Hey everyone! Welcome to my second diary, I will be growing some delicious, hopefully, Pineapple Express. Kindly donated by FastBuds so a big shoutout to them and looking forwards to seeing what their genetics are capable of (p.s in the Newbie of the Month giveaway so wish me luck hopefully I win a few packs of their skittlez! 😋)
Well the seeds were very quick to germinate, again another 100% success rate. I soaked the seeds for 24 hours in a tub of water (under another tub to keep humidity high) and on a heat mat. Timer putting heat every hour for 30 mins to keep the water at a steady 25degrees. When I checked 24 hours later to my suprise the 3 seeds had already cracked and signs of taproots showing. I emptied the water out and put the seeds in a damp paper towel and covered back up for another 24 hours. As you can see I was left with 3 nicely germinated girls ready for their new burst of life!
I planted the girls in 9cm pots to start them off with Canna Terra Pro+ and will be transplanting to 10L pots with a Pro+/Perlite mix. The girls are under a 150W CFL and have been all week few more days under there and I will swap them to the big lights. On day 6 the girls had their first feed of biosys (0.5g/L).
All looking healthy and growth has been good, really looking forward to a grow and hopefully it goes as well as the cookies on my last grow did! Wish me luck guys and please leave your feedback.
So week 2 has gone nice and smoothly, being a second grow I am definitely more relaxed about it and just attending to the girls as and when rather than itching every 2 seconds to check on them.
Not a great deal to report really, slow growth is pretty dull looking forward to the future of the girls. On day 8 they had their first weak nutes, being 0.6ml of Canna Vega and 0.5ml Calmag. One of the girls (the small one) has shown some very early signs of calcium def, its weird this early on but the Calmag has seemed to solve things and new growth is all looking fresh and healthy.
On Day 10 the girls went under the 400W light, it’s time to make these girls grow! The light is around 34 inches away.
On Day 12 the girls had their transplant, to mix things up this time I am using a perlite mix in the final pots, I had a bit of root rot last grow so want to avoid that this time. Using a 1:3 ratio of perlite. They loved their new home and have been growing lovely since. Oddly enough one of the girls has grown at a rapid rate, but we shall see if the other girls manage to catch up later on.
You can see I have some weird leaves going on, there is a main leaf and then a little "thumb" it looks like sticking out the side. Anyways hope you enjoy the update and look forward to seeing the grow accelerate from here on out! Happy toking…
Hey guys, sorry for delay in updating!
The girls had some deficiencies early in the week which turned out to be calcium as upping their dosage has seemed to fix!
The girls have been growing lovely so far and have taken well to the LST!
On day 25 put the girls under the scrog net and have just spent the week continuosly tucking the branches back under the net that keep popping up each day :)
They have a really strong and lovely green colour with minimal deficiences, very slight signs of nute burn on the front one but rolling with it! Defenitely looks more healthy then my first grow and they are loving this scrog net so much! I use pipecleaners tied to the scrog net in some places where the branches aren't quite long enough.
Not alot to report really things just going smoothly!
The girls continue to grow very nicely! All the girls have gone into flowering and I have upgraded to the 600W light now to push these girls and see what we can get from the final harvest 😋 They are still on the vega feed for now whilst they are in the early flower stage.
Not alot to report except the front girl had a very slight amount of nute burn but rolling with it as the other girls are fine and its minimal signs so far! If it gets worse maybe will adjust the feed!
Girls starting to grow really tall now, they have taken to the flowering stage really nicely!
Started the Flores feed on Day 38. Starting high at 3.2 and working my way down after a couple of weeks.
Smells are lovely coming from the tent!
Leaves are looking very dark and healthy.
Girls growing very nicely and huge now especially the back left one she has shot up over the week, waiting for back right to pop, she seems slow! Given a very light defoliation in a few places just to optimise airflow. Canopy isn't perfect but expected from autos and really happy with the number of good potential colas I could have here.
The girls are definetly at slightly different rates of growth but quite happy about that as can just harvest one at a time probably each week for 3 weeks when they finally ready.
Few hot days this week caught me out and the girls got a little hot but adjusted the setup a little and all sorted again! Gave an extra strong dose of biosys to cope with the stress after getting a tad dry and warm! But they bounced back and all sorted now wouldn't even know. Really looking forward to seeing what we get off these girls long run. Sorry for the lack of pictures this week just have been massively busy!
