Start date: 4/3/19
Germinated in fulvic+kelp water cup.
Planted in 0.01L pot regular soil.
Watering: rainwater
2-3 days after sprout I put at the bottom of the bucket (7spacers)
after I came back 3 days later seedling was almost dead, literally laid down on the ground.
I put a stick to support it, moved it back to the desk lamp, leaves are growing in a better phase than I expected from such trauma.
Day 5
It stunted the seedling pretty bad, very slow growth, but it's recovering
Day 8
Transplanted to a 1 liter pot. watered with about 100ml + small amount of KNF
Day 10
Gonna be gone for 3 days
Day 12
Watered rainwater till dropoff
***:Reminder: add soil to the top of the pot next watering
switched to 20/4
Day 24
Transplanted to a 2 gallon smart pot, added mycorihza in transplant area
lux: 20k (side-leds + 2 spacers + seedling bulb on top)
Day 27
Topped using Uncle Ben's topping, I had 5-6 nodes when I made the cut, i transplanted the cut to practice on my first clone
Day 45
Applied the final LST, to get the 2 main colas at the same height as the rest of the developing colas.
Watered with nutrients (listed) till dropoff, solution was 5.75 pH, runoff water ph'd @ 6.25
Day 54
ITS A FEMALE!!!!!!!! So happy to finally get my first female
Been away for more than a week, growth just exploded since the feed @ day 45
Watered with rainwater
runoff ph 6.75
Pruned some of the lower, yellowing/rotten leaves
Day 56
Decided to supercrop/bend the 2 main stems since they were a bit taller than the rest of the tops.
Humidity is 80%, which is not really good, maybe because I just watered, we will see how it goes.
accidently snapped one of the stems, I taped a stick to the stem to hold it together till it heals
Day 58
Took the bandage off, stem repaired itself quickly
RH: 60%
Day 59
Tommorow we flip to flower
sprayed with KNF
Day 60
Spraying KNF was a bad idea, plant now looks like it's burnt.
Starting 12/12 today
Day 72
Lowered bucket height, from 6 spacers to 5 spacers
Lowered the cob from 48w to 40w
Day 74
Increasing the light had no bad effects on the plant, gonna increase again in a couple days
watered rainwater
Day 77
lux is now 48k-58k within the bucket, still using 5 spacers
Day 79
watered rainwater
Day 84
Watered rainwater with kelp, my noob senses telling me the yellowing on lower leaves and burnt tips are P defeciency.
Buds are progressing really well, and growth has slowed down but still grrowing
Day 86
Just reporting in that I think the kelp was a good idea. She's looking very healthy (expect for the bottom burnt leaves)
Leaves are growing noticably each day.
Day 88
Watered rainwater
Day 99
Buds are starting to fatten up, just found out my canopy was getting 40k-50k lux, so I removed another spacer
So 4 spacers now, getting about 52k lux for the entire canopy, we will see how heat is affected, might increase the intensity a tiny bit more
Day 100
Watered rainwater
I just realized i've been underwatering her, we are at week 5-6 of flowering, I hope the damage to the yields will not be big
Day 103
Watered
Day 106
Watered
Day 109
Watered
Plucked off a single fan leave that was blocking light, it was half burnt.
I wonder if this is good or bad, considering how far I am in flowering
Day 112
Watered
Day 113
Sugar leaves on the 2 main colas are turning purple!
I wonder if this is a sign of a problem or just the plant's genetics
Day 115
Watered
Day 118
Watered
Day 136
Watered
Day 139
Watered
Decided to go with staggered harvest
I chopped down the 2 big colas, gonna leave the rest to mature abit more.
Both colas weighted total of 54g wet
@Puffer_Bill, That's correct.
I'm using a 30w cob (cxb 3590) for veg, inside a small enclosed white bucket. The white walls of the bucket reflect back all the light that goes sideways, this drives the lux up by atleast 3 times.
Getting 30k-40k lux and more with a 30w COB easily, with temps @ 24C.
Really glad I picked that light up :)
Hi. I think your container is too small for the size of the seedling you've got. General rule of thumb is the roots are as big as what is on top of tge soil. I suggest you transplant it asap. Also your soil must not be too wet coz you'll might get a condition called 'damping off' and your seedling will die.
@greenbuddy, also why I origionally mentioned your pot is too small. Once your seedlings root sense the extremeties of the pot it grows more slowly as there is only so much space for its roots to grow... but on the other extreme if you have a small plant in a large pot, the plant's roots can suck up all the water fast enough, hence the soil stays moist for too long, causing nasty fungus to grow.
There are techniques to combat this (for a small plant in a large pot) to only water a small bit round the plants roots and not to drench the entire container.
@greenbuddy, any amount of water for any size of pot is fine as long as if there is too much that the water can drain out the bottom. Once watered allow your roots to dry out a bit before next watering. Roots need oxygen as well - else too wet conditions cause root rot.
About 'damping off' is a condition that occurs with seedings mainly in organic soil that is not sterile. What happens is when conditions are too wet most of the time, certain type fungus grows that kills the seedling. Now this fungus can stay dormant in that soil. Now when you germinate a new seed is that same soil and seedling is doomed from the start. Good idea for prevention is to spray soil and seeds/seedling with dilution of hydrogen peroxide. Best to start seedling in sterile grow medium and once big and strong enough transplant to whatever grow medium.
@@Simsalabim, My previous seedling had 4 nodes @ 20 days old before the roots filled the entire container.
About the damping off, do you think 100ml for this pot (1 liter i think) is too much? From what I know, damping off happens not by quantity of water, but by how often you are watering.
