Orange Apricot Glue XL Auto by Sweet Seeds
The Strain:
The Orange Apricot Glue XL Auto from Sweet Seeds is a powerful and aromatic autoflowering strain, known for its citrusy and fruity aroma combined with a strong resin production. This plant is expected to deliver dense buds covered in trichomes, offering a potent and well-balanced effect. It’s my first time growing this strain, so I’m excited to see how it develops.
The Grow:
I planted the seed in the same bed as the Black Muffin, where it will have to thrive under 12 hours of light from the very beginning. Positioned in the shadow of the monstrous Black Muffin, this strain will need to adapt and fight for its space, making this an exciting grow to observe.
The bed is filled with high-quality Schwarzerde from Sonnenerde, a nutrient-rich living soil inspired by ancient Terra Preta. This soil provides an optimal environment for microbial life, ensuring a natural and sustainable nutrient cycle that should help the plants reach their full potential.
Week 1 - Vegetative Growth:
The seedling has emerged and is showing its first true leaves. Despite being in partial shade, it looks healthy and is slightly stretching toward the light. The rich Schwarzerde is providing enough nutrients, so no additional feeding has been needed yet. Watering has been kept minimal to maintain soil moisture, with only osmosis water being used.
It will be interesting to see how the plant adapts to its position under the Black Muffin in the coming weeks!
The Orange Apricot Glue XL Auto is showing steady growth, with new leaves forming and a stronger structure developing. It is still dealing with the shade from the Black Muffin, but to help it along, I added a small light in the corner of the grow tent. This should give it a bit of extra light and encourage more balanced growth.
The plant remains healthy, with a nice green color and no signs of deficiencies. The living soil continues to provide everything it needs, and I’m sticking to watering with osmosis water only. So far, it’s adapting well, and I’m curious to see how the extra light will impact its growth in the coming weeks.
Week 3 – Flowering Phase:
Now in week three, the Orange Apricot Glue XL Auto has entered the flowering phase. The first white pistils are clearly visible, signaling the development of the buds. It's always exciting to witness this transition, especially with a strain I’m growing for the first time. The plant continues to thrive in the 250-liter living soil bed, receiving only reverse osmosis water, and is still growing in the shadow of the Black Muffin. It’s fascinating to see how it adapts and pushes forward in this space.
Week 4 – Flowering Phase
In week four, it's becoming clear that the Orange Apricot Glue XL Auto isn't getting quite enough light, as some of the growth appears a bit stretched. Despite this, she's still doing well overall. The buds are starting to develop nicely, and although she’s growing in the shadow of the Black Muffin, her resilience is showing. She’s adapting to the conditions and pushing through, proving herself to be a tough plant. With a little more light, I’m sure she’ll start to thrive even more.
Week 5 – Flowering Phase
In week five, the Orange Apricot Glue XL Auto is making great progress. The plant is already developing a lot of trichomes, and the buds are becoming frosty, indicating that the resin production is in full swing. The aroma is getting stronger and more pleasant with each passing day, filling the grow tent with a sweet, citrusy fragrance. Despite the light limitations, she continues to show her potential, and it’s exciting to see her mature and reach her full aromatic potential.
Week 6 – Flowering Phase
In week six, the buds of the Orange Apricot Glue XL Auto are becoming even frostier, as trichomes continue to develop and cover the flowers in a glistening layer. The aroma is now stronger than ever, with that sweet, citrusy scent filling the grow space. Despite the earlier light challenges, the plant is thriving and showing impressive resin production. It's clear that she's on track to deliver some potent, aromatic buds by the end of the grow.
Week 7 – Flowering Phase
In week seven, the Orange Apricot Glue XL Auto is making noticeable progress. The buds are slowly swelling and becoming denser, a sign that the plant is gearing up for its final push. The trichomes continue to coat the buds, making them look even frostier. The citrusy aroma is now more intense, and the plant is starting to show its full potential. It's exciting to see how much she’s grown and developed, and I’m looking forward to the final weeks of this grow!
Week 8 – Orange Apricot Glue XL Auto
Buds are dense, resinous, and rich in citrus-apricot aroma. Despite 12 hours of light, she’s maturing well next to the photoperiod plant. The living soil and Bio-Schwarzerde support strong growth. Trichome production is peaking—harvest is near.
Week 9 – Orange Apricot Glue XL Auto
The final stretch. Buds are fully developed, covered in trichomes, and bursting with citrus and apricot aromas. The resin production is at its peak, and the living soil has done its job. Like her neighbor, she won’t be standing much longer—harvest is just days away.
