Kushycat After I had already grown the F1 hybrids a few weeks before and they unfortunately became bonsai trees due to bad conditions (outdoor) (maybe I will put the first attempt online) I decided to give them another chance for the garden year 25. I was not to be disappointed......
The information on temperature, humidity etc. is relative due to outdoor conditions.😉

Kushycat So far, the F1 hybrids and the Sweet ZZ Auto are on a par in terms of growth.
The sun is shining and the weather could hardly be better.

Kushycat Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the little ones individually.
They have done quite well so far and now the F1 hybrids will clearly stand out from the Sweets but see for yourself what happens next week 😁

Kushycat Unfortunately I found some aphids on my little ones and then watered them with neem oil and also defoliated them a little.
After that I tied them down a little.
As you can see in the photo, one of the F1s is starting to flower. 😍

The girls are all going into flower and I have given them a dose of Bio-Bloom Fertilizer from RQS.
Unfortunately it is not listed and here is the link to it

Kushycat I defoliated the girls a bit and treated them with bondage xD
I gave them their first big dose of Blossom Booster and, as always, some Alga and a small dose of FishMix a few days ago.
The EasyStart and Bat Guano from transplanting should be used up soon. I may put some farmyard fertilizer (a mix of chicken/cow manure) on the soil and add it when watering.
It's extremely hot today (37 in the shade) and I'm about to water properly.
If it stays like this for the next few weeks, the tubers will be really fat and dripping with resin!
To be honest, the Sweet ZZ disappoints me quite a bit.
All 3 plants had identical conditions at the start.
The location, soil, etc 100% the same except for the fact that the Medusa and Apollo are F1 hybrids.
Hardly any noticeable stretch, but maybe something will happen in the next few days.

Kushycat Kushycat I defoliated the girls a bit again.
Gave another dose of Bloom Booster and, as always, some Alga and a small dose of FishMix a few days ago. and some Bat Guano Today
Sweet ZZ still disappointing. Will give her nutrients etc like the other girls and see what happens.
Peace out!
16.07.2025 It has rained and stormed heavily in the last two days, so the little darlings and the soil have been thoroughly rinsed. I cheered the little mice up with some farmyard manure. Also i did some Defoliation again.

Kushycat The weather is pretty poor and it rains a lot.
Nevertheless, the tubers have put on some weight and I'm praying that I don't get rot in the buds again and that it will soon be stable and warm without rain for the finishing touches.
I removed some large leaves again today and the ladies are very thirsty.
They were in the garden shed for a day because it stormed with heavy rain.
In the fall it will be the first time indoors and I am the weather god!
25.07.2025 Bad news is a bad guest, as Gandalf used to say.
Unfortunately, I found two spots on the F1 girls that are rotten (see picture).
I cut them out and looked at the glands under the microscope (see picture).
Tomorrow is supposed to be hot again, followed by rain. Normally, they would need a few more days, but the glands are milky and the risk of further rot is too great. Therefore, they will probably be harvested tomorrow.
Uff had some bad Days...Weather and my own Condition. It rained a lot Outside and Inside 😂
Feeling a little better now. Will Update my Progress from the Girls Tomorow.😍
F1 Apollo zeigt sich wesentlich robuster was Schmodder betrifft. Bis jetzt *fingerscrossed* noch keine Stelle gefunden. Aus welcher Himmelsrichtung kommst du?
