RRuffin Hello Grower, unfortunately, I don't have a picture of the germination, but I can say a bit more about the grow. I'm pretty new here, so this is basically my first grow. I put the seeds in a small box filled with water. I let the seeds sit there for 24 hours and then planted them about 1 cm deep in 5-gallon pots. This is what the 2 plants looked like after about a week. Questions/Problems: • Nothing ✅

RRuffin Hello Grower, I also forgot to take photos in the 2nd week, as I'm pretty new to this site. The 1st plant has grown quite tall, which is why I topped it. I left the 2nd plant as it is since it's not as tall as the 1st. The 1st plant drank about 2.25L when watering until there was a slight drain at the bottom. I gave the 2nd plant about 1.75 liters until there was drain. I will take more photos on Sunday, April 13, 2025. Questions/Problems: • I noticed that the tips are quite dark green compared to the rest of the leaf. You can possibly see this in the picture with the 1st plant.

RRuffin Hello Grower, the week was okay. The ladies drank 2 liters. I watered when the soil was no longer so moist, which took three days. The plant is now growing wider, which is annoying in the somewhat smaller tent. But that shouldn't be a big problem. Questions/Problems: • The first plant is getting yellow tips on the new leaves and unfortunately, I don't know what that means. • Another problem with the first plant is that the older leaves are dark green at the tips and droop. • The third problem is that the first plant is not as tall and wide compared to the second one. I think the pictures show it very well.

You're clearly observing closely—respect for the attention to detail. The yellow tips on the newer leaves point to slight overfeeding, likely nitrogen, but nothing critical. The darker, droopier lower leaves could be from that too, or simply because they’re not getting much light—shading in dense autos is common. Tucking or selectively removing lower fan leaves can help airflow and focus energy where it’s needed. Structurally, your decision to top the taller plant made sense—and interestingly, it still pushed ahead. That just confirms it’s a more vigorous, likely sativa-leaning phenotype. The other plant seems more compact, possibly indica-heavy, which explains the size difference despite same conditions. Some late LST on the topped branches could still help open up the canopy, though don’t go too hard—she’s entering early flower now, and autos don’t like too much late stress. And yes, during this phase autos naturally start pulling resources to fuel flower growth, so some leaf changes and minor fluctuations are totally normal. Bottom line: your plants look healthy, you're making solid calls, and you're reading the situation well. Keep it up—no major concerns here. At least in my opinion 😜

RRuffin Hello Grower, last week was like this time. A very relaxed week with the two ladies. I had to top the second plant in several places because it has grown quite tall compared to the first one. I will probably top the first plant as well next week. Both are in good condition. I think the Living Soil is doing a great job. At the beginning of the week, I was still watering with drainage, but then I read several times in forums that with Living Soil, there shouldn't be any drainage because it washes out the microorganisms. For this reason, I'm currently only watering both with about one to one and a half liters per plant. Questions/Problems: • Nothing ✅

RRuffin Hello Grower, my plants are really making a big push. The 2nd plant has also grown quite tall now and is almost at the level of the 1st. Down below, they are spreading out quite a bit, but I don't think that's a problem. I might top the 2nd plant a bit this week and defoliate both a little at the bottom, but we'll see. Questions/Problems: • Actually nothing, but I notice that the tent is getting quite small for the ladies. 😬

RRuffin Hey Grower, Oh man, the two ladies are getting pretty tall now, the tent is almost too small. I still haven't used any nutrients. The Living Soil is really great. My second plant seems to be longing for the light, I've noticed that. The light is hanging close, but that's not a problem. After all, it's just a 60-watt light. And when I hold my hand underneath, it's not uncomfortable at all. A little defoliation was done at the bottom, but not much else has happened. The first plant is already developing good buds, unlike the second one. There are still a lot of trichomes visible there. Questions/Problems: • I think the proximity of the light doesn't make that much of a difference for the little one, right? Hehe? Everything else is great! ✅

RRuffin Hello Grower, Absolutely cool the 1st plant, it almost looks like it could be harvested. The 2nd plant definitely doesn’t look like it can keep up with the winner haha. In the macro shots, I can even see some amber trichomes already. The 2nd plant definitely needs to grow a bit more. Otherwise, both ladies look top-notch, no issues with the leaves or anywhere else, just beautiful. I can't rave enough about the Living Soil. Questions/Problems: • The tips of the 2nd plant look slightly burnt and are getting spots. New update (Week 8 Day 3): • I gave the lady 3ml/L x1 BioBizz Top-Max yesterday, and the problem with the tips on the 2nd plant is even worse than it was 3 days ago. But the issue was already there before, so I think it’s probably not due to the Top-Max.

