3.3.25: Thanks to everybody who answered my question on what to grow next! Straight to work, we're going with FastBuds Mix seed. I decided to use my 8 Gallon pot instead of the 10, to have a bit more room. I reused my old soil, replenished with Ecothrive Life Cycle and Ecothrive Charge, Cinnamon and Great White. I added a little extra perlite. I do love the stuff! 😅 Anyway let's see, fingers crossed 🤞 Thanks for stopping by 🤞🍃✌️

If you reuse your soil, please let me know your process below! How do you store your soil between runs etc. Thank you 😊

It’s a process that doesn’t guarantee good results, but that doesn’t mean you won’t get them either. It’s a risk because you don’t know exactly how many nutrients are still available in the soil and what you might need to add to balance it. I’d only do it if the previous grow was organic—otherwise, I wouldn’t risk it. That being said, my Durban Poison actually grew in reused soil, and I didn’t have major issues, just a slight excess of CalMag in the early stage, which forced me to do a flush-style watering to balance the nutrients in the soil. To reuse my soil, I stored it in a plastic container for a month, watering once a week with molasses to let it cook over time. I added some fresh soil, a bit of SuperSoil, worm humus, mycorrhizae, and leftover solid nutrients from previous grows, like silica, fish meal, blood meal, alfalfa, and dolomite. That’s also why I took the risk—it was more about using up the leftover nutrients I had at home and avoiding the hassle of carrying old soil from my room to the garden. 🤣

5.2.25: The seed has broken ground, and the shell is still on, so keeping up the moisture. Approximately 37 hours after planting. I added a heat mat, which I had spare from my reptiles. It only like 5 Watts, but I just thought the germination process would benefit from a little extra warmth. So far, so good 👍🍃✌️

14.3.25: FastBuds Mystery seed grow #1 🌱 We're looking good, nice, strong, and healthy seedling. She started praying after the feeding today. I watered a couple of litres over the last week. I've been watering around the whole pot to encourage root stretching and kick-start the dry amendments and feed the Mycorrhizae. I left the first 2 inches around the seedling until today 🌱 Today, I watered with 500mls of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.2 with: ♡ Meridian Organic Black Strap Molasses ♡ Ecothrive Biosys Thanks for checking in ✌️🌱🤞💚

She is 3 days ahead of my RQS Northern Lights, which I have topped or fimmed. I planned to do this one, too, but it's not quite ready yet. Otherwise, she's looking very good. We'll see how this week goes and hopefully get it done by the end of the week. 23.3.25: FastBuds Mystery seed #1 is ready to be topped today. I went ahead with alcohol sterilised scissors and cut the two tiny leaves from the centre of the plant. Everything went very well and a clean cut was made. The plant is looking great afterwards. Thanks for checking in ✌️🌱🤞💚

The plant responded well to topping. There is a pencil shape to her, both tops very close together, so I used the clips to LST them in a move constructive direction. Considering she is 3 days older than my Northern Lights, it's quite astonishing for me to see the differences between them. I also went ahead and topped the two tops again. This time by rolling the centre heart out. Thereby eliminating the stress. I want to give her the best chance against my Northern Lights, as she has 7 tops now. Watering with Ecothrive Biosys: .5g/2 litres. I water 2 litres of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4, whenever the pot dries out. Usually about 3-4 days. Looking good, if a little strange. Thanks for hanging out 🍃 ✌️ 💚 🙂

6.4.25: I watered with 2ltrs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4 with the following nutrients;- ♡ 4ml Xpert Nutrients Cal-Mag amino acids ♡ .75g Ecothrive Biosys Total PPM 880. 6.4.25: FastBuds Mystery Seed #1: She has been topped twice and is looking pretty strong 💪 She has grown vertically, and leaves are always praying. Possibly too much light, so I have turned the dimmer down to about 90%. There are slight bleached tips on a couple of top leaves. I'm hoping to do the same LST with garden wire here very soon. Overall, the plant has nice big, fat leaves. Seemingly lush colour and vigorously growing since the double toppings. Very nice plant so far. 👌 I have made the fleece tabs, and attached them as on my Northern Lights plant. I have started LST using the wire shown in photos. As well as two of the LST clips. I watered beforehand with 2 litres PH'd to 6.5 with 1g Ecothrive Biosys. The plant is looking great. Nicely structured. I'm going to do my very best not to mess this up!! 🤞 Thanks for hanging out 🍃 ✌️ 💚 🙂

Good luck, mate! Do you know which strains were included in the mix pack? 🌱🔥
Kirsten
Kirstencommenteda month ago
Exactly! 😩 That's the only downside to buying the mix pack from FastBuds. RQS does state the strains you'll receive, which I like much better! 💚

On one hand, it's fun because you don’t know what to expect, but on the other hand, if you end up with one you really like and can’t identify it....that would drive me crazy too, hahaha!😤

Hey Friend! 🧡 Thank you! 😃 Unfortunately, not. They state that it can be any of their current auto strains, but I decided to go with it. I bought the seeds last summer so it may not include the 2024 strains. It might drive me mad if once it's grown I can't identify it, honestly! 😅🍃✌️
