3 weeks ago I had 60 seeds on a 200 gr bag weed. I let 3 sprout and then got the idea to build a small grow box. The dimensions of the HomeBuildGrowBox 1.0 are 50 x 45 x 80 cm
In the meantime I have ordered 10 autoflower seeds that I will soon put in a tent of 120 x 120 x 180, but we have to wait a while for that to set up this project first.
Yesterday I ordered the promix from Plagron with Pokon Hydrokorrels and Plagron Perlite so I can make a nice airy soil for our ladies. This will be delivered tomorrow.
As can be seen in the photos, I have provided a continuous intake of fresh and purified air and also at the exhaust a small carbon filter has been made from a broken vacuum cleaner that was just new. I am still in doubt whether I should not put a fan in front of the carbon filter so that the air is not only pushed out by the upper pressure in the cabinet. Can someone advise me on this?
The plants had a hard time in the beginning. The leaves were crooked and 1 of the 3 did not survive
I have a question about the LED lamp I am using. Led is new to me and previously I calculated via the wattages of the lamp but is that the same for LED? If so, the lamp I am currently using is full spectrum but is only 17 watts, can this be correct? 😐
Hey there I’m sure that light is probably fine for a seedling maybe for the 1st week or 2
I suggest you look into spider farmer or mars hydro or medicgrow for a legit light
I use a 100w spider farmer for seedlings and a medicgrow mini sun2 500w for my 2x4 tent
You can get away with 100w per 2x2 area when flowering bud the buds will be airy
If you want to grow buds equal to what you buy at a dispensary you need about 200 to 250w of led per 2x2 area
So a 200w for 2x2
400w for 2x4
800w for 4x4
1000w for 5x5

After repotting, there is still 1 female very weak. 😥 I keep the moisture percentage high and hope she will get through it. I currently have no root stimulator or plantfood in the house. Does anyone know what I can give her to give her a boost.🙏
How deep is that container? Don't keep moisture % high, plants are drooping meaning they are having a hard time releasing water from leafs, raising rh will lower transpiration. In order to put more moisture in the air it helps if there is space to do so lower rh , slightly warmer temps will promote transpiration and evaporation which you will need to assist with the plastic tub that you will be retaining moisture too long with high humidity levels.
is there even proper drainage in that thing? 😆
Hey there it looks like a combination of stunted growth from over water at some time and light stress
The plants are at the phase where they are hardening off to get used to stronger light. The one plant is probably more sensitive to over watering and light also it could be some of the humidity being to low or to high.
Make sure not to have your humidity above 70% this can cause the humidity to sit on the leaves surface and block the stigmata’s from breathing
These are the seeds I have left. They were feminized plants so it was very strange that there were seeds in them. But this has given me the feeling to do something about paying expensively every time.
Until 10 years ago I always grew for myself. Also bigger grows but mainly for my own use. Why until about 10 years ago? I am a soldier who is disabled because of PTSD. I have been in clinics for the past 10 to 12 years. This has paid off and now my life is so stable again that I can and may keep myself busy with growing weed for ourselves my biggest hobby ever
Dear fellow cannabis growers,
As you can see the ladies are doing verry well. Today they were repotted into a homemade air pot which is firstly much lower than the other one (so about 8cm more to grow) and both ladies were moved further apart because they started to fight over who got to stand in the sun.
On the bottom of the self-made airpot I placed the hydro grains (after rinsing them with warm lukewarm water). Then I also rinsed the perlite with warm lukewarm water. I mixed the remaining hydro grains (25%), the perlite (25%) and the soil from Plagron (Promix) (50%) well. Then I put the mixed soil on top of the layer of hydro grains (5cm).
Now it's time to put the ladies with their feet in other soil. This will be a bit of a shock for the ladies but they will definitely recover. Ensure high humidity the coming days and put a little more love in it than I already do. No, they don't lack anything with us :)
Next weekend we can buy food for the plants. The Plagron Alga Grow, the Plagron Alga Bloom and Plagron Green Sensation.

@Baryon23KoekNL, definitly Worth it . With the right love for the plants because of the same Medium. You can easily fill up a 80x80 tent with 2 automatics
@GERGrowDesigns, Thank you :) We do our best to make it as pleasant as possible for the ladies so that they will do so when they are ready to smoke It's been about 10 to 12 years since I was able to grow plants but the feeling never went away. The most beautiful hobby I've ever had. And now I can do this beautiful hobby again and enjoy it immensely :) I am curious about your twins in the tent I will definitely watch it. Today I received the soil from plagrond promix together with the hydro grains and the perlite.
Tomorrow the seeds from Fast Buds will arrive. 10 pieces mix pack.

Today the ladies are doing very well again. They look very happy and satisfied. I just find them a bit light in green color. The temperature and humidity are fine :)
Normally the Plagron Promix, Plagron euro Pebbles and Plagron Perlite would arrive today but there is a delay in the mail delivery so now they have to wait until Tuesday because that is the first delivery day again :(
Today I found out that the LED lamp in the homemade grow box is only 17 watts which is of course far too little to grow thick buds. It is strange because it is an LED lamp that is intended for growth and flowering there is a switch for that.
My question is should I just try it and see what it does or should I buy an LED lamp with more wattage and more and better LEDs in a week or 2 (because then there will be money for this project again)
I hope that fellow growers can give me good tips and tools so that these ladies can develop into thick, beautiful buds that I love so much
Well, it was quite a day.
The ladies are sleeping soundly. They were just falling asleep when I used that I had not wished them goodnight so I quickly went to the room where they were sleeping and opened the door. Goodnight dear girls sleep well and see you tomorrow. Of course I didn't look too long because then they would wake up :)
