wk2 complete. Gelato is smaller than the rest. The seed wouldnt open, i split it with a razor carefully & its survived, but shes a couple days behind in growth in comparison. I transfered on day 14 to 3 gallon cloth containers. so far everything going well. i built a 2+ gallon container w/ a small fountain pump, to make a powered watering hose, so I can reach the rear plants easier.
had a busy week, thought I did a week 3 update already, and deleted the pics already :( . I transfered from solo cups to 3gal cloth containers last day of week 2. late in the week, i began LST making my 1st bends on the plants main stalks. Im adding week 4 details and pics now, so just bump forward a week :D
Ending week 4, continued LST on main stalk, and side branches. Every 2-3 days I move or add more to each bend. It takes about that for the bends to really hold permenantly. photos are showing off close ups. Im using a light green rubber coated garden ties. Theyre soft and I just cut them long & push them deep into the soil.
week 6 has passed, on week 7 now. Last day of week 6 (day 42) I was able to sex 8 of 9 plants. ive got 4 females, 4 were male, and Gelato is a week behind everyone else, so Ill continue to check for pistils or crab claws next week. my LST has them spread out more vs last time, and probably 3 - 4" shorter which is great for my closet with a low ceiling. three GG4 females, and 1 GSC female
Halfway through week 7, but havnt been on to dp updates, so doing what I can now. from 8 plants, I have 4 females & waiting for the one Gelato to show sex. Gelato has always been a week behind in growth. So 4, maybe 5 females from 8 seeds. 1st pistils just barely through. once I had them sexed (last day of wk6) i increased my red/flowering intensity, and changed to 12/12. I also raised my lights to the highest positions to avoid excess light burn, due to the low ceiling of my closet, trying my best to keep them 18"+ from my tops. pics will get better next week as pistils should start popping quickly.
only half way thru week 8, but Im going be too busy to update this over the weekend. unfortunately, the Gelato turned male, so Ive got 4 females (from orginally 8) three GG4, & one GSC. pistils are poppin everywhere, but as the true 1st week of flowering, nothing too fun to see. so far leaves look great, no ph imbalance issues like last grow.
geeze these are some tall ladies. 2 didnt take well to my LST strategy, and are crazy tall for a closet grow. hopefully they just keep budding and dont get any taller. they look great. doing a proper ph balance to my nute/water feed is all the difference. Adding very little PH up, and Im having zero nute defficiency/issues. leaves are green and flat to the tips, looking gorgeous. Im very excited as my ph issue has plagued me on all my previous grows, causing stress & hermies. everything looks beautiful right now.
way behind on update.. as of writing this im on week 12.. week 10 / 11 went great. Leaves are green, no signs of trouble, and buds growing thick & fat. my only issue is I wish I had done a better LST. Im going back to string tie downs, the rubber coated ties wernt strong enough, and the plant pushed thru the hold downs. so im taller & closer to my lights than previous grows, but it looks like we should be okay. ill try to have new pics for week 12

flush week! plants looking beautiful. Ill continue to flush for another 4-5 days, harvest mid next week. buds are so heavy, had to do some major tie ups to keep them upright for these last few days.
