Hi Growers!šŸ‘‹ I'm in sore need of your help and advice. As you can see, I've a very specific handmade growbox(dimensions on the first week). The light right now is about 30cm above the plants, and I don't know what to do in the very near future: LST/HST/Topping or ScrOG Thanks!šŸ™Œ

Hey there Abava, great question ! see with autos everything is more difficuly mostly because they "stiffen up" quicker than autos, that means that any LST becomes more difficult because if you leave the plant too long it will "stiffen" up. Even after the 3rd week, i've seen growers struggle with plants that stiffened up quicker than they thought it would. So any LST, start it as soon as possible , and remember to anchor the plant's base. For topping, you need to look at the plant, see if it's still vegging and if it has enough nodes wait until there's four nodes and top at the 4th node for best results, dont do it too early as it will stunt the auto forever. Hope this helps ! šŸš€

Hi growers! Should I change my light schedule for my plants when they come to flowering period? Now I have grow-LEDs (300W) at 18 hr/day and daylight-LEDs (120W) at 24 hr/day. Plants start to get bushy and start dwarfling - i'm concerned I have too much light on them.

Wll you can let them run for 24 Hours, but in my opinion , everyone got have time to rest. Ive tried all different light schedules, and iam not rtecommending the 24 hours, plants get stressed easily. Vive them any schedule between 18 and 22 hours. I most Time pic 18 or 20 hours light. !8 is the minimum they should get. happy flowering

@Abava,you humidity should be finešŸ‘ But during flower your going to want to keep and eye on it and try to keep it under 55% RH. I go 35% in flower but as long as you keep it 55 an under in late flowing stages you'll be fine. Happy Growing!

@Abava,your humidity is ok for now

@Thee_HoffGuyy, thank you for advice! I agree with you on fertilizer - better to underdo, than overdo. The biggest problem with weighin the pots is that they are placed up high in the attic, so I need to use stepladder to get there... Pretty complicated deal but I have to stay concealed with my little garden šŸ˜‚. So I will try to just feel the water with my fingers and see if itā€™s time to water. By the way, do you think air humidifier is needed in the room? Humidity now is swinging... from 45 to 75 per cent. Will humidifier help the plants anyhow?

Nice pics of your Girls , atm i would say they are dwarfing, rise your lights to make them more stretch....
Mrs_Larimar

@Abava,i would gt them a rest and take any lightschedule between 18-22 hours. If its getting warmer its better too, to turn off the light to cool down. And rootdevelopment works better if plants have a rest.. big roots... bifg flowers

@Abava,i see no problems going on with your chicks, they are very busy with developing flowers. and i cant tell ya why the dont smell atm

@Abava, ok got it... well thats the conditions. as long as they dont get burned( lightburn) everything is ok. you got to keep them very short then if you only have 50 cm. its good to know, and no they wont be harmed as long as it isnt to bright or to hot.......go on with your LST looks good

@Mrs_Larimar, hi! Iā€™ve got a little problem with one of my chicks... itā€™s got all itā€™s leaves down and it slowed down on growing flowers. I treat all plants the same and they are mostly in the same conditions, but one of my dwarves lowered its leaves. Whatā€™s the problem with it do you think? Or maybe itā€™s not a problem? Thanks

Abava
@Mrs_Larimar, yeah! Iā€™m so happy to see them! Both widows are starting to form flowers, but dwarves seem to be slower... do you know what is the average bloom period? Looking forward to harvest them!

@Abava,well i dont know because i dont know the lux of the lamps and your growspace. you see it how they react. Atm they look good. if they start to strech to much lowr the light/ give more. if they are dwarfing/ nodes close together... the light is to near, / to strong but a true 120 w should be enough for 1squaremeeter. if its not enough add your older lights iam gonna follow up to see ... for more just ask

@Mrs_Larimar, hi again! Iā€™m planning to move my plants to another place now and there are only daylight LED lamps total for about 120W. Iā€™m concerned about the amount of light for the plants and whether I need red and UV lights for flowering period. Do you think my chickens can be fine under daylight lamps with 120W or I need some extra light?
Abava
Abava
@Mrs_Larimar, hey, thanks a lot for your answer and comment! Iā€™ve put some effort to personalize my chickens :) Iā€™ll lower my day lamps and see how my littles perform.

i would cut down Or reduce drasticly all grow fertilisers.....you use a 20-20-20 product and a growing fertiliser and in my opinion you use 10 times to much

@Mrs_Larimar, hi again! I'm looking at my white widow buds and can't judge whether it is ready for harvesting or not. about 50% of the pistils are brown by now and trichomes in the buds became a little white and cloudy (see the pictures at day 65). Do you think its time to harvest this one or better to wait couple weeks more? Thank you.

@Mrs_Larimar, Dear Larimar, Thank you very much for you help and supportšŸ˜˜! Ī¤he experience was amazing and "eggs" are very nicešŸ˜‰. Of course the result could be better, but we've done our best! Aslo I've made a brownie cake with Dwarf (oohh, that was cool).šŸ˜‹ Just one thing I wonder... Why my 'heads" looks like a herbal tea, not as normal onešŸ˜• And there is no cannabis flavor, just smells like Ī’ergamot (Earl Grey)

Ok seen it atm..... well normally is droopy leaves hanging leaves a sign for overwatering. i will let you a troubleshooter graphic in the link. and i would pick another fertiliser....for blooming only.. 20 percent nitrogen is way to much.... https://www.growweedeasy.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/cannabis-plant-problem-flowchart.jpg so you can check where the problem is, because only you know your actions

@biggreens420, thanks for advice! Iā€™m following the hP ratio strictly and diluting the nutrient, watering every forth day and my littles are getting better and better now. The only problem I have now is that they start smelling like hell. I didnā€™t expect them to start smelling so much at week 3-4. Is it normal? Now it feels like someone is having a joint nearby... I thought the odor appears only at blooming stage. Do you think carbon filter on the exhaust fan will solve the problem with odor?
biggreens420
biggreens420
@Abava,yeah most soil normally already has an npk value to it so you shouldn't need to feed for first few weeks and as others have stated about the 20-20-20 I would probably only use that at a diluted rate at the beginning of flower and the easy boost should do the rest really soil holds water more than any other media so just make sure the pot is light before watering and ph is between 6 and 6.5 you will notice when they are asking for more nutes as they will start to fade and go pale .. dark green means too much nutrients hope this helps bro and to check u can use a e.c tds tester u can find them online for around Ā£15 Ā£20 and then water the plant until it runs out of bottom of the pot and test the water coming out at week 3 you want e.c around 0.6 - 0.8 e.c but I expect in the soil with the nutes you added the e.c will be a lot higher at this point
Abava
Abava
@biggreens420,thanks! Iā€™ll start bending them next week and see how it goes. Iā€™m not sure about the soil - I bought it in a regular agriculture shop. Thereā€™s not too many shops in my place so Iā€™m limited in choice. The guy in the shop told me that the soil is some kind of mixture of different types of soil and some perlite. Thatā€™s it. I couldnā€™t find coco soil around but I heard itā€™s really good for my purpose. Do you think regular soil is fine for good growing? Any ideas on how to check the content or itā€™s irrelevant at this stage?
