H4nfd4mpf 🌱 Grow Diary – Introduction & Start 🌱 Hey everyone, today marks the start of my first grow diary – I'm super excited about the journey and I appreciate everyone who reads along or leaves feedback! 🙌 Please overlook any mistakes or gaps – over time, this will definitely become a bit smoother and more structured. 😊 The Plants I took over the two ladies after about four weeks of pre-cultivation from Hanfgarten. Both arrived in top condition – vibrant, well-rooted, and ready for the next step. 📸 In the picture, you can see them around the 5th week of the veg phase. The lighting is currently set to 16 hours daily. H4nfd4mpf 🌿 Week 6 – Second week with me 🌿 Hey everyone, we're now in week 6 of the veg phase – the second week in my setup. The two ladies have settled in well and are clearly comfortable in their veg box. In the last few days, they've made some solid growth and look healthy and vibrant. 💪🌱 The stretch is slowly starting to show – both are pretty much on the verge of transitioning into the flowering phase. H4nfd4mpf 🌸 Week 7 – Introduction of the Flowering Phase 🌸 Hey everyone, this week we took the next big step: Both ladies have moved into the flowering box – from now on, the light cycle is set to 12/12. 🌗 Unfortunately, there was a little setback during the transfer: One of the side branches on the Big Bud got bent due to an unfortunate coughing fit on my part 😅. I reacted immediately and provided first aid – the break was stabilized with wire and additionally wrapped with tape to protect it from dirt (kind of like a band-aid for us humans). Let's hope it recovers well. 🤞 Also, both plants were thinned out (defoliated) during this phase to allow better light and air to reach the lower branches. I would say something like: Keep your fingers crossed for me that everything works out! – but to be honest, I'm already a step ahead. 😄 The next update will come right after this. H4nfd4mpf 🌼 Week 8 – Everything in Pre-Flower 🌼 Hey everyone, we've reached the current week – from now on, my updates will be regular on the weekends (Saturday or Sunday), on a weekly basis. 📅 Straight to the first change: I swapped the positions of the plants in the flowering box – from now on, the Big Bud is on the right and the Tropicanna Banana is on the left. And look at that: The Big Bud has actually handled the break well – it’s growing and thriving as if nothing happened. 💪🌿 Really impressive how resilient this lady is! Both plants were defoliated again this week to further optimize light distribution. Everything is set for pre-flowering, but the two ladies are taking their time with it – but that’s just how they are, the ladies. 😄 Until the next update – Grow on & stay green! ✌️🌱

H4nfd4mpf 🌱 Week 9 Growth Phase: Transition to Pre-Flowering Age of Plants: 8 weeks Light Cycle: 12/12 Temperature / Humidity: approx. 20–21 °C / approx. 48 % RH Watering / Nutrients: Regular watering with growth fertilizer + first addition of bloom fertilizer 🌿 Development Status: The tie from the Big Bud was removed mid-week – the break point has fully healed Tropicanna Banana is already showing pre-flowering on almost all shoots (pistils visible) Banana was lightly tied down and to the side for better light distribution Big Bud shows no signs of pre-flowering yet Light defoliation has been continued 🚧 Issues / Measures: No acute problems Stems are slightly reddish – likely a residual effect of earlier cooler temperatures → will be monitored further 📊 General Impression: Both plants look healthy and vigorous. Tropicanna Banana is a step ahead and shows clear signs of pre-flowering. Big Bud is taking a bit more time, but the overall impression is stable. H4nfd4mpf 🌱 Week 10 After the successful transition into the flowering phase, both plants are continuing to grow steadily. This week was all about uninterrupted growth, targeted defoliation, and minor adjustments in the setup. Here’s the current status: Phase: Flowering Phase Age of Plants: 9 weeks Light Cycle: 12/12 Temperature / Humidity: approx. 20–21 °C / 45 %–50 % RH Watering / Nutrients: Increased watering with additional flowering nutrients 🌿 Development Status: Plants were allowed to grow undisturbed throughout the week. Today, both plants were specifically defoliated. Big Bud is currently a bit larger compared to Tropicanna Banana, but both plants are strong and stable. Both are clearly in the flowering phase. Light source was increased to 75 % power and lamp height adjusted. 🚧 Issues / Measures: A lower branch on the Tropicanna Banana was accidentally broken off, so plant ties are now being used as a precaution. Mildew traces were discovered on two leaves of the Tropicanna Banana. These leaves were promptly removed and disposed of. Humidity was around 70 % during the dark phase, which likely favored the development of mildew. Fan speed was adjusted, and after the correction, the RH stabilized at about 50 %, further observation is ongoing. 📊 General Impression: Despite minor setbacks (broken branch and mildew traces), both plants are in good condition. The flower sites are steadily developing, and the measures for humidity control are working well. H4nfd4mpf 🌱 Week 11 The eleventh week brings visible progress in the flowering development of both plants. At the same time, controlling humidity and combating powdery mildew remain the focus. Additionally, the fertilizer has been switched to make the plants overall more resilient. Phase: Flowering phase Age of plants: 10 weeks Light cycle: 12/12 Temperature / Humidity: approx. 22–23 °C / 50 %–65 % RH Watering / Nutrients: Increased watering, switched from mineral fertilizer to HESI 🌿 Development status: Both plants have clearly started bud production Tropicanna Banana has caught up well in terms of growth but is still slightly shorter than Big Bud Light defoliation occurred, otherwise both plants were able to grow largely undisturbed this week 🚧 Issues / Actions: Individual powdery mildew spots were discovered on the Tropicanna Banana → Affected leaves were removed or specifically treated with neem oil The cause is likely the high nighttime humidity combined with low temperatures Fan performance and temperature control have been adjusted accordingly Additionally, the fertilizer was switched to HESI to strengthen the plants' resilience through a more balanced supply 📊 General impression: Even though powdery mildew remains a recurring issue, both plants continue to show stability and vitality. The bud development is visibly starting, and the tropical notes of the Tropicanna Banana are beginning to unfold slowly. H4nfd4mpf H4nfd4mpf 🌱 Week 12 The twelfth week is all about the battle against powdery mildew. Despite progress made with the use of Hesi nutrients and targeted countermeasures, the problem persists. A dehumidifier has been integrated to lower the humidity to an optimal level. Phase: Flowering phase Age of plants: 11 weeks Light cycle: 12/12 (Light 100%) Temperature / Humidity: approx. 21–23 °C / 50%–60% humidity Watering / Nutrients: Increased watering, continuing with HESI nutrients 🌿 Development status: Both plants are still in the flowering development Despite a good basic structure, many leaves had to be removed this week The effect of the new fertilizer shows initial improvements in the overall condition of the plants 🚧 Problems / Measures: Powdery mildew continues to occur → Heavy defoliation to contain the spread → Additionally, a dehumidifier has been installed to keep the humidity consistently below 45% 📊 General impression: Powdery mildew is currently the central issue, even though the plants remain overall vigorous. The buds are still developing, although a bit slower due to the stress. The Hesi fertilization seems to have a positive effect. 🔜 Next step: → Further reduce humidity and keep it consistently low → Continue to actively combat powdery mildew → Monitor the development of the buds and promote them selectively Grow on & stay green! ✌️

