SLOG & AK Outdoors

BacktotheGreen So this is gonna be an experimental grow of some seeds that were just given to me. Im going off what was on the label as of now not much other info on strains, they are probably either a mainstream strain just not labelled or something close just a few generations off. Super Lemon OG & AK, they are photoperiod and not sure fem rate, so ill sex them as they mature. Week 1 Im not really keeping track of days other than just knowing the weeks. This will be similar to another grow im doing indoors, it will be all organic just outdoors. Im not really sure about feeding schedules yet, im debating using this as a tester and use different ferts/supplements and different concentrations to dial in what works best for me. All seeds will start the same, paper towel germination, Jiffy Natural & Organic seed starter mix for seedlings, then repot to FF Ocean Forest, Mykos and earthworm castings for base soil. First week or so just water then move to a nutrient schedule.

BacktotheGreen So a bit of a change this week, lost the runt, started nutrient schedule and went out of town for 4 days, sooo. I worked out a chart to use this grow as a test for nutrients. I want to see if and how much of a difference there is between, running a "complete" line (in this case Roots Uprising & Roots Terp Tea), just either one of these not both together, and 2 sorta versions of an all purpose fertilizer. One being fish based in DTE Bio-Fish/Langbeinite and Gaia Green All-Purpose (1st week used miracle gro) and finally as a control, one plant will just have the mixed soil, H2O and maybe some compost/guano teas in flower if needed. Coming to the loss, I have them labeled so I can keep track and SLOG 3 was the runt. I haven't babying these ladies too much, pretty much threw them to elements from the start and unfortunately it was cooked on one of the 100+ degree days 😔 This was going to be the plant running the full lineup, so I will have to choose another to fill its spot. BacktotheGreen They are starting to come along! I'm gonna keep letting them get full sun and probably won't top or train until they at least a couple ft high. So here is the breakdown of fertilizer plan: SLOG 1 - Uprising Grow, Uprising Bloom (guano tea) SLOG 2- Uprising Grow, Uprising Bloom / Terp Tea Grow, Terp Tea Bloom (guano tea) AK 1- CONTROL Just H2O and maybe guano tea. I will adjust soil a bit when transplant for bloom. AK 2- Gaia Green ALL Purpose (maybe Gaia Bloom?) AK 3- Down to Earth Bio-Fish & Langbeinite (guano tea) AK 4- Terp Tea Grow, Terp Tea Bloom AK 5- Uprising Grow, Uprising Bloom Also sprinkled some diatomaceous earth at the top of the soil for pest control and a bit of calcium Hypothesis: The plant with full lineup (SLOG 2) will perform the best and there will be variations potentially in progressing weeks/growth stages but all will turn out ok. I would assume that the control (AK 1) will be the lowest performer and that the others will fall some where in the middle. Ultimately, I think the differences will come in flower weight and density maybe some quality/potency but not much. What I'm interested to see is how my hypothesis fairs and what the differences between a lineup like roots organic and potentially just running really good soil and a single fertilizer for veg and bloom. Would I have to fill in for deficiencies in bloom? If so what and at what concentration?

BacktotheGreen Missed a couple weeks of updates due to travel but back for a while... So what's happened in the last couple weeks, well sprayed some neem/peppermint oil and had some burning, which I should have done better. Also had some damage from a hail storm and I wasn't home to move them. These plants just keep on trucking! After getting back from travel and yesterday, spent the day doing plant maintenance and getting caught up. I transplanted all these plants to 5 gallon pots, refreshed the soil and did some defoliation. They all healthy and will be big!

BacktotheGreen My outdoor garden is rocking! All plants are looking great, healthy and growing, just the damn crickets keep munching on them. I go back and forth on training but my thoughts right now are to let them just grow and AK 4 & SLOG 2 sorta naturally topped when they were damaged with the neem/peppermint oil incident. I kinda like the idea of just letting them deal with the elements and hands off.

BacktotheGreen So as far as I can tell they are all presexing female, this could mean some are hermie but I trust the source of these seeds, so I going to assume they are all female until I seed evidence of something else. AK 4, is taking well to LST, she is looking to be the same size with 5 colas as the other single stems. SLOG 1 is the beast, right now I'd say she is about 4-4 1/2 ft tall and could potentially get over 6ft. As with all the other grows just keep em healthy and let them grow! Hahaha, forgive my toes in the pics.

BacktotheGreen Came back from travels to find everything looks great, lots of growth and two plants have started flowering. All plants are still showing female, and no hermies.

BacktotheGreen Basically all 7 plants are flowering or at the start of flowering. SLOG 2 is about 7-10 days in, and AK 2 is an about 3-7 days. The rest are right at the line so a couple more days and they all will look good. So really only the 2 that are really visibly flowering got bloom nutes and the rest still are on veg. Also after thinking about it, since AK 1 is the control with just good soil and water, I decided to make it the only repot to amend the soil as need for bloom.
