FrostedLabworks Week 2 has gone exceptionally well overall. The plants are thriving, and my setup – powered by HomeAssistant and my custom-built GrowCore Terminal – is running like a dream. One of the highlights of this grow is the way I can now maintain perfect environmental conditions. Thanks to dynamic humidity control, I’m able to keep the Vapor Pressure Deficit (VPD) consistently at my target value of 1.2, which helps the plants grow under optimal stress-free conditions. There was only one minor issue this week: temperatures spiked a bit during flower days 10 to 13, reaching up to around 30°C. While not ideal, it wasn’t too far out of range, and thankfully things have stabilized again. The plants didn’t seem to suffer much from the heat, and overall development continues to look strong and healthy. One of the most exciting moments this week was seeing all the plants show their sex. To my delight, all three regular seeds from the Rainbow Valley line turned out to be female – what a win! I couldn’t be happier about that; it’s rare to get a 3-for-3 on regular seeds. ❤️ However, not everything is going perfectly. The Rainbow Jones plant is showing some concerning symptoms: rust-colored spots on some of the leaves. I've double-checked all the critical parameters – pH, EC, temperature, and humidity – and everything is perfectly within range. At this point, I’m not exactly sure what’s causing the issue. It could be a genetic quirk, or possibly a delayed reaction to the earlier heat stress. I’ll continue to monitor her closely and make any necessary adjustments. All in all, I’m very pleased with how this week went. The system is stable, the plants are responding well, and things are moving in a very promising direction. I'm excited to see what the coming weeks bring!
