition support nutrition.
Can't wait to see her blow up bloom.👍
*Light pruning today, lower defoliation.
*Flipping to flower Monday, 8 April for 36h.
flipped to flower last week, entering week 2.
I did some lollipopping before the transition and spread her out a little.
Definitely wants to get bushy.
I think I got behind a little. They are much hungrier than in veg and I skipped a day of feed or tea. Pots
felt a little heavier than normal, but just missing that seemed to piss them off. So I noted that with a bit
of de-leafing and the skipped feed, they looked a little droopy and stressed.
Photos are a bit washed out contrast wise. The plants are not so limey, but definitely not dark.
Excited to see some bud sets. Hopefully they keep surprising with good health.
*Updated a few picture from after foliar feed of some aminos, fulvic acids and some other bloomy boosters to trigger those
budsets. :D It does leave a little residue behind but it washes off with the next foliar or ipm spray. 👍
I think it's been an OK week. No signs of any pests. No huge problems.
Just watching them.
Trying to see what they like and don't like.
So far, they don't like skipping meals.
happy 420!
She stretched 6" surpassing a couple of other flowering plants in the tent. Stems are all nice and green. Nodes all popping
flowers. Interested to see how these will all stack.
Been pushing hard with an organic biostimulant called FullOn, which definitely enhances uptake of nutrients, so with every little
tip burn I back off 10-15% during the week before cranking back up. It's reduced my overall need for full strength nutes and
seems to give them a lot of energy with a morning foliar (during veg).
The sudden explosive growth was surprising, it was definitely a 2-3day burst. Looking forward to seeing where she ends up.
The other bbk cbd in the tent is doing ok, but about 3" shorter, but it's consistently behind. It would not surprise me to see
it shoot up suddenly like her tent mate.
✊
Just watching it grow.
Main bubba kush cbd (pictured) loves to eat.
Other bubba kush cbd in tent is a full runt, still loves to eat, but a shrimp she is.
Popped a breaker today and lights were out for 30minutes to 2 hours. Ventilation
didn't fail, but the light had to be reset. Keeping fingers crossed the power loss
doesn't cause any probs.
🙏
Some flowers including main cola is photo'd. She's a little droopy today.
Drying them all out for a soil slurry test before a start to flushing later this week.
Also wondering if colder temps will turn this foliage black/purple.
Have had some pH issues this run and a couple of stresses.
I love how this plant constantly records my fuck ups. 💪
Tie burn, tip scimitar, tip droop.....
Leafs never lie.😍
✊
Ripen flush, once with 20% runoff, the 2nd and third ripen flush were just media saturation with no runoff. Last week+ has just been straight water.
They are super flushed and starved to death.
Mostly milky trichs.
They are getting chopped in the morning before they give up....smell absolutely rank, yet sweet too.
Can't wait for the smoke.
