Germination
1y ago
Celenio I bought 2 seeds of all the strains except for the Titan (which I got as a gift). All of them germinated except for one Blueberry 💪. All strains except for the Cherry Pie germinated after 24 hours. The Cherry Pie took 4 days. 😎 After the first true leaves grew, I planted them in the final pots with a volume of 10 liters.

Celenio This is what the young plants look like now. During the day, they are on the covered balcony, and at night they come back inside because the nights are still too cold (below 15°C) 😎 more info: - The plant height is the average of all 6 plants 😅 - I let them grow on a covered balcony, and when it gets too cold at night, they come inside. - Lighting time is based on the natural sun cycle, so from sunrise to sunset (no artificial light).

Celenio Leaves are developing relatively slowly, maybe I'm just too impatient and thought it should go faster 😅. Unfortunately, it has gotten very cold at the moment, so I have to bring the plants inside from the balcony during the day 😐. I hope it will soon be consistently warmer and sunnier again. I'm curious to see how they develop in the next week. 😎 more info: - The plant height is the average of all 6 plants 😅. - I let them grow on a covered balcony, and if it gets too cold at night, they come inside. - Lighting time is the natural sunlight cycle, from sunrise to sunset (no artificial light).

Celenio Another week gone by 😅 Leaves have grown, but they've only gained a little height. I fought off fungus gnats yesterday with neem. Hopefully, I got them all. I'm sure they come in with the soil. I'm curious to see how the plants develop in the next week. They have to grow big eventually. 🙏 More info: - The plant height is the average of all 6 plants 😅 - I let them grow on a covered balcony; if it gets too cold at night, they come inside. - Lighting time is based on the natural sun cycle, so from sunrise to sunset (no artificial light). Celenio Plants hardly grew again, showing the first signs of flowering. That was probably a shot in the oven, all of it 😢😭

Celenio The minis are in bloom, small and puny, barely drinking water, so watering isn't necessary and fertilizing is impossible. I hope this misery ends soon so the pots can be freed up for a new attempt. 😔 more info: - The plant height is the average of all 6 plants 😅 - I let them grow on a covered balcony. During the day, I cover the soil with paper and the pots with a foam mat so the soil doesn't heat up too much. - Lighting time is the natural sun cycle, from sunrise to sunset (no artificial light).

Celenio After all the pots are wrapped in insulation foil, the temperature of the soil is much lower 😅 Unfortunately, the last 2 days have been well over 30 °C during the day. At night, it cools down nicely again. They all remain small, only the Cherry Pie 1 is growing now and even forming new leaves. A nice-looking Bonsai Cherry Pie 😂😎 I'm leaving them all in the pots and observing them a bit longer until I can use the pots for proper plants. Additional info: - The plant height is the average of all 6 plants 😅 - I'm letting them grow on a covered balcony. During the day, the soil is covered with paper and the pots with an insulating mat to prevent the soil from overheating too much. - Lighting time is the natural sunlight cycle, from sunrise to sunset (no artificial light).

Celenio The Cherry Pie keeps growing more, but everything in bonsai format. The Wedding Cake 1 is also putting on some growth. The others just a tiny bit or not at all. more info: - The plant height is the average of all 6 plants 😅 - I let them grow on a covered balcony. Celenio Everything is staying small as expected. The Cherry Pie 1 has a nice mini flower and smells lovely lemony 😋 I'm letting them all grow and enjoying the look. 😎 More info: - The plant height is the average of all 6 plants 😅 - I'm letting them grow on a covered balcony. Celenio The minis grow a bit bushier in the flowering stage but not taller and emit a pleasant fresh lemony scent. more info: - The plant height is the average of all 6 plants 😅 - I let them grow on a covered balcony. Happy growing 🌱💙
DuschkabinenGrow
What happened that they stay so small? Kind of cute though Do you think it's worth it or should I just destroy them and start over?

@Celenio, I sent you a message. I've had problems with small plants too, but not this tiny yet.

@DuschkabinenGrow, where did you write the message? Or rather, where do I have a mailbox?

@Celenio, this is really crap here. There's a paper airplane down in the bottom right. Unfortunately, you can't see when you get a new message... @GrowDiaries new people seem to struggle to find the private messages and also for me (and probably others) there is no indication that I received a new message (I just look there once a day)

Hello, with a humidity of only 43%, that's exactly what happens. I've had that too. They don't grow because the roots are still too small. And due to the low humidity, they can't take up water through the leaves either. Put a clear plastic cup or a small clear orchid pot over them until they're about as big as yours at the end (2-3 nodes). Or just leave them longer in your Romberg seedling tray. And check online what humidity the plants need and when. You can catch that with "normal" levels and just wait. But the autos will flower, no matter how small they still are. And temperatures over 30 degrees are too much as well. I find it best to work with a VPD chart (leaves 2 degrees cooler than the air).
