Mokum’s Tulip and Runtz x Layer Cake Elite selection

Willy_Balls Clones transplanted in 11.02. They are rooting rapidly. Already poking out of bottom holes. Great start. Huge growth during these 5 days. Although I kept a few of them just a tiny bit too dry yesterday to encourage rooting. Should have water fully yesterday. Today full watering to runoff. 17.02 As on the photo, pretty bad yellowing and purple stems. Due to ph on the medium bending to low. As a result of to much dryback. 18.02 Flushed with ph 6.5. Bioenhancer and rhizotonic plus base nutes. Lowered light intensity. 19.02 Marvelous recovery in two days. Everything green and charging. Tomorrow drip setup.

Willy_Balls 22.02 Day 1 of flower. Set up stand, trays and drain. Drip in place. Removed some lower growth tips. Light at 400w. Will lower distance gradually. 23.02 Corrected temp and rh sensor placement. Wrong reading gave plants wrong vpd. Little bit too dry. They should feel a bit better from now on.

Willy_Balls They continue to grow fast. Although they are rather thin still. I think I learned my lesson with clones. They need to be taken from pristine, rapidly growing plant and kept in that state. If they are kept too long in too small of a pot or under a weak light. They kind of change their phenotype to that environment. The branches grow thinner, leaves are smaller and the buds are also smaller after that. 7.03 After 2 weeks all the plants show signs of early flowers. Unfortunately they keep on being rather conservative in the drinking department. They still have one or two weeks of rapid growth. I hope they root systems will fill in the space they have available and start pumping some serious buds. Hope they will turn out decent after all.

Willy_Balls They grew a little more vertically. Leaves remain a bit small and stems a tad thin for my taste. They also don’t drink more than 600 ml / 24h. Other than that I love how even they grow. 🤞 for the last weeks of stretch that they fill in nicely. I know I could keep them in veg jest a few days longer. Note for the future.

Willy_Balls Cannot and probably will not make them dryback 40% vwc in 24h. Nevertheless they look pretty good. There could be also some kind of root issue in a few of them. The leaves are getting g a bit pale from the tips and edges. That’s the symptom that I had last time I’ve had pythium. I hope they will make buds fine nevertheless. Winter time is kind of tricky here it’s the second year I get root issues around that time. I think lower temps are good for root parthogens. But the medium temp never dropped below 19 degrees C. Must take extra care next time to have proper drybacks especially in lower temp.

Willy_Balls Slight defoliation again. Everything going well. Didn’t have to do anything almost a whole week.

Willy_Balls All good. This runtz x layer cake pheno is just spectacular. Produces thick, resin coated, colas that feel heavy even after drying. The terpene profile is very „sharp” and spicy almost reminds me of radish.

Willy_Balls Everything is well. I think that runtz x LC will be just fine although I see potential for even more quality buds with a bit longer veg. Mokum’s tulip definitely could use more veg and could be topped to form around 4 main tops and lolipopped hard. Quality buds are mostly very high at the tops. Runtz have more even distribution of high quality buds. I think with this runtz cut 1 kg is possible in 120x120 tent with 500w of led (no co2 of course).

Willy_Balls Beautiful spot on finish. Fade is going on beautifully This Mokum’s Tulip specimen I managed to save in reveg project is a true gem. Gelato x sherbert go in tandem to create a creamy thin mint taste with hint of lemon zest. It’s astonishing.

Willy_Balls This time we end at around day 66 and I think it’s a perfect, gorgeous fade. Nugs are rock hard and terps and resin are dripping.
