Senior_Weed First grow and both seeds germinated right away. 😍 Unfortunately, I buried the germinated seeds a bit too deep in the medium, so they lost a bit of life (2 days) before they even saw the light of day.

Senior_Weed Both little ones are happily coming out of the substrate and growing splendidly. :) I'm curious to see how the grow develops and I'm trying to improve my patience so I don't keep checking the tent or fiddling with the humidity and light intensity. :D But with an average humidity of 70% and a PPFD of 300 to 350, I shouldn't be doing much wrong in theory, and I hope to make up for the lost days with the long journey to the surface. The only problems I have are with watering. Due to my lack of experience, I still find it hard to judge when and how much to water at this early stage. I rely heavily on my sense of touch and feel the moisture of the soil, trying not to keep it wet all the time to give the little ones some air to breathe.

Senior_Weed At first, week 2 went by without any problems. Unfortunately, the Guava started developing yellow spots during the week, and the leaves curled up a bit. In my confusion, I asked in several forums, and it’s very likely that the small amount of Bio Grow I added to the BioBizz Light Mix at the beginning was just too much... I never thought I would manage to over-fertilize a plant organically on my very first grow, but oh well, it is what it is... Unfortunately, this just pushes the development gap compared to the LCC even further. I'm curious to see how this will affect the final result and hope that the Guava recovers quickly and catches up a bit. Despite the setbacks, I'm becoming more relaxed day by day, and a certain routine is slowly setting in. There's still so much to learn, and I'm finding more and more enthusiasm for growing, and the ambition to do everything better next time keeps rising. 💪

Senior_Weed Week 3 unfortunately didn't go so well. The LCC is growing tirelessly and is already being trained with LST, but the Guava is suffering quite a bit because of it. After plenty of research and enormous help from MistaOC (definitely check out his profile here on GrowDiaries), we were able to identify the problem by the end of the week. The culprit was the pH level of my water. I was so stupid and thought the soil could easily buffer the pH, but I was shocked to find out that my tap water has a pH of about 9.4. As a result, the nutrients couldn't be properly absorbed. Accordingly, I immediately ordered a pH pen and pH Down from Bio Bizz. I hope that over the next week the problems will resolve themselves. Additionally, I removed 1-2 fan leaves from both ladies that had yellow spots and were completely covering potential side branches. I let the Guava grow without LST so it can catch up to the height of the LCC.

Senior_Weed The adjusted pH level solved the problems so both could continue to grow beautifully. Due to the wrong pH and way too dry soil, I left a lot of potential on the table with this grow. Unfortunately, that's part of my journey, and I won't make those mistakes again. I guess I'll have to settle for somewhat smaller plants and hope that the quality will make up for the small quantity a bit. Towards the end of the week, I also started LST with the Guava. The LCC received its Bio Bloom via top dressing this week since it's slowly transitioning into flowering.

Senior_Weed The LCC is in the middle of flowering and is starting to get juicy buds. But the Guava has also made good progress and is slowly entering the flowering stage with a week's delay. The smells are getting stronger day by day, and I can't help but grin every time I open the tent. From now on, it's important to stay on top of things so both can fully focus on flowering. I've stopped with the LST and I'm just removing the occasional leaves on both that cover potential buds. The plan was actually to lollipop the ladies, but I'll skip that given their small size and likely low yield. I'm excited about every bud, no matter how small it is😂. The LCC is also taking on slight purple hues, and I'm even more curious about what the final product will look like.

Senior_Weed This week, the Guava also got its top dressing, and otherwise, it was diligently watered every 2 days, and some leaves were removed. The buds are getting thicker day by day, and more and more trichomes are appearing. The smell is slowly getting stronger, but for now, the activated carbon filter is still managing to filter everything. I'm curious to see how it goes from here and how much longer the girls will need.

Senior_Weed They were simply watered every other day with about 2L of water, and occasionally, larger fan leaves were removed to allow for good air circulation.

Senior_Weed I just continued to water 2L per plant every two days. At the end of the week, the long-awaited vacation is coming up. A buddy will take good care of the girls while I'm away. The way the trichomes look, the LCC might be ready for harvest after my vacation.

Senior_Weed While the LCC is already drying in my old tent, the Guava has moved into the new Spider Farmer complete system. This will accompany me in my future grows and help me maintain all parameters as automated as possible. The Guava continues to get water every two days and is maturing on its own in the 70x70 tent. I suspect it will be ready by the end of the week, and then both will go to dry in the new Spider Farmer tent since I can better control the parameters for drying there.

Senior_Weed As expected, I was able to harvest the LCC at the end of week 9 after my vacation. Unfortunately, I missed the best harvest time due to the vacation, but since I prefer the calming effect, it's not that bad for me. When wet, the little one weighed 128g and it's currently drying in the tent. I'm aiming for about 10 days of drying time. Dry weight, pictures of the buds, and smoke report will follow.
