White Widow Auto - Spring Outdoor Grow (Germany) 2025
ProfDrHugoSlavia Two White Widow Auto seeds dropped overnight into a glass of water. Damp paper towel for another 36 hours or so, then into 1 litre pots on a south-facing windowsill. Both seeds sprouted about 48 hours later on 24 March.
Starting this grow a bit earlier than I would like as I need to harvest by the end of June and want to give them at least 90 days.
Seedlings will be moved in and out when the weather allows to start with.
Plan is to transplant into 11 litre fabric pots outdoors once the seedlings are established.

ProfDrHugoSlavia Pretty happy with the first week. They have mostly been inside on a south-facing windowsill, but moved outside during the day if the temperature in the greenhouse gets high enough then back in overnight. Spraying with water a couple of times a day if the soil dries out. Hoping to transplant into 11 litre (3 gallon) pots next week.

ProfDrHugoSlavia Very low temperatures overnight this week so still moving them in and out of the sun. Transplanted into their final 11 litre (3 gallon) fabric pots on day 13 and buried the stems a little bit. One more week and they should be able to stay outside overnight.

ProfDrHugoSlavia Good growth and warm enough that I could start leaving them outside overnight. Interesting that they looked so different at day 17 - same strain in the same soil with the same light. Just thought it was interesting. We see how they end up.

ProfDrHugoSlavia A couple of good growing days but mostly cloudy and damp this week. Started feeding grow nutrients as if last year is anything to go by we might start to see pre-flowering pretty soon.

ProfDrHugoSlavia Starting to get bigger! Kept them in the greenhouse most of this week so I could feed with nutrients instead of rain water.

ProfDrHugoSlavia Nice hot dry weather with a few heavy thunderstorms that required moving to the greenhouse. Not especially worried about damage from the rain, just want to keep them relatively dry so I can feed nutrients instead of rain water. Very early signs of pre-flowering the last couple of days. Might start bloom nutrients towards the end of next week.

ProfDrHugoSlavia On and off this week. Good growth but not much more in terms of flowering. I’m traveling next week so they’ll be left to themselves. They’re pretty hardy. They’ll be fine. Bloom nutes next week. Probably.

ProfDrHugoSlavia Traveling this week so no real grow update. First signs of flowering before I left so I’m calling this the start of flowering.
Nice pickup from a local dispensary though: Crushed Velvet pre rolls and my first ever disposable vape - hits pretty hard and the convenience factor is huge, just a shame about all the waste when I have to toss it…

ProfDrHugoSlavia Had a friend water the plants while I was away but it seems they lacked nutrients. Started feeding grow and bloom nutes again and pulled the damaged leaves. Already looking a little better after a few days of feeding.
Flowering is definitely happening now. Smell is getting stronger.

ProfDrHugoSlavia Warmer weather means more feeding. Also a few big thunderstorms so got a little flush with rain water. Fan leaves on the taller plant continue to die off, and to a lesser extent on the shorter plant. Hopefully this is simply the plant eating itself as we get closer to harvest but I expect another four weeks or so before they are ready. Will increase the bloom nutrients next week and see how they react.
