XanHalen Weekly Comment... - Moved outside after a month indoors, no gradual adjusting and she seems fine with it; no signs of early flowering. - will be amending top-soil with dolomite lime to buffer rainwater and whatever else gets in it. Updates...

XanHalen July 16th Weekly comments: I watched her (yes i know its a her cuz preflowers already... its only mid july in southern ontario i thought it was mid august flip but whatevs...) go from a droop show midday to completely standing tall and strong in 30 minutes... so I think she is very resistant to underwatering; not to mention the absolute 80+F heatwave for about 2 weeks... Just been tieng tallest branches down every few days and pruning lowest scumbucket leaves and chutes... not too much at once tho... this outdoor girl is officially the largest plant i have grown so far... GG for now mf's

XanHalen Weekly Update: July 26th - more than just preflower pistils now, stretch is here and buds are forming - hoping for a 1:1 dry yeild as my 2 indoor girls are in a cramped hole (check it out --- https://growdiaries.com/diaries/273032-grow-journal-by-xanhalen#weeks/1553944)

XanHalen Weekly Update: Aug 6th Textbook grow, no significant issues to address, super resistant to high heat which is consistent with the pheno's under high power FS-LED's. Dolomite lime top-dress early on has kept root-zone pH under control, due for another top-dress soon. 10% Runoff @ 2 gal (will be going up to 2.5 gal for 15-20%): 1900ppm, pH 5.5 (meh).

XanHalen Weekly Update: August 20th This girl is outpacing my indoor girls in everyway. Faster growth, larger colas, nicer smell, only one runoff pH issue which basically fixed itself thanks to the dolomitic lime. This plant is a pleasure to sit back and watch thrive, with very minimal effort. currently transitioning from stacking to swelling, everything looks beautiful.

XanHalen Weekly Update: Aug 26th Doing better than indoor sisters, no lockouts, no deficiencies, great growth, resin production, and trichome coverage. Saw one adult orange spider-mite, checked the whole plant and saw nothing else. Added .1g monster bloom (0-50-30) per gallon, this upped feed from 770 - 840ppm, nice gentle PK boost. (I know its controversial to use such a concentrated booster but we will see). will be doing this every other feed for about 7 days. Runoff numbers are optimal, been very cloudy for about a week but getting better this week.

Unfortunately I have been beset by problems. I have dealt with powdery mildew infection from the pumpkins, I've dealt with bud rot on three plants, and I have a spider mite infestation too. All round nightmare.

@UnorthadoxDude, sorry to hear that dude, mine is just in the garden area with countless other plants most of which are edible and attract an unfathomable amount of bugs; I get ambushed every watering lol. I think I've been in the clear because this plant is receiving synthetic nutes, and everything else in the garden is getting organic, there is so much in the garden that is more enticing to the pests then my synthetically fed cannabis plant in peat/perlite media. But I don't know for sure, maybe just luck for my first outdoor run! Good luck gromie!! 🙏

I am doing my first (sort of) outdoor this season too (poly/greenhouse). I am interested to follow along and see how they get on. Good luck!

Looking awesome bro! I have had a nightmare with mine, so far I have had bud rot on 2 plants, spider mites on 6 plants, and PM on six plants. Poly/greenhouse is not for me, I will focus on indoor only next season I think.

@UnorthadoxDude, opposite for me my friend, my indoor girls got locked out early and i could not bring them out of it, the outdoor girl has not had this issue at all, i saw one single spidermite on the outdoor but i checked the whole plant and nothing else. I wish the best for your grows man, and dont give up on outdoor! try, try again!
