GratefulgrowerX Seeds into water for 5 hours. Flushed solo cups with 6.3pH calmag water. Planted 1/2 inch down with mykos. Humidity dome on the solo cup. Lights on low. I wait with an abundance of impatience.

GratefulgrowerX Still learning about feeding before autopots. Probably underfed at first. Now concentrating on runoff EC to dial in proper feeding timing. Lights are at 22 DLI which is high, but the tent is dialed in (~0.6kPa VPD, ~83 degrees per Dr. Bugbee). She's not looking as vigorous as her roommate. A bit droopy, but no other signs of stress. I'll keep a close eye on her progress. Hopefully heavy doses of sarcasm will encourage her.
RO water with GH Calimagic, Silica in the substrate (so no waiting an hour to finish nute mixing).

GratefulgrowerX Shockingly sarcasm has no effect. Small sample size though, will continue to test. I'm pushing her and her roommate hard with such high EC (2.0) and DLI (24). Looking at previous grows on here it seems that she's just a light feeder in the beginning. Looks like I'm not the only one with a droopy plant. Unfortunately her roommate (GSC Auto) loves the extra juice. I'll find a better dance partner for her in future grows.
Transplanted into 3.9gal Autopot on Day 11. Daily feeding of about 600ml seems to get 20% runoff. Her runoff EC exceeded her input today, for the first time. The plan is to increase the EC/DLI tomorrow, heading into week 3. Hopefully this isn't the last NCH post :D

GratefulgrowerX Finishing up week 3 for NCH. She's looking good and growing well. Started Leaf tucking on Day 15. Thick and bushy. Dirk Diggler would've loved this one. She's been feeding herself for 4 days now and seems to be doing well with this increased DLI / EC program I'm running. Her roommate, GSC, is at 13.5 inches. I'm glad that they both seem to be doing well despite the different growth patterns. My first grow was two of the same strain so this has been an interesting learning experience.
I'll be looking to install trellis netting soon. I suppose I'll have to defoliate soon as well. My first grow didn't have plants this bushy, so I'll have to figure out timing and amount in order to avoid stunting.
DLI / EC for the last two batches was 27 / 2.5. Seems to be a decent balance.

GratefulgrowerX Slow but steady. For the last 11 days she's grown an inch per day. She's now 19.75" (50cms). First sign of pre-flower was Day 22. Her dance partner (GSC) has grown 2" per day in that same range. They are now 10" difference in height providing an interesting challenge. NCH is about 3-4 DLI lower despite the fact the I have the light sloped heavily to balance their height difference. And for that she's gotten herself some yellow tips. I decided to slow the increase of EC/DLI even though GSC can take it.
Both plants are quite bushy and my airflow is less than ideal despite having two oscillating fans in there. I'll be looking for a better solution for my size tent (2x4). Had a lot of dead/dying leaves at the bottom and had to defoliate heavy at an inappropriate time (Day 29).
She loves leaf tucking! Maybe it's the steady growth, but her canopy is level. It's good to know for future grows that I won't need heavier training.
I was using a small space heater in the tent, which made me nervous about safety and didn't perform well in such a small space. I decided to buy the AC infinity Heater (Thermoforge). It stays outside the tent and utilizes the same probe the other AC Infinity devices (Fan/Filter, Humidifier) use. It's given me one more lever to adjust to keep the environment in the ideal range.
NEW ENVIRONMENT SETTINGS:
Target VPD: 0.8-1.2kPa
Thermoforge Heater (just added): 83 degrees
Carbon Fan/Filter: Temp max: 84 degrees / Humidity max: 67%
DLI Target: 27
Nutrient mix: RO Water (w/CalMag), Canna A +B, Rhizo, Cannazym (no Cannaboost since it junks up the Autopot system)
Target EC: 2.3 (Maintaining concentration, trying to balance plant differences)
pH Range: 5.6-6.1 (I adjust anything outside of this)

GratefulgrowerX Day 38, 29.5 inches tall and she's in flower! Her roommate was taking over the tent. I did some heavy defoliation and lollipopping to help her out. I also lollipopped NCH. It's harder to tell with a squatty plant where to lollipop.
I'll be interested to see what the yield difference is given the vast difference in growth rate. On paper NCH's averages can be much higher. NCH's harvest starts after GSC's range is complete (70-80 vs 55-65). Tortoise vs Hare.
Data not available above:
VPD average for the last week: 1.07 kPa
DLI average for the last week: 24 (due to her being much shorter)
I've wanted to ramp the DLI up but my idiot brain cannot calculate the nute mix to be strong enough.

GratefulgrowerX Day 45. Strong and steady doesn't annoy the hell out of me. Despite the fact that her roommate was sprawled all over her when I got back from vacation and the fact that she's gotten considerably less light than she should, she's doing well. I had to tether the other plant to give her some room.
Her DLI was 25 or less for the last two weeks. It should be at 45 now, but 35 will have to do considering she's 10 inches shorter.
DLI set to 35.
VPD is around 1.1 kPa
