KanOrganics I transplanted it into a 3 gallon fabric pot this week. This is a regular seed, so it could end up being a male. I delete male diaries unless I'm breeding, and this one I'm not, so don't be surprised if this diary vanishes. :)

KanOrganics I really like my new custom soil recipe. One of these days I'll make it public. Needs more testing, but the size and health after less than 1 month from seed is pretty great (along with about 20 other plants using this mix).

KanOrganics Still no clear signs of sex, but probably female given the age. Looking great so far.

KanOrganics I didn't do much this week, just watered her a couple times. I'm pretty sure it's a girl now, too. I won't have any room to flower her for another week or two, though.

KanOrganics She's finally showing signs of being a girl. We won't have room to flower her for another couple of weeks, though.

KanOrganics This thing is a beast for a 3gal. It's getting a bit of heat damage, but I think we'll be fine. Nothing I can manage any better, anyway.

KanOrganics She's still chugging along. We have about 2 1/2 more weeks before we have room in the flower tent, so we're getting there.
This decently long vegetation time will help me test my custom soil recipe to see how much is available come late bloom.

KanOrganics I didn't do much this week except some light defoliation of undergrowth.
She's only in a 3-gallon pot, and she's enormous.
Considering I don't have room to flower her because she is more than 4 feet tall already in veg, I'm left with two options:
1) Top a bunch off of her and and wait a couple weeks for space in my flower tent to clear up.
2) Transplant her outdoors.
I'm still thinking about what to do. It depends how close to done one of my flowering plants are come next week, I suppose.
I'm very impressed with my new soil recipe. This plant has received nothing except tap water, not even pH'd, as the microbiota take care of that for me. No leaf discoloration anywhere. No problems at all for 11 weeks. Not bad for keeping it simple.

KanOrganics This is now an outdoor diary.
I transplanted her into an 18-gallon bin a week ago, with a light mix of peat, perlite, and mushroom compost. I did absolutely nothing to her all week, and let the rain take care of watering her.

KanOrganics Did a little lollipopping but not much. Wanted to get some airflow and not have to worry about so much popcorn in a month or so when flowering begins. I'll definitely do another defoliation after the stretch, but this was mainly to work against powdery mildew for now.
She's been outside for two weeks, and looks incredibly healthy without acclimating her, despite the intense humidity and heat coupled with lots of rain on the off days. So far I'm happy with how she's handling the outdoors. I'd even go as far to say it's one of the most resilient to our awful weather that I've grown over the last 21 years.

KanOrganics I didn't do anything to it this week, and she looks incredibly healthy. It's nice to see such beautifully green leaves on an outdoor crop without any IPM or fertilization.

KanOrganics It's pouring at the end of week 16, but I took one for the team with my camera :)
Not much to report this week other than she seems to be really growing now with no problems.
I'll start adding support to her branches in the coming week, to protect against high winds that usually accompany late summer in my climate.
I may also top her, in an effort to limit her height and even out the canopy for the approaching bloom period.
