UnorthadoxDude This weekend I have upgraded my kit to include 100cm x 100cm x 180cm tent, as well as 5" airflow kit, and cheapo Chinese LED. No nutrients yet, hoping they arrive Tue/Wed. UnorthadoxDude Hello growmies and welcome to week three for this Mystery Auto by Fast Buds. I am starting to get back into the swing of things, and I hope to be updating more frequently as this grow series progresses. Thanks for reading, and let's grow together. 👊 Have decided to name this lady Medusa, on account of the multiple 'heads'. ======== Updates: Day 15 9th March Nutrients still not arrived. Went out to buy some from local grow store. Got basic coco A+B, and CalMag. Fertigated everything with Coco A + B approx 2l. One hour later the nutrients arrived. So this is the only one fertigation with these nutes so I won't add them to diary. --- Day 17 11th March Fertigated 4l with Samurai Coco A + B, Canna CalMag, Katana Roots. and a dash of silicon. Something unusual has happened. She has put out two main stems as if the has been topped, but she hasn't been topped. Has anyone had this before? Updates: Day 21 Well it is the end of week three already... I can't believe it. Took a clear photo of the top - you can see she has split into two main stems spontaneously. UnorthadoxDude Hello growmies and welcome to week four for Medusa the Mystery Auto by Fast Buds. Day 22 - 16/3/25 - Fertigated 2.5l She looks droopy in the photos, that's just her asleep, I took the photo at the end of the dark period just before lights on. I have competed week 3 now, so if you want to go back and have a look at the day by day progress you can. Will we see preflower pistils this week? Updates: Day 23 wow this plant is a freak. She is splitting in all sorts of ways and becoming very bushy. Really living up the name I gave her. I am thinking of making a call on this one... maybe I will let her grow and apply no training? She what happens? Day 24 - pinched off a few leaves to allow light into side stems. Day 25 - pinched off a few more leaves. Day 26: Fertigated appox 3l. Day 27: Thinned out the alfalfa a bit. Day 28: Fertigated approx 2l. It's the end of week 4 and we have signs of preflower so this forthcoming week will be the first week of flower. There is a smell to her today like Rhubarb. UnorthadoxDude Hello growmies and welcome to week five for Medusa the Mystery Auto by Fast Buds. Week 4 has been completed now so please go any check it out. Just to remind you there has been no training at all, Medusa is just splitting herself as she sees fit. I'm leltting her grow with no training other than a little bit of defoliation. She is show clear signs of preflowering now and she has suddenly developed a nice smell. Day 30 and I have decided today is training day for all my plants. Unfortuantely I split the stalk when I tried to LST the main stems from this freaky growing Mystery Auto. So I bound it together with a bit of training wire, fingers crossed it recovers. Bent some upper stems over. Day 32: Applied more LST. Spotted early N tox on one of the other plants, so I have watered approx 3l with CalMag only with at least 50% runoff as a mini-flush. Will resume fertigation in a few days. Day 33: You can see a bit of yellowing on the tips of new growth, which demonstrates that yesterday's flush was necessary. Day 35: She is stretching up. I have just applied her final preflower training - separating stems, defoliating for airflow, and light access, removal of lowest 25% of growth, tying down of multiple stems, and finally super-cropping two tall stems that I couldn't apply LST to because of the split in the main stalk. Day 36: She responded well to the training. I made some adjustment and accidentally snapped one of the stems. I didn't have any tape to repair, so I attempted a repair with shaping wire. We will see what happens. It's not the end of the world if it doesn't recover. As we now have multiple stems about the same height. This girl is really taking shape. Regular updates to come through the week. Day 38: Fertigated 3.5l and adjusted LST of one branch. Day 40: Stretching a lot now, and starting to smell more. Day 41: Measured Medusa, she is 60cm tall. Day 44 - I think we are just past the halfway stage, I am expecting this girl to be ready at around week 12. When taking the photos and inspecting today I have noticed that she is turning purple at the bud sides, we also have the first trichomes developing. Earlier in the grow when Medusa split herself spontaneously, a growmie on X said he had this mutation a lot with Fast Buds Banana Purple Punch strain. The plot thickens! Regular updates to come through the week. Day 45 - had a 10 hour power outage Day 46 - Lighting schedule is messed up, power has been off today and will be going off again. So I am just leaving the light on at the moment. Will set it back to 20/4 tomorrow. Fertigated 6l. Day 48 - Medusa continues to develop purple colouring, more trichomes being developed. Did a minor defoliation and LST adjustment. Medusa smells dank. Day 49 - Fertigated 3.5l - end of week 7, she is going more and more purple and the trichs are starting to develop more. Day 60 - Fertigated 7.5l - EC 2.6 - PH 6 - Medusa smells really intruiging. She is starting to stack flower and the buds are developing nicely. More and more frost is coming, and the purple colouring is abundant. I have added photos of the whole tent for comparison/reference. Day 61 - Due to another plant in this grow getting too tall, I've raised the light to the maximum possible, within 1 inch of the top of the tent. Medusa is a very pretty plant, she is also now the shortest plant in the tent at just 75cm. She is really stacking flowers and weight now. I am excited to see how she finishes. Day 73 - Fertigated 5l - 2.7 EC - 6 PH - I need to stop cutting branchs to quick dry or there will be none left to harvest. Day 77 - Fertigated 5l - 2.5 EC - 6 PH - Medusa is struggling to support herself. Did a microscopy check, plenty of ambers on the sugar leaves, but none on the actual buds yet.
