I germinated the seed in a peat plug at around 20 Celsius. It took seven days for the seed to break ground. I immediately transferred to the final pot and started growing under 92W cfl 6500k.
I added another CFL 23W 6500k, which gets me to 115W. I kept the clear plastic dome over the seedling in week one and the high night humidity seemed to slow growth so I removed it and the plant seemed to take off.
One of the top leaves started to brown, which I suspect was heat exposure as it grew too close to the lights. I am happy with growth. Very bushy and 29cm tall, but I am wondering how things will progress during the flowering stage.
The plant has stretched considerably and pistils have formed on the secondary branches. The flower development on main cola seems delayed compared to this and other auto strains. What are your thoughts? @Canuk_Seeds
Fungus gnats started to appear, but suspect that this will not be detrimental.
Hello, I just noticed that some of my leaves are starting to have slight discoloration and some holes. See images in week 6. I don't see evidence of bugs or mildew and my fan may have been too close for the leaf with holes. I feed once a week and have switched to a high K feed.
Hey there CannabisTrope, I cant really say for sure 100% because you're not showing me your feed or your pH, but I'm seeing the symptoms of the very start of a phosphorous deficiency. You can tell from the "splotchy-style" deficiency you're seeing , this might get worse and turn colorful. Just make sure your "high K feed" also has an appropriate P content for a good NPK ratio during flower. You caught the thing very early so hopefully the plant will recover quickly. The plant stretched to 71cm before I ran out of vertical space. The top cola was blocking light of lower bud sites, so I bent that bad girl over. Still having issues with lowest leaves getting mottled colour and yellowing. Using molasses and 15-15-30 fertilizer.
Vertical growth has slowed down. Still showing signs of either too much nitrogen (burn) or too little potassium (brown spots and wrinkle). Buds are growing and trichomes are showing, so I won't start bemoaning.
The start of week nine and the trichomes are covering sugar leaves and calyx. The buds are not overly big, likely due to CFL set up, but I am supper happy with progress. This will be my last week with nutrients as I plan to harvest at the end of week 11. Was hoping to grow outside this summer but local regs in my province only allow plants to be grown in enclosed and secure structures.
What can I say. Getting so close to the end and having very few problems. I can only imagine how well things would have gone with better lighting and more cannabis specific nutrients.
I am flushing with 10-12 litre of water this and last week. Not set up for the full flush, so I am going to get as much water through as possible without making too much of a mess. I used 7.5-7.5-15 with a TBS of blackstrap molasses every week throughout the flowering period.
I had to harvest the largest colas early as I am heading out of town and wanted time to get everything dried and curing before leaving.
First grow. Very happy with outcome. Canuk has a great strain here. I had almost no problems throughout the grow and this strain produced a good yield and surprisingly dense buds for a CFL grow. My buds have a mix of skunk and sweet smells and it had a great earthy taste when vaped. A slight head high that transitioned to a nice relaxing body high. A great balance of euphoric and relaxing.
Well that's all folks. Had a blast. Can't wait to improve my skills and generate some dense and dank buds. Learned alot and looking forward to my next grow. I am heading out of town soon so I decided to harvest the remaining colas on day 73. Peace00
This is my first time growing cannabis. My original plan was to grow as cheaply as possible using my own version of a space bucket (garbage bin). I may have to reconsider this as space becomes limited and smell becomes too strong. I have been enjoying it so far.
I am wondering if my CFLs (115W total) are leading to a slightly taller and bushier plant. It looks really healthy but worried that she is going to stretch a lot during the veg to flower transition.
@growdoctordc, Thanks, I have 115W above and 69W around the outside shining upwards. I am still somewhat limited in space, but she has slowed down considerably, so hopefully I don't run out of space before the end. To the novice, the buds are looking great and the leaf discoloration is not progressing rapidly through the plant so I hope I caught any deficiencies.
I have been enjoying it, so regardless of the yield I am happy with the progress.

It DOES look healthy. I looked at pics before I learned you use a garbage bin. Great idea as a mini tent!
Fluorescent power diminishes more than other lights. Only the leaves very near it are receiving light.
LED has better penetration. HID the best, but comes with a bag of concerns.
If your using household bulbs, arrange them so they surround her, not just from above. That might have helped.
But lower leaves naturally yellow and die. You’ll still get bud.
Better light = better bud... to a point.
