Planted dry seeds directly in coco 1” deep —no soaking and no paper towel. Topped with Water only.
2/22/25 @ 7 PM
The seed has sprouted!
2/23/25 @ 7 AM
Day four: Added nutrients at 7:00 AM.
- 1 tsp Cal-Mag per gallon
- 2 tsp Canna A/B per gallon
Current Measurements:
- pH: 5.8
- EC: 2.0
- PPFD: 150
- Duration 24/0
- VPD: 1.0
Things are progressing well. I’m Top feeding until i have some runoff to establish the root zone. Hoping to have it in the auto pot system in the next couple days.
PPFD 200
Duration 24/0
EC 2.0
PH 5.8
VPD 1
Week 2
Day 9 the roots were getting close to the bottom. So I transplanted into a 5 gallon fabric pot. Made a gallon of nutrient solution. Once it runs out I’ll slowly start upping the EC and PPFD

Week 3 Update: Days 14-21
3/6/25
Day 1:
I tossed dry seeds directly into some coco to see how they would respond without soaking or using a paper towel. The system is now fully operational, with the air pump and aqua valve running as they should.
I’m pleased with the progress so far!
- EC: 2.0
- pH: 5.9
- PPFD: 375
- Light Duration: 24 hours
Day 16 update.
- EC: 2.5
- pH: 5.8
- PPFD: 380
- Light Duration: 24 hours

420 Autoflower Scrog Method. First selective defoliations to expose nodes. One more week and I will strip her down and flatten her out. First time scrog so we’ll see what happens.
Will do some leaf tucking. Overall happy with shape and size. Mixing nutrients in
2 gallon bucket.
5 tsp canna A/B
4 tsp Cannazyme
2 tsp Cali magic.
Week 5, still in veg. Starting to show pistals. Still tucking and selective defoliating. Next couple days should continue to stretch before I flatten for my first auto scrog grow.
Update:
30 days ago this was a dry seed. I set out on a mission to see if I could scrog an auto with as good if not better result then just letting them do their thing. Having never done this before it was a bit nerve racking. But then at the end of the day worse case I start over if it doesn’t work. Follow along as we see it hay happens when you scrog an auto in a 2x2 tent with a 5 gallon autopot xl system.
Update:
Alright, this little lady is responding well to the defoliation, super cropping, and the addition of a floating scrog! In the last three days, she has consumed two gallons of nutrients, which indicates it’s time to increase the feeding schedule.
- EC: 2.8
- pH: 5.8
Let’s see what happens next!
Six days after my first super crop and everything has recovered nicely. I would have thought with all that stress it was sure to stunt/ early flower. But it has not. I’m impressed.
wow! super sativa pheno is no joke! she took the super-cropping better than most photoperiods would have...autopots seem to well , what is your opinion on them?...simply way far along for a 36 day old plant, and here comes the stretch, oh my, my!
most recent pics of the Chem91 and the HighLux days 49 and 47 respectively.
@sanibelisl, thanks man autopot is a huge part of it. I definitely wouldn’t be feeding them nearly as much as they drink on their own. But it’s really just dialing in the system as a whole. Making sure VPD, DLI PH EC are all spot on with where I want it. If any of them are off the plants will stunt. Also Good quality medium (I use pre buffered coco) genetics and nutrients also make a big difference.
queens banner, this is one of the strains i picked up on the valentines day drop ,the other being a harvey wallbanger...i too am growing in coco and am using canna a,b nutrients along with rhizotonic... i see you have thrown the recommended feeding chart out the window, but i must say your girl does't seem to matter much as there are no signs of nutrient abnormalities what so ever...i don;t know how the scrog net will work with the rapid growth that is about to take place... i have seen lots of pics of this strain that were untrained and they were monsters 3-4 feet tall or better with an unbelievable even canopy for plants that weren't topped and lst applied... she sure is sweet looking and photographs nicely... ? do the air domes work 24/7 or do they cycle on and off as the auto valve releases more water to the plant trays?
@sanibelisl, queens banner is definitely a monster strain. Previous grow I did two in a 4x4 that got around 60”. And filled the tent.
For my feeding schedule I follow the Canna schedule very loosely. And focus more on the EC I’m aiming for.
Air domes run 24/7. Important to have those set at the right GPH or it’ll mess with the aquavalve.
I run 24/0 because the room they are in, will drop in temp too much if the lights go out,
Here’s a picture of two queens banner un trained.
Holy Sh.t!!! New net looks so much better. I can’t even tell you super-cropped her, she bounced back way better than I could have imagined.
How much credit do you give to the autopot system for obviously providing the correct amount of water the plant needs when it needs it?
This diary may go down as one of the most impressive and informative I have seen to date.
Now you should mainline her. Why not. lol
@sanibelisl, thanks man! That’s the goal. Took a lot of info from different people online that have awesome grows and put it all together
Autopot, good nutrients and good genetics all play a roll for sure. I would never feed my plants as much as they drink on their own.
@sanibelisl, haha yeah. So i switched it up a bit since this photo I’ll post it tomorrow. I super cropped it and switched the net out for a floating screen. This is just a test run cause I wasn’t sure how it would go. Next round I am going to definitely be in the big tent. Have one plants and it will be the blappleberry.
