Is it good for the plants if I put them directly in a 50 litre pot or should I bring them in step by step means, first in a 20 litre pot, then in a 30 litre pot and at the end in a 50 litre pot?

I have heard growers start in small pots because they begin their germination and seedling process indoors due to cold weather in their region or for light deprivation techniques. I prefer to grow outdoors and have noticed that my plants will grow faster and bigger when i start them directly in a 40 to 55 liter pot.
