AestheticGenetix I Took these cuttings awhile back. I tried a new way to clone because i had been having issues with cloning my normal ways. Im not sure if my cloning powder was old of what. Or, maybe it has something to do with being a soil grower now inatead of mostly soilless like coco or peat. But, i didnt used to have any issues with cloning and this last year since i started growing again after a 3 year hiatus, i have had less than successful cloning experiences. I made a diy cloner(aeroponic and hydroponic) I tried coco pucks and peat pellets. i tried directly in substrate. i tried using a seedling mix as well. So i scoured the internet for help because i was stumped. I started liking the idea of trying plain honey or a mix of honey and my cloning powder. I really wasnt looking to spend anymore money. I realize i couldve bought clonex or something else. or maybe a new aero cloner instead of diy. I came across old forums. Someone had a whole post of using plain vermiculite. Just vermiculite for cloning. I have a huge 20 lb that i dont use from back when i would make my own soils/soilless mediums for growing. So i thought what the hell. Lets put it to the test and see which works best out of all of the ways ive been doing it. I took 3 clones of each plant. The idea was to try 1 with Honey and cloning powder in a coco coir coin/ puck. (thats the way Id been doing it besides the honey) 1 in the coco coir coin with just honey and then 1 dipped in honey and then dipped in the cloning powder and then placed in lightly packed vermiculite. It seemed weird but i was willing to give it a try because absolutely nothing was working for me in a way that seemed viable. rhe coco coins are almost too compressed or something but also too dry at the same time and it wasnt conducive to cloning. They also arent that good for seeds ive noticed. Anyways the vermiculite worked so well that it was the only one to be successful in this experiment. It worked so freaking well that it will be the only way i clone at all from now on. It also worked incredibly fast. I had prolific roots in 5 days. The transplant out of it is also amazing. The vermiculite just falls off of the roots and you are left with plain perfect roots. Similiarly to using an aero cloner. You could transplant into hydroponics this way or any medium for that matter. I will be doing another clone session this way and will display This and the success of it here soon and the whole process so that others may try it out themselves. The best part is that ive had a bag that i dont use and honey around the house. Vermiculite and honey, who wouldve thought 😅🤷🏾‍♂️🤟

AestheticGenetix 8/3/25 plants and growing very vigorously. I'm going to attempt a more upright style with topping, rather than bending her over and tying her down. The one I topped first, now has 3 mains coming up. While the one I topped late has about 5 mains but they're shorter with lower ones trying to reach up to the crown.
