Planted my last GC seed this week after the GDP disaster. I have 5 more seeds on route for a new and wonderful strain, but I wanted to get this one going in the meantime. I've had to fully sterilize my grow room due to the eminent risk of pollen from the GDP hermies. After germination and planting the seed, 3 days later (this morning) it has begun to emerge from the soil.

Given that my grow room had 4 GDP plants that all turned hermie and grew to 5 weeks in flower before I culled; how long into the flower cycle do herm plants generally take to release their pollen? At this point I don't know if they did or not. How long does pollen stay viable?

If the bananas were showing they're probably already releasing pollen. If you went in and did a good clean either with alcohol or bleach, you've hopefully stopped any further pollination risk and especially if the hermied plants had been removed. You seem like you're handling the problem well and efficiently. Happy growing.

All of my Blue cookies seeds failed to sprout. As I found out later on, this was because I needed warmer temperatures in the clone dome. Shout out to Cropking Seeds for helping me out with my second run of Blue Cookies seeds.

A whole lot happened in the last 2 weeks. As seen in week 1, I planted 5 Blue Cookies seeds. All failed, which is odd because I have a 95%+ record with growing seeds. When I got 5 more BC seeds from crop king, I tested with 2 more, again failure. It seems that the BC strain takes much more talent than I had originally anticipated. Finally, on the third try, with another 2 seeds, I nailed the requirements. It turns out that they need a much warmer environment to sprout. Since I'm in a basement, I'm usually at around 22C, so when I added a heat pad for the clone dome, I was able to bring it up to 27C. I also dropped the ph of the water I was using on them to around 5.8 ph and added some basic veg nutrients to it (A+B and a small splash of calmag) bringing ppm to 450ish. Also worth noting is that I keep a bit of water in the bottom of the tray so that the dome doesn't dry out while I'm at work. It is important to clean the tray and add fresh water each day to avoid the bad things that come with stagnant water. This water tends to evaporate quicker with the higher temperature, so I need to have more in there now. Despite failed amazon deliveries and stubborn seeds, I am now finally able to document some blue cookies strain. Stay tuned?
