NoVC01 With my guidance, this is the wife's grow. She is registered to cultivate and is allowed 4 mature medical and 2 recreational. Seeds were sprouted under flowering light schedule. They were stretchy and plugs were planted deep to cover some of the stretch. Just in case a second set of seeds were germinated. These seeds came from a jar of dispensary flower a couple years ago. One bud in the ounce contained 30 seeds. Not sure what the pronouns are. Hoping they are not drag queens.

NoVC01 Since transplanting plugs into 6" (half gallon) containers, the starts have stayed outside. I do cover them with a bath towel at night. Weather is around 39°F overnight. Daytime temps start moving into the 70°F this week (5/24/25). My vegetable garden will be included in the diary. Growing 12 Anaheim peppers, 6 early girl tomatoes and three each green and red bell peppers. Working on a permanent 10' x 20' privacy structure. Structure will have expansion to clear plastic cover and front as temperatures begin moving to fall.
Growing Purple Pineapple Express Cannabis
Purple Pineapple Express is a visually striking and flavorful cannabis strain that's a cross between Pineapple Express and Huckleberry Hound, known for its sweet, fruity aroma and balanced effects. Here's a guide to growing Purple Pineapple Express:
1. Genetics and Phenotypes:
Lineage: Pineapple Express x Huckleberry Hound, inheriting the desirable traits of both parent strains.
Phenotypes: Expect a mix of phenotypes, with some leaning towards the Pineapple Express's sativa-dominant traits and others showing more indica-like characteristics from Huckleberry Hound.
Coloration: You can expect purple hues in the buds, inherited from the Huckleberry Hound lineage, which will become more pronounced as the plant matures and temperatures cool.
2. Growing Environment:
Climate: Purple Pineapple Express thrives in moderate to warm climates, ideally between 70°F and 85°F.
Indoor vs. Outdoor: This strain can be grown both indoors and outdoors. Indoors, you'll have more control over the environment, including temperature, humidity, and light.
Outdoor Considerations: When growing outdoors, ensure the plants are protected from strong winds and heavy rain.
3. Growing Medium and Nutrients:
Soil: Purple Pineapple Express prefers a well-draining, nutrient-rich soil mix. Consider using a quality potting mix with added perlite for aeration.
Nutrients: Use a balanced fertilizer throughout the vegetative stage and switch to a bloom fertilizer with higher phosphorus content once flowering begins.
pH Levels: Maintaining a slightly acidic soil pH, around 6.0-6.5, is ideal for optimal nutrient absorption.
4. Light and Training:
Light: During the vegetative stage, use an 18/6 light cycle (18 hours of light, 6 hours of darkness). Once you're ready to induce flowering, switch to a 12/12 light cycle.
Training: Consider using low-stress training (LST) or Screen of Green (ScrOG) techniques to manage plant height and promote a more even canopy, resulting in better yields.
5. Flowering and Harvest:
Flowering Time: Purple Pineapple Express has a flowering time of around 8-9 weeks.
Harvesting: Monitor the trichomes (the resin glands on the buds) for optimal ripeness. Harvest when most of the trichomes are cloudy with a few amber ones.
Drying and Curing: After harvesting, dry the buds in a cool, dark place with good airflow for about 7-10 days, then cure them in airtight jars for several weeks to enhance flavor and smoothness.
6. Key Growing Tips:
Watering: Water regularly but avoid overwatering. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings.
Airflow: Ensure good airflow around the plants to prevent mold and mildew issues, especially in humid environments.
Pest and Disease Control: Regularly inspect plants for pests and diseases and take appropriate action if needed.
NoVC01 Seeds sown on 5/9/2025. This post 5/29/2025. Plants fed 1/2 liter Big Bloom mix, 3 times. Weather has started to stabilize. Above 40°F overnight. Mostly 70°F+ and has moved into 80°F during the day. No longer using towel to protect plants at night. Keep thinking the cotyledon leaf is going to show secondary. As soon as the second set of true leaves establish will start grow nutrients.
