MindFlowers68 The seed(s) were soaked overnight with regular filtered water that was aerated. Seeds were then placed in 1 gal plastic pots. I usually start my seeds in 5 gal fabric pots but I was limited on space. Also doing more strains at one time than usual so I can have some variety of clones available for friends and family. Instead I decided to germinate my seeds in 1 gal this time and see how things went but had a harder time with a few of them. It was not until the seedlings got fee compost tea they started to take off. I was unable to get vermiculite or perlite at the store at the time of starting the seeds so I mixed some violet mix i had sitting around had some mixed in it. The mix was mostly peat and lava rock left over and worm castings with some gia green 4-4-4 and glacial rock dust. Mosquito bits were also added. Once the seeds sprouted I added some microbes and fungi powder. In the future If I have the space will stick to doing my seed starting in 3-5 gal fabric pots.

MindFlowers68 Seedlings all growing at expected rate. Added soluble root zone to the seedlings again, and they got their first feeding. Some liquid kelp and cal-mag. They were only watered once for the whole week. The PPFD at the canopy level was set to around 250 with my my lights at 100 percent at the top of the tent. While they are growing I Too the time to get the 150 pots ready for outside. The soil is a mix of woodchips from my maple tree that composed for about a year mixed with super soil aged over winter from my old grows that's full of biochar and worms. Also a pile of woodchips that had my worm bin emptied into at the end of the season last year that turned into mostly worm castings. This was then amended with a few cubic feet of peat moss and about cubic foot each of pearlite, vermiculate and lava rock. for nutrients gia green 4-4-4(2C), glacial, and basalt rock dusts(1C each), Down to earth neem seed meal(1C) and fish bone meal(1/2 C). Also added some diatomaceous earth(1/2C) and touch of rock phosphate(1/4) an mosquito bits(1/4C) (1/4C)and just a tbps of potassium sulphate.

MindFlowers68 The rainbow melon is not the tallest but defiantly the thickest and biggest pant so far of this round. Was only watered once with kelp and cal mag. But i must have not had my ph dialed in or something because a few of the seedling started showing sulphur /iron deficiency issues. I tried to adjust by adding some gypsum and basalt to the top and watering it in.

MindFlowers68 Some of the plants showing more signs of yellowing from watering issues and ph issues. Luckily I was able to get a nice strong batch of Boogie Brew compost tea made and gave them all a nice soak and bath with it. Within two days all but one of the plants bounced back. Now that the plants are able to fend for themselves a little better was a good opportunity to try to harden them off the ones going outside to the elements outside. I did so by placing on a shaded part of my deck for a few hours. I was also able to get my tent inside ready and they were moved from the small cool grows tent to my 4x8 tent with my big lights. I adjusted the light to be around 500 PPFD at canopy.

MindFlowers68 I got a nice stretch of good weather and was able to transplant in its new 150 gallon home. I set up and inner and outer trellis to hep protect and support the plant. I watered in with a rich brew of compost tea to inoculate its new home with microbe and fungal friends!

MindFlowers68 A mostly uneventful week for the outdoor photoperiods. The were watered once with the cal-mag/kelp solution and were kind of pounded with rain most of the week. Then It got very humid too. I was worried for the plants during the storm we had they we calling for 70 mph winds that took down some powder lines and trees down the street. While i don't have the plants rigidly staked the cages were able to support the plants during the storm. Im not sure if the stakes would help or hurt i have a feeling it would help them snap easier rather than bend with the wind. They all survived and are getting some nice intense sunlight after the storm. I'm hoping I will be able to take some clones this week. Also hoping that my mantis cocoons will hatch!

MindFlowers68 This week was over 100 heat index for several days but the plants did not require any more water than normal. I feed with compost tea at 600 ppm at the begging of the week the night before the heatwave. Then again with cal-mag water 2 days later in the morning and they have been holding onto steady moisture for 3 days I wanted to hold off on watering because we have some rain in the forecast. I also topped of with a cup of BSF frass and quarter cup of neem seed meal before feeding the compost. Still not Mantis cocoon hatch! Sti have not got clones yet, s i have it cleaned the bottoms or defoliated yet as I want to use them.

MindFlowers68 Rough week for the rainbow melon. Giant limb from my maple tree crashed down on my two far pots in the group. The plant survived and should recover but lost a few weeks of growth. It did not get hit as bad as the bubblegum next door and managed to keep one of the main tall stalks. She was looking so nice before the damage and just starting to bush out too. But luckily that branch coming down opened up the sky quite a bit and the other two plants not hit are gonna do even better now and the rainbow melon should recover okay. I almost wanted to replace them but I will learn more from seeing what happens next and comparing to the other unaffected plants. Fed with compost tea, kelp and cal mag mix 700 ppm.

Limb damage. Bubblegum hit worse but it did open sunlight up a good bit. Maybe the extra light will put them right back in a few weeks. I have 3 unmaimed plants i had inside i could replace them. how can i move my pots out from under the tree? I never wanted them to go there but

As long as you have a few weeks before they flip, they'll be fine. The top might have gotten some damage, but don't forget all the roots are still there and nicely established in the soil, so you have a small plant with a big mouth now and they can bounce back from abuse surprisingly well and quickly. I would leave them be

MindFlowers68 Looks like she is recovering just fine from that tree limb falling last week. The top shoot that was left has not reached 5 feet tall. Some of the lowers are coming through the outer cage. This week was similar with amount of rain and storms so I only gave compost tea once.
