Susquihanna Day 1: I used the paper towel method to sprout my little strawberry banana seed.
Day 3 I opened it up and took a video of myself and the little seedling. Planted seeding and now we sit and wait for nature to nurture to do its thing.
So excited to document this grow from the beginning and to actually enter my first grow diary contest.
I have not given Strawberry Banana any nutrients at this point
Susquihanna It was just a really hot week this week and this was a challenge for a little baby plant. I needed to protect my little baby so I tucked her under my FB 2025 plant. The video I took will show you exactly how I let the big girls take care of the little baby. LOL
One of my leaves has a hole in it. Not really sure how that happened but I am sure my Strawberry Banana will continue to thrive.
It grew a lot this week- 1.5 inches. I did not use any nutrients this week, just water. Just letting nature do its thing.
Hope you enjoy my pictures!! and my video!!
Have a great day:)
Susquihanna This week I transplanted my little Strawberry Banana girl to a Big Girl Bed-LOL. Seriously though, I transplanted her to a large garden bed as opposed to 5 gallon pots like I usually do. I wanted to give this plant all the room she need to grow her very best. I'm curious to see if having a larger grow area will produce a larger plant. I am thinking more room for the roots to expand.
My plant did not grow very much in height but the width of the leaves did grow.
Weather has been very nice here this week.

Susquihanna After so much tender loving care, I came home today to find how two puppies kept themselves busy while I was attending my daughter's graduation!! Evidently, Thelma and Louise had a blast digging a hole and uprooting my baby Strawberry Banana plant. But do not fret, for Susquihanna doesn't like to lose. So I put my Strawberry Banana back in place, filled in the hole and put another row of fencing up to protect my Strawberry Banana Plant.
I am a Newbie, but from what I understand, Sometimes growers/contests are interested in seeing the good, the bad and the ugly. So, today is an ugly day with no new growth or excitement to report. I am hoping next week I will have a plant to report on. For now, enjoy my videos of Thelma and Louise playing; the double fencing that I put up; and pray for my dear little Strawberry Banana Plant--that she may come back from her listless life and THRIVE. Until next week.....

Susquihanna I am sad to report that my Strawberry Banana Plant did not live through the puppies playful acts. It has succumbed to its death. I will have to start a new one, but alas, I do not have another strawberry and cream. I will have to ask my friend if she has one:)
Farewell my friends,
I will see you on another diary.