Back row line up leaning towards the Huckleberry Hound side. Front may be leaning towards the Pineapple Express side. Need two of these for front row.
The arnica plant is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the sunflower family, known for its yellow or orange flowers. It is native to North America and Europe, with some species found in Asia. Arnica is commonly used for its medicinal properties, particularly in relieving inflammation and pain. The plant thrives in well-drained, slightly alkaline soil and prefers full sunlight, although it can tolerate some shade in hot climates. The blossoms are typically harvested for medicinal use, often prepared as topical applications to aid in healing bruises and inflammation.

NoVC01 NOW MY HOUSE COMPLIES WITH STATE LAW. WE ARE LEGAL OUTDOORS!Today is 06/01/2025. Target was today.
Wife choose 15-gallon containers/FoxFarm. (I would have been satisfied w/10 and MiracleGro)
Old, disabled 'bout killed me. Should have done this fifteen years ago. The cost to me was hardware and windscreen panels. One side or the other of 0 USD invested. Lumber, etc. came from leftover past projects. If I were younger this project would have taken a day and a half. Took me five. SAD!!
There is room to construct a clear plastic roof and front or shade cloth. Garden receives sun from sunup and begins to fade about 6:00 PM. Facing in a South Easterly direction. Plans for 2' metal plant shelves around inside walls for other plants/vegetables, much later!
Container fill and Soil Amendment on 06/02/2025. Seedlings continue in 1/2 gallon containers. Today 06/01 seedlings fed grow nutes at 1/4 liter each.
06/02/2025
Unfiltered well water, ph 7.3. Hard with build up of lime or calcium. Don't care. I'm not using a watering can of ph adjusted water every watering. Straight out of the hose, even when I feed. Wahh Wah but the plants might suffer uptake. LOL
This what I consider amending the soil. Existing soil is organic and contains organic nutrients, but, it has to be ammended.
Soil watered in each container, at a rate of 4 gallons adjusted as follows.
08 tbls (120 ml) Big Bloom
04 tsp (20 ml) Cal-mag
08 tbls (120 ml) Epsom Salt
1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) Nitrogen
1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) Phosphorous
1/4 tsp (1.25 ml) Potassium
Plants moved to grow area.
Strong💪💪💪💪 i didn't thought you would build the place up like that. It's a very wonderful job you did right there. They also got enough space to strecht their limbs and make them full of flowers😍❤️💚🌱
And once again such a wonderful bit of land to call your own you have there❤️💚
@BrediniGreeny, Thanks Bredini. Secondary Branches are peaking out. Am feeding for growth and may not transplant until they are ready to top. My canopy is seven feet. PPFD 1800. DLI 90
🍭 15 hours daylight. 39F night 80F day. The cotyledon leaves are healthy and the blade even has branches.
@BrediniGreeny, been busy this weekend building a 10 x 20 windscreen for the grow. Plus I have 24 vegetable plants to put in 5 gallon bags. I see 7 notifications from your garden I need to view.
@NoVC01, nice to hear. Hope it all worked out😊
I transplanted most of my house plants [ in the pic my biggest to date dwarf Australia umbrella tree] and started some new diaries here also. Some experiments, like cloning [which I never did before] with homemade rooting stimulators. The cutting that i took for the clonin experiment came from a young plant bought at my local Cannabis Club. Bought 2 photoperiods LSD and Gorilla Glue. They will be a long time in vegg since I also started 2 new Autoflowering seeds F5 Forum Stomper and F7 Double Grape. I am hyped to see how they do in comparison to other Autoflowering seeds where the breeders don't give much information about the genetics😁
@NoVC01, the tomatoes and chillis that you planted also look very good. Vibrant, green and healthy. Wow😍😍 hey if I was your neighbour you would be getting a lot of help😂 💚🌱