RRuffin Hello Grower, The two plants actually look pretty good, aside from a few minor issues. The second plant should finally start pushing its buds. The buds on the first plant look good but are still quite small. Questions/Problems: • Is it normal for the plants to still look the same in week 9, especially the second one? • The first plant has a few issues on top and one leaf at the bottom is dried out. • I see that the second plant has yellowish-green leaves.

RRuffin Hello Grower, The plants look good, except for the leaves of the first one. I read that the Living Soil was pre-fertilized with microorganisms for only eight to ten weeks. I will soon mix "worm humus" into the soil. This will revive the micro-life in it. In week 10, I still find the buds on the second plant too small. Questions/Problems: • Is it normal for the leaves of the second plant to look like that? Wouldn't the development of the buds on the second plant normally be further along by week 10?

RRuffin Hello Grower, both plants still look good, but the first plant has a few leaves that look strange. I think the second plant is still too underdeveloped for week 11. I'm not exactly sure how much longer this will take. The trichomes on the first plant are already quite milky. I guess it won't be long until they're ready. The buds on the second plant still look pretty small though. Questions/Problems: • Quite underdeveloped buds on the 2nd plant (front) • Leaves of the 1st plant look pretty strange (back)

I think my plant in the front still has pretty immature buds in week 11. The two plants in the tent were planted at the same time. I planted both in the Living-Soil soil and added worm casting and dolomite lime a few days ago. More info in my diary.

Yeah, it looks like that, it's all about the genetics; some ripen faster while others take longer even though it's the same strain. The one in the last picture looks pretty ripe, and I think you can harvest it soon; almost all the trichomes look milky, and that's where it has the most THC. The other one in the first pictures definitely needs another 2 weeks, just from the feel of it, but both look really great.

I have 2 plants in the tent and one of the plants is showing quite a few deficiencies. Many leaves are now yellow with brown spots. The other plant doesn't have these deficiencies, both were watered the same, etc. A few days ago, I used dolomite lime and worm castings.

luckily you are near the end, so not much matters and they'll finish fine. the progression helps diagnose. looking at severe issues after the fact is less helpful. ph-lockout, nute lockout, simply the wrong concentration of a particular nute fed... symptoms are not discrete. Something impacting K or physically low K available would be my guess. But again, at this stage, i wouldn't react too strongly.. maybe try increasing K slightly without impacting levels of other nutes provided and see if the damage slows... if it continues or gets worse, less likely realted to k. not all plants are the same, but "better" formulas will work on a wider variety of plants.

RRuffin Hello Grower, both plants are still in good condition except that the one is bending over because it's too heavy. The leaves are slowly dying off, and the energy is being put into the growth and development of the buds. I think I will harvest the first plant soon, either this week or next week. My problems from last week have also been resolved, thanks again for that. Questions/Problems: • Nothing ✅

RRuffin Hello Grower, both plants still look good. I have now cut down the first plant (the one in the back) and it's currently drying. It won't be much of a yield, and I might have taken it down too early, but we'll see. I've only left a few small buds in the hope that they will grow bigger or mature. I won't mark this project as "Finished" just yet. Questions/Problems: • None ✅

RRuffin The first plant really had hardly any weight from the buds, but the second plant had huge buds and therefore a lot of weight.

Decent stretch 😅 Maybe just harvest in two to three levels later?

RRuffin commented1y ago
@therealgrowmie, According to FastBuds, the plant should grow to 100-150cm tall. I think that's still within a reasonable range, but it's worth considering. I'll keep an eye on how it develops. 😬😁
