TweetNL Started with 2x Skunk #1 and 1x Purple Bud. One purple bud seed didn't sprout well and still had the seed stuck on the first two leaves, this later turned out to be a male despite being feminized seeds. Disappointing as the other Purple bud is growing very well and looks like it will be a great smoke and better than the Skunk #1.
TweetNL At this stage it was clear one of the purple bud one was a Male. I expected this from early on due to the leaf structure and growth traits, it looked very different from the others - but I let it run as the seeds were feminized...apparently. Frustrating to lose some weight from the yield...

TweetNL They got very bushy due to the indica traits, so they got defoliated and some LST to expose bud sites and make better use of the space / light, since we are now unfortunately down one plant.
TweetNL Purple bud looks amazing. It's a pity the other plant turned out to be a male! I'll be buying this strain again for sure - same age, condition, feeding schedule and seed price as the skunk #1, but look at the difference!

TweetNL Skunk is catching up now and the main cola is really putting on the weight. Some browning of the hairs starting to show. Purple bud looking more impressive every day.
Some brown spots showing on the top sugar leaves. I suspect it is due to the cooling fan of the light blowing down hot air?
I've adjusted the fans to blow air directly over the top of the main cola's and I increased the light distance.
Hi Tweet, great grow , really healthy throughout ! What I think happened is that the lamp to plant distance is a bit short so the top of the plant reacted to that. you can see the top leaves cupping from the heat and the stress, and that's where the browning is coming from. Adjust your lights higher to deal with the heat and light stress and it should recover quickly. Hope this helps ! 🚀
Super evening smoke, really nice unique taste - I can only describe it like a cheese x blueberry cross. The skunk is a classic and was really smooth and mellow, a pleasure to smoke even during the day.
