Mephisto-Aunt Ginny's Elixir (Encore)

renbuds 4/23-Added 30 ml of tap water 4/25-Mixed up first batch of Canna Coco A&B at 1ml per liter. Pot is still pretty moist so I'll hold for another day before giving her some water w nutes. I'm keeping the tent at 75 degrees and 80% humidity which should get a VPD of about 0.60 which is about where I want to be the first couple of weeks. 4/28-First week went well although I'm a little concerned that the seedling has not developed at least another set of leaves.

renbuds 4/29-Did a gentle water to runoff with slightly higher mix of nutes that includes Rhizotonic and Cannazym. Hoping to see a bit more development this week. 5/1-Looks like she's starting to get going now. Nice and green and 2nd set of leaves coming in. 5/5-She's really growing nicely now. Transplanted into big tent autopot.

renbuds 5/6-No visbile adverse effects from transplant so far. PPfd at 421 (mostly blue spectrum). Autopot on. AirDome on. AI+ controller set to .08-1.2 VPD for veg stage. Reservoir recirculate pump 15 mins once an hour. This will be the first time I've had all the new AC Infinity tools working from the get go. Excited to see how this grow works out. 5/8-Looks like slight calmag deficiency so I'm hitting it with foliar spray. Added a bit more Cal Mag to the reservoir. 5/10-Started some LST. Still have some slight discoloration on the leaves. 5/12-Can't get rid of yellow 'marbling' on the leaves. Added some nitrogen urea to substrate. Been foliar spraying with CalMag. Plant looks healthy otherwise. I also turned off the autopots for a couple of days and watered manually to make sure that when I do turn on the autopots again that the roots are well developed.

renbuds 5/13-Still have the slight yellowish tint on the leaves although they seem healthy other wise. I'm continuing the CalMag foliar spraying. This grow is definitely not going as fast or as strong as the last Aunt Ginny. Seems like about a week behind in development. I'm hoping we can get back on track this week. 5/19-Did some defoliating last night and cut the big yellowish fan leaves. This morning I'm seeing the first signs of real green leaves again so hopefully she's moving on. Still feels about a week behind previous AGE grow. Autopot and Airbase are on now and are working nicely. So this one is pretty much on autopilot now for next week or two with the AC AI+ controller targeting 1.0-1.2 VPD.

renbuds 5/21-Cut some fan leaves to expose lower branches. Tied down some lower branches to get some separation before stretch. 5/24-Progressing nicely. Autopots and airbase are working properly. Just waiting for these 2 to start their stretch and preflower.

renbuds 5/28-Starting to stretch a bit. Looks like she might be getting ready for preflower in the next couple of days. 6/2-Definitely starting to stretch now. Up to 9 inches now. I'm switching to flower nutes now to help with transition.

renbuds 6/5-First signs of preflower. This one has been a slow starter but she's starting to stretch. 6/7-She is really starting to pop now after a very slow start. Added some Advanced Nutrients in with the Canna now that bloom period has started. 5.8 Ph and EC 1.60 . We'll see how they play together. 6/9-Up to 14.5 inches now. Bud sites are getting real now. I've adjusted VPD target range to 1.1-1.3. AC AI+ controller is keeping it dialed in. Trimmed some of the bud sites down low and in the middle to focus growth up top.

renbuds 6/11-Really stretching now. Up to 17 inches. Bud sites are developing nicely. Added supplemental lights under the canopy to see if I can make sure we've got decent bud quality as far through the plant as possible. 6/13-Grew another 2 inches to 19 inches tall. Buds are starting to develop. Got her all trimmed up for the final 4-5 weeks. Did some light LST pulling brances wider with support. Upped the VPD target to 1.2 to 1.4 Kpa. Autopots and AI+ controller working great. Refilled the reservoir. 6/16-8 Weeks done now and she is shaping up nicely for the stretch run. Buds are starting to shape up and stack up. Color of the plant is good. She's sucking up the water and nutes now. I think we are getting near the end of the stretch now at 20 inches. I'm going to let her go for the next 4 weeks and see how those buds fatten up.

renbuds 6/23-Plant is still very yellow in color. Not sure what it is as its growing sided by side with another AGE where the color is deep green. Starting to get some amber pistils now and first traces of some trichomes. Bud are starting to fill in but are still very small and not very dense. I think she's got another 3 weeks to go at least .

renbuds Week 9

renbuds 7/4-Got back after a week away and things progressed nicely while I was gone. All the AC Infinity worked great to control temp, humidity, and VPD. The autopots worked like a charm delivering water as needed. This one is still very yellowish by comparison to my other AGE(10 days younger) in the same tent, with same feed. Buds are starting to get sticky and smelly, pistils are turning amber, and buds are starting to get a bit more dense. I think she's still got another couple of weeks to harvest. 7/5-Trichomes are getting cloudy and a bit amber. I'll check again in a couple of days. Added some AN Overdrive into the mix. 7/7-Decided to harvest her today. This plant had issues from the get go and never fully recovered. Not surprisingly the wet weight yield was the lowest I've ever had with a Mephisto Genetics seed. But, this plant will provide some interesting lessons I think. Because I grew another seed from the same batch (albeit 10 days later) I've got a chance to contrast the differences. To start, I used a different brand of nutes this time, Canna instead of Advanced Nutrients. I also used the Autopot airdome this time from the start. I did not Top or Fim this plant. For some reason each plant had and entirely different reaction. This AGE started yellow in color and the stems were reddish and stayed that way the whole time while the other AGE was healthy green. It took nearly 6 weeks before it started to flower. This plant did not produce alot of trichomes on the leaves but the buds were relatively sticky once cut from the stems. In the end, I can get over all of that if the quality is good. The plant is in the Dry/Cure box for the next 8 days.
