Mr_ROCKET Germination went good. I will be using this universal nutrient solution because, judging from NPK values, it should be alright, at least for vegetative stage.

Hi all, for no apparent reason, my plant is growing super small. My TS600 at 30 cm distance should be enough, right? I germinated in Rockwool and now my plant is being top fed for about 12 hours a day (top-fed DWC or Bubbleponics configuration) My roots are white and growing.

This little lady is showing classic signs of overexposure to light. You can tell by the way the edges of the leaves are curling up while the main tip is pointing down—this is a strong indicator that it’s getting a bit too much intensity, which can definitely stunt or slow growth. Your TS600 is a 100W light, and at only 30cm away at full power, it’s likely giving the plant way more light than it needs at this stage. Too much light this early can stress young plants, making them focus more on survival than growth. I’d suggest dimming the light down to about 40% and also raising it to around 60cm from the top of the plant. That should give it a much more comfortable environment, and you’ll likely see it start perking back up within a couple of days. Keep an eye on it, and if the growth takes off again, you’ll know for sure that light stress was the issue!

Mr_ROCKET Plant looks like it is recovering. Flowering should start in a bit as some pistils have appeared. I have modified the feeding time schedule to 5 minutes per day as Im using a rockwool set of 4+4+1 in order to make a bigger rockwool soil and protect the roots and otherwise it would be too wet.

Ive set 5minute schedule topfed DWC to avoid keeping the roots too soggy. My soil is made of 8 rockwool attached together to form a bigger cube and 1 rockwool on top where I placed the initial seed, to protect the roots. What you think? Are roots ok or too small?

Hey growmie I just checked your diary growdiaries.com/diaries/260115-grow-journal-by-mr-rocket for Week 2, those roots look totally fine. In DWC, it can take a minute for things to ramp up, but once those roots fully hit the water and get enough dissolved oxygen, growth usually kicks into high gear. Your 5-minute top-feed cycle sounds good for no, just make sure the rockwool doesn’t stay soaked 24/7. A light drip rhythm helps promote early root stretch. Once the roots really drop, you can usually back off the top feed altogether. Make sure your water temp stays around 18–20°C (64–68°F) and your air stones are giving solid bubble coverage — oxygen makes or breaks early DWC. And keep the EC nice and light early on (around 0.4–0.6), especially if roots are just poking out. She’s looking healthy — you're doing it right. With just a little patience, she’ll start exploding with growth. Hope that helps, shout if you need more.

Mr_ROCKET Plant has completely recovered but roots do not grow more than 2 cm from netpot bottom. It has now entered stretching phase. I have changed my fertilizer to chili one that has lower nitrogen because it was starting to have some Nitrogen burn. After 2 days, it has recovered. Any suggestions are well accepted!

Mr_ROCKET Plant is in full stretching now. I have continued LSTing so to have 4 main colas. I have noticed that RH was too low and I have just bought a humidifier. So far, plant looks nice and healthy:)

My plant looks super healthy, but I was expecting much larger buds. Is the size shown in the pics correct? Increasing PK may help, but I have doubts that can change the results that much. (in wild nature it can grow much more and NPK levels are pretty random). What about Lamp W?

I think your buds look fine. It's hard to assess before it fattens up.. it might still suprprise you. Node spacing looks fine, so it is what the genetics allow and given your environment - light, temp, rh, fertiization etc. bud size is mostly defined by genetics as well as how many mouths the plant must feed per sq ft. If you have a shit ton of colas in a small space, the yield doesn't improve. The buds just get more distributed. This could be good or bad depending on severity. You really don't want massively huge buds. It's an e-peen that is just a higher risk of pathogens/infections. Shoot for a Grams per Square foot (mass per area if not on imperial) to judge how well you did with yield. In ambient co2 with seeds, 50-60g/sq ft is great. Clones of heavy yields can probably shoot for 60-70g/sq ft with ambient co2 conditions. Shoot for 3-4 colas per sq ft and keep it healthy. Good results will happen if genetics allow. increasing PK does not boost yield. this is some nonsense that gets repeated over and over but proper research shows this is not true. As far as pk goes, try to give as much as you can, as with anything else, and when you see toxicity, recognize you've gone over that limit and dial back. If other portions of your fertilizer mix remain the same while doing this, it's the 'max' you can give. The overall formula can impact this due to stimulative and antagonistic relationships between the nutrient molecules... you add more of 1 thing, youmay need more of another... or maybe you need less of one thing to allow another to be more readily available etc etc.. The plant tells you... if it is healthy you are probably providing the building blocks at a suitable rate if it is neither building up to toxic levels nor showing signs of deficiency. Rates of use and provision over time... must balance out.. not "more is better". And all of that has to jive with amount of light provided and your climate... It's a bunch of simple relationships but complicated as a whole. again proper light depends on so many local variables, that no matter what suggestion you get, you must do a little trial and error to maximize it for your garden. The developing length of stem between growth nodes ("internode") is your guide for light intensity. Too lanky? needs more. Too tight? needs less... Start at a good suggestion based on 35-40 DLI target, but then allow the plant to dictate. Not unlike the fertilizer above.. start witha suggestion but adjust based on observation. what "should be" doesn't fucking matter if reality dictates otherwise. Too many things vary between gardens to provide a one-size-fits-all answer more times than not.

Mr_ROCKET In 3-4 days my plant quickly tilted towards purple colours. At the beginning I believed it was a nutrients problems, but everything was looking quite normal, so maybe its just how the plant ripens. I did a 3 days flush with FlashClean and now it looks like it is time to harvest. Trichomes look very white and overall the plant looks super ripe. I don't want to wait anymore time to harvest and try my buds!! I will update you very soon, after drying the buds :)

This is my second time growing this strain. I had almost no problem to grow it, except initial difficulty caused almost by me and definitely not by the seed itself. Plant in fact reacted very well to harsh conditions and recovered quite fast once I solved the issues. I did not expect so much scale weight, given the bad start of my cultivation, so Im very surprised so far. Moreover, this was a very good experiment to prove that fancy cannabis-specific nutrients are no more than a marketing thing. I obtained these results simply using standard universal fertilizers (NPK 3-1-4 for grow and 2-2-2 for bloom), targeting ppm rate around 800 during veg and early flowering, and slowly reducing it to 500 during mid-late bloom, with a flush during very last days.

Mr_ROCKET I have harvested on Monday, one day before targeted harvest date (9 weeks from seed). The buds turned very purple, especially on the top tips at the very last 4 days and this positively surprised me. I am going to give a taste-effect review once buds are dried and cured. Hopefully, if everything went good, it should give a nice balanced effect (which Im looking for), given by a good amount of CBD.
