420_Scene This is the start of my Barf Breath by Solfire Gardens on the left and Apple Banana Martini by LIT Farms run on the right and they’re sitting under the usual 75% ProMix HP and 25% worm castings. I’ve had them sitting under 77-79 degrees in my germination kit with the soi being at 75-77 degrees. I have the heat mat controller set for 77. I also was checking the different light strip settings on the germ kit and I have it set for 8 outta 10 which makes it at around 250-260 PPFD, a little higher than my Black Cherry Bliss run but they were also a little leggy so I upped it a little more. The humidity has been at around 80% for the first week, because at this point, your job is to make sure the taproot doesn’t dry out. After the first week, you can let the soil dry a little more.

420_Scene My new Barf Breath and Apple Banana Martini just went through the one week seedling stage but still gonna wait a week to transplant into a bigger container. They're sitting in 75% Pro Mix HP and 25% EWC by Wiggly Worm and I started thing the water as they've already developed a tap root system.

420_Scene Day 12 Of Veg and disregard the seedling cups in the shot, those are cucumber seedlings that just popped and I’ll be taking them outside in about a week or two. I cut out the coly and first set of regular leaves to help push the energy up to where it needs to on these Barf Breath and Apple Banana Martini plants and I’ve got em sitting under about 375-400 PPFD and for now I’m just gonna let em grow into the light so I won’t have to adjust the light distance right away. I will be mainlining these of course like I always do, maybe a week or two from now. The first month of veg is pretty much setting up for the mainline and the 2nd month of veg is just stretching em out and making em bushy. These plants are sitting in 3 gallon containers and the one is in a one gallon container just because I ran out of fish bone meal at the time of transplanting and had to order more, so this was more of a temporary solution to get me some time. Temps have been around 75 degrees, humidity at 60%, VPD is pretty much at 1.00. I did give them Recharge after I transplanted, kinda gives em a little microbial boost to get them nutrients uptaken quick. I always give em recharge after transplanting so that way they don’t have to wait much to uptake nutrition once the amendments get broken down. They're also sitting in 25% worm castings, so disregard the "1 tsp" under the nutrients, didn't really have any other options.

420_Scene I just mainlined all 4 plants, and I'm gonna be transplanting them into a bigger container, probably this evening. They're sitting under 400-450 PPFD under one of my ES300's by The Green Sunshine Company. I've heard that LIT Farms are finicky but these Apple Banana Martini (the ones without the q-tip) have been growing smoothly, not much issues at all. The Bard Breath by Solfire Gardens have been a little finicky but still pretty smoothly. Temps have been in the 70's, gonna throw in another fan into the tent, currently onlly have the box fan on the outside of tent, pushing cooler air in, the overhead monkey fan, and inline fan, might add a tower fan, just to help with the overall air circulation...good to have a primary fan in there. Nothing really much to report, other than they didn't need any recovery time from the mainline. I mainlined last night around 9PM and by 3AM, they were mostly praying.

420_Scene I'm currently on Day 32 of veg and the first month is where I'm mainlining them and focusing on setting up so I could start doing more branch bending and topping during the 2nd half of veg. The ones on the right are Barf Breath by Solfire Gardens and the ones on the left are Apple Banana Martini by LIT Farms. The one on the front left side has a bit of heat stress and had some weird brewing on one of the leaves, almost like phosphorus deficiency but kinda different and they wouldn't have P deficiency as they were mixed in with bat guano and fish bone meal and only one leaf was affected so I plucked it out which is why it doesn't look perfectly symmetrical but sometimes as a grower, you gotta make decisions that benefit the grow, even if it doesn't look symmetrical for socials. But the rest are doing great, they're sitting under the ES 300's by The Green Sunshine Company. RIP. They were transplanted a week ago which is why I didn't have an update last week. I hit em with Recharge and Fish Shit on the initial watering AFTER the transplant, it's something I always do to set the tone and establishing/maintaining the soil food web. I added DTE Kelp Meal to the initial mix which I didn't do for the Black Cherry Bliss run and that's the difference between getting mag deficiency and not getting mag deficiency.

420_Scene Not quite sure why the photos of this run are looking washed out but I'm currently on Day 38 of veg and I've shaped up the plants how I like them through the mainlining process, so now I'll be bending them down until flowering stage starts and keeping up with the maintenance of the branching structure and plucking out the bottom growth periodically. Not a fan of stripping a whole bunch of leaves all in one shot. I have some heat stress, most likely because I have 3 grow lights in two different tents in the same room so I might put these plants on a different light schedule to make it easier so there won't be heat issues. Just been hard because of the super hot summers in the Northeast along with super humid outdoor conditions. Been putting in OT on the AC unit. The branching is pretty thick considering I haven't started using silica yet. I usually don't start until AFTER I do my first tie down.

420_Scene Again, not sure why my photos keep coming washed out on GD but I digress. The Apple Bananaq Martini has been giving me heat stress at 74-75 degrees which is pretty wild so I've been using only 1x ES300 in the middle of the tent, just to ease up on the heat but once the Black Cherry Bliss are done, I'll throw em into the 5x5 where they will have more room and it's closer to the AC. Summer sucks for indoor growing. LOL. I've been mainlining and topped a 2nd time and I'll be topping two more times and letting em grow taller to get nice stalks. I'm pretty happy with how chunky the trunks are. I started implementing silica about a week ago and brewed a nice compost tea. Below are the ingredients I used to make it:
- 5 gallon bucket
- Unsulfured Molasses (4 TBSP)
- Earthworm Castings (1 CUP)
- Kelp Meal (4TBSP)
- Banana Peels (3-5)
If your pH is higher off the bat, the kelp meal should bring it down closer to neutral but if your water is already neutral, the kelp meal may bring your pH down to 5.0 so if that's the case, ditch the kelp meal. It will still be an excellent brew, especially with the banana peels that are LOADED with microbes. Gonna come back next week and see how they adjust to the Nova Sun 8-bar 950w LED.
After growing like 15 of lit farms strains I been telling everyone lit farms has some winners in their packs. The only thing with lit seeds bad I have found is there is a high percentage of the plants that have bad growth structure and a lot of there strains are really sensitive to stress.
Looking good so far bro, question, how often do you water in seedling stage with the jiffy pots? They seem to try out very quick and i don't wanna damage the taproot.
@TranquilBottleWizard, I don’t use the jiffy pots for that reason. Unless they’re the cucumbers but I put them outside after a week. I normally use coco cups for my seedlings.
WOW LOOK AT DAT!!!! YOU GET BARF BREATH FROM DRINKING TO MANY APPLE BANANA MARTINIS!!!!!!!! NEED TO MAKE A CROSS DAT IS FO SURE!!!!! DAT WOULD BE VERY VERY GOOD!!!!!!!!🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸🤢🤢🤢!!