H4nfd4mpf 🌱Week 13 Phase: Flowering Phase Age of Plants: 12 weeks Light Cycle: 12/12 (Light 100%) Temperature / RH: approx. 22–24 °C / below 45% Watering / Nutrients: Increased watering, continuing to use HESI nutrients 📖 Foreword The battle against powdery mildew continues. Where the disease originated is ultimately secondary; what matters is that it apparently isn't spreading further. The RH is now consistently kept below 45%, even at night. Finally, an electric dehumidifier has been put to use, possibly a bit too late. Many (way too many) leaves had to be removed. Now it's time to observe how well the plant copes with this stress and where it really stands in terms of development. I currently expect an extended flowering phase of up to two weeks. 🌿 Development Status The plant still appears vital, but clearly marked by the intervention. The spread of the powdery mildew seems at least to be stopped. Despite all setbacks, it continues to develop buds; how good the quality will be in the end remains to be seen. 🚧 Problems / Measures Powdery mildew still present Severe defoliation to contain it Electric dehumidifier installed for constant RH control 📊 General Impression Powdery mildew remains the central issue. Climate and nutrient conditions are now stable. The further course depends on whether the fungal pressure can really be contained permanently and how the plant reacts to the stress factors. H4nfd4mpf 🌱 Week 14 Phase: Flowering Phase Age of the plants: 13 weeks Light cycle: 12/12 Temperature / RH: approx. 23–26 °C / below 45 % Watering / Nutrients: Increased watering, still using HESI nutrients 📖 Foreword I deliberately waited a bit with the grow report to see how the ladies develop. This week I might have found the game changer: The mysterious white stuff in the spray bottle is milk! I've been trying to spray the plants with it for two days. Tomorrow the current report will follow, and from then on it will continue weekly. 🌿 Development Status At the end of flowering, they seem a bit affected; powdery mildew and the resulting defoliation have taken their toll. The ladies are a bit behind because of this. 🚧 Problems / Measures Powdery mildew seems to be under control but will continue to be monitored. Treatment is done with a water-milk solution. 📊 General Impression Probably a bit worse than hoped, but still usable, I think. 🔜 Next Step Watch for milky trichomes Choose the timing for flushing Grow on & stay green! ✌️

H4nfd4mpf 🌱 Week 15 Phase: Flowering Phase Age of Plants: 14 weeks Light Cycle: 12/12 Temperature / Humidity: approx. 23–26 °C / under 45 % Watering / Nutrients: Increased watering, still using HESI nutrients 📖 Foreword The critical final phase has begun. Hope dies last, so keep at it, even if motivation is a bit low. 🌿 Development Status One or two weeks before harvest, the final stretch. The plants are at their limit, now it will be decided if the effort was worth it. 🚧 Problems / Measures The powdery mildew is stubborn and will likely remain a topic until the bitter end. Treatment is ongoing: Immediate response with a milk mixture and using a dehumidifier to slow the spread. 📊 General Impression A mixed grow with a lot of frustration potential. Despite everything: There is still hope for an acceptable result, even if it's below expectations. 🔜 Next Step Keep an eye on the trichomes, focus on milky heads. H4nfd4mpf 🌱 Grow Final Report Phase: Forced Termination 📖 Foreword Sometimes things don't go as planned, and unfortunately, this grow is one of those cases. 🚧 Problems / Measures Severe powdery mildew infestation during the flowering phase Several attempts to contain it Unfortunately, without significant success 📊 General Impression A tough setback not due to lack of care, but because of bad luck with the conditions. Overall, the grow was a failure, but that's part of the experience. Error analysis and learnings will be carried over to the next round. 🔜 Next Step Restart after a thorough cleaning and disinfection of the grow area.
