S4nchi This week, I added nematodes to the soil to prevent from future gnat problems, an issue I ran into last year. I fed with selfmade aloe juice to stimulate root growth. And since we got some scorching weather ahead of us, I also covered the soil with pine mulch to keep it from drying out too quickly. This baby is bathing in 10 hours of perma-sun.

S4nchi The girl has an incredible vigor and energy in it, she‘s growing fast in height. Two days ago I topped her for the first time, above the fourth node. My hope is to keep her from becoming a tree and to stimulate some side branching instead. She still has a couple of weeks of vegging ahead of her. I guess it won‘t be the last time she gets topped but we‘ll see.

S4nchi The poison girls are growing well and have recovered nicely from the topping operation they underwent last week. I’m so proud of them! As a reward, they were fed with another homemade aloe vera boost, 2 weeks after the first one. Weather is nice, sunny and warm with occasional rain showers. Just perfect conditions.

S4nchi This week, the girls got topped a second and last time. They‘re doing very nicely so far. They survived the 4-day heat wave with temperatures up to 42 degrees C without complaints. The wick watering system did an awesome job. I topfed some standard flower nutes (3-3-3) to keep them happy. If the plant is happy, the hooman is happy, too.

S4nchi Another week has passed by. Moderate temperatures, some sunny days, some cloudy days. The two girls look alright and both made good progress in terms of height and side branches. Rubbing the stems already reveals a glimpse of the aroma that has yet to come.

S4nchi The vigor of this strain is truly remarkable. The two poison girls grew another 25 cm alone in the past week. I guess we are in the flower stretching phase now although there are no pistils to see yet. New leaves are still forming and the sidebranches get sidebranches. I’m very happy how they‘re evolving. They also got a little thirstier. This week, I fed them with some 3-3-3 allround fertilizer to keep them happy.

S4nchi Both poison girls have reached 100 cm now. They’re large, they’re bushy, still with an open structure though to let the wind pass through. And they still continue to produce new leafs. Incredible. Top-feeding with a standard 3-3-3 once a week goes on.

S4nchi The poison girls are in no hurry, apparently. More flowers appeared but they‘re still very tiny. Once again, patience is the virtue of every gardener. The upcoming days are expected to be very warm and sunny, yay. They get their weekly mix of 3:3:3 and molasses and that‘s it. Cya next week.

I also have a Green Poison F1 Fast Version growing outdoors at home, it’s crazy how it just doesn’t want to stop growing 😂 It’s already gained 10 cm since I thought it would stop. Very dense bush, beautiful leaves, really an amazing seed

@Furet, Yeah, they are working horses for real. Tbh, I underestimated their size quite a bit. Let's hope for a rich harvest. Happy growing!

Good call on the nematodes dude. I think i get some from my worm bin/castings I haven't seen any gnats since

@MindFlowers68, true, worm castings may already contain them. I'm mostly reusing soil from last year's grow where I added nematodes rather late. I read that they may survive in winter time, but maybe not. This is why I added some fresh ones just to make sure. Gnats and thrips are pests which I definitely try to prevent rather than treat.
