Germination

Highnstein Day 1 – 05.05.2025 / 21:20 – Planted Yesterday, my MarsHydro tent and equipment finally arrived. Around 9:30 PM, I planted the Papaya Cookies seeds directly into the BioBizz Light Mix soil. I might have overwatered a bit — I poured about 1.3L of water into each pot, which could slow down germination. After planting, I covered the soil with clear plastic cups to maintain humidity. I sprayed the inside of the cups with water to help keep moisture levels up. The grow light is currently set to 25% power. This is my first grow ever, so I'm hoping for the best. If anyone reading this has tips or advice, I'm all ears! Day 2 – 06.05.2025 / 7:00 – Humidity at 99%, temperature 24°C (Turned on ventilation) Day 3 – 07.05.2025 / 17:57 – Humidity 85%, temperature 25°C – No signs of sprouting yet Day 4 – 08.05.2025 / 19:05 – The smallest one in the bottom left has sprouted and is already above soil. In the big pot next to it, the seed is visible at the surface but hasn’t emerged yet. The other two show no signs yet. Humidity lowered to 60–70% Temperature 25°C Day 5 – 09.05.2025 / 7:00 – Three have sprouted. The smallest one is holding up well, the stem has grown a bit. The one on the right has come out but still has the seed shell on its head (I'll check when I get home, maybe remove it manually?). The third one at the top has come out and looks healthy. Temperature: 24.6°C Humidity: 60% // 17:00 – Increased light intensity, humidity back to 70% Day 6 – 10.05.2025 / 10:40 – All four have sprouted. Two still have their seed shells (I removed one manually). Soil feels a bit dry, I’ll add about 150ml of water around each. I’ll transplant the smallest one into a big pot and add soil. Lowered humidity from 80% to about 60% (waiting to see where it stabilizes - looking for 70%). Dropped the light lower and increased to 40% power. Day 7 - 11/05/2025 / 10:00 Temperature dropped to 21°C, 50% humidity. Reduced fan speed — hoping things improve by the afternoon. All plants look fine.

Highnstein Day 8 - 12/05/2025 / 7:00 Temperature 26°C, humidity 80% (trying to reduce it to 70%). They look healthy and are growing. One still has the seed shell on — tried removing it with tweezers but didn’t work. Will try again when I get home. 21:05 – Humidity 70%, temp 27°C. Increased light intensity to 75% and turned on the fan to bring humidity down to 60%. Will check in the morning. All look healthy, no need to water. Day 9 - 13/05/2025 / 7:10 Everything looks healthy and bigger. Temp 26°C, humidity 53%. Soil felt dry, so I watered. (Humidity will hopefully rise back to 60%) 20:00 – Lowered the light height, kept intensity at 75%. No need to water. Humidity jumped to 70%, turned the fan back on to lower it to desired 60%. Day 10 - 14/05/2025 / 7:00 Everything looked okay, maybe a little dry — will water after work. Temp 26°C, humidity 54%. By evening, humidity increased to 70% and temp to 27°C. Day 11 - 15/05/2025 / 7:00 All looks okay. Two plants are slightly bent — lowered the light even more. Humidity 70%, temp 27°C. In the evening, one was leaning over — supported it with two sticks and it’s upright again. Moved the fan higher so it blows across all the plants. Day 12 - 16/05/2025 / 7:00 Everything looks good. Temp and humidity are spot on. 19:20 – Looked a bit dry, so I increased the watering dose. The drooping one drooped again, added support again. Leaves look wavy? Not sure why. Day 13 - 17/05/2025 All good. Watered two, the other two were still moist. Day 14 - 18/05/2025 Nothing unusual. Watered all four. Will check again in the evening. Growing faster every day. 21:00 - All good. Stable temperature and humidity.

Highnstein This week showed strong growth across all four plants. I began feeding with BioBizz Grow early in the week, and by the end, introduced Bloom and Top Max as well. Watering was done as needed — typically around 0.5 to 1 liter per plant — alternating between plain water and nutrient mixes. I also started low stress training (LST) on all plants, and they responded well. Humidity was the main issue throughout the week, often reaching 70%. I increased exhaust fan speed, aired out the grow tent, and placed a dehumidifier outside the tent to manage it. While this helped temporarily, humidity levels remain a challenge. Temperature stayed in a good range, and light intensity was increased to 100% with the fixture lowered closer to the canopy by the end of the week. Overall, the plants are looking healthy and strong, with steady progress despite the ongoing battle with high humidity.

Highnstein The plants continued to grow well and appear healthy overall. This week, I switched the light cycle to 18/6, and growth remained steady across most plants — although one smaller plant is still lagging, likely due to being in different soil. Watering was done regularly, with each plant receiving between 1 and 1.5 liters, alternating between plain water and nutrient mixes (1,5 ml of each BioBizz nutrient per liter on Day 26). Humidity remained a consistent issue, often spiking to 67–70%. I managed it by increasing exhaust fan speed, opening the window, and using the dehumidifier more aggressively, including overnight. By the end of the week, humidity levels improved, dropping to 55–60%, with temperatures stable around 24–27°C. Overall, the grow tent environment is becoming more balanced, and the plants are responding positively to the care and adjustments.

Highnstein The plants are progressing well and showing steady, healthy growth. Environmental conditions have improved this week — humidity has stayed consistently lower, ranging from 45% to 52%, and temperature has been maintained between 26°C and 28.7°C, with some effort to bring it down closer to 26°C for optimal conditions. Watering was done every few days, typically 1.5 liters per plant, and nutrient feeding was included on Days 30 and 34. The plants appear to be responding positively, with no visible issues. Overall, this week marked a stable phase in the grow, with balanced conditions and healthy development.

@NamasteDaze, Thanks a lot! Yeah, getting them to pop can be a pain — glad it worked out this time 😄 Sounds like you're on a chill setup with BioTabs and soil, way less fuss than coco for sure. Hope everything goes smooth and frosty for you too! Let’s both crush it this run ✌️🌿

Best of luck on your journey to frosty goodness. Getting the seeds to germinate has been one my bigger challenges; Kudos to you! Growing the same strain using BioTabs and soil for the first time. Hoping to me more sucessful and less time consuming then coco.
