- Soaked seed in a cup of water: 13 Feb 2025
After soaking for a bit the seed dropped to the bottom and then after a day and still no sign of the taproot. The seed seems fine though!
- Planted the seed in a small pot: 15 Feb 2025
Since there wasn’t any sign of a taproot, decided to plant the seed in a small paper pot for easier upgrade later.

As you can see, she is doing fantastic!
This week will be the end of her seedling phase and the start of her vegetative phase. Since she is an autoflower, I will consider her officially in 'veg' when her first pair of multi-fan leaves start growing.
She sprouted in a small paper pot and will be transplanted to her final pot very soon. In the meantime I gave her a crystal companion so she can have a close confidant next to her lovely neughbours in the tent.
After she didn’t show major growth on days 6 till 8 I thought this might be because of the paper pot being too small. So she was transplanted on day 8. Because of the use of the BioTabs plant perfect pack, and the consideration that the mycorrhiza need good connection to the tooth’s I decided to peel the paper pot off before transplanting. This might have caused unnecessary stress but maybe worth the trade off.

She is doing very well after the transplantation. BioTabs seem to be helping her greatly too!
I’ve been feeding her water by hand with a syringe until now. Grok revelead that 70 mL of water a day was too little, so I’ve brought it up to 200 mL a day.
She endured under-watering, a lamp hung up too far and a transplanting. She is doing well despite all these challenges!
I will of course continue to do my best to give her the best conditions possible.

I’m happy to note that this Runtz Lady is happy in her small home. Despite the limited size of her tent, she greatly enjoys her 20 liter fabric root holder.
Recently she has had her watering droppers installed. Two drip-heads, delivering her 30ml of H2O in 30 seconds every 2 hours.
She specifically enjoys the fact that she shares the tent with other beautiful plants.
We are looking forward to install the fan later this week.
What is fascinating is that the CO2 measures as 1200 during my real night, even though I sometimes do a 24 hour light cycle. I am grateful for all the answers about the 24 hour lighting method and will not try it again. Blessings to other growers.
I am thinking about giving her 24h lights a few days a week and then go back to 18h. Just to give her a boost. Will this irregular light schedule harm her?
My first thought is that it doesn’t matter much since she is an auto, however I know that plants love balanced environments.
18/6 is optimal........you will not achieve anything by going to 24/0.........except a bigger electricity bill and a freaked out plant.
All cannabis plants, autos included, NEED "sleep" during every 24 hour cycle for a correctly functioning metabolism.
A plant with a messed up metabolism will never grow to its full potential.
It will not finish faster at 24/0..........a plant can only grow so much during any 24 hour period and this growth tops out at about yhe 18 hour mark......this is a scientific fact, not ghetto science!
People who run 20/4 or 22/2 or 19/5 are kidding themselves, all they are doing is wasting electricity and paying higher bills for no benefit.
