TooMuchTIm Planted out a random batch of 6 bush seeds. 1st play with an indoor setup, coco coir & good quality nutrients and additives. Education, curiosity and of course a few nice buds at the end is the aim of the game.. Plenty or trials. Started coco life without a Calmag supplement. Learned within the week it was needed. Now rocking some Green Planet Cal Pro and back to business..
TooMuchTIm A few different specimens presenting.. Decided to move 1 into a Kratky setup, just for an experiment.. Spoiler - it doesn't end well.. highlighting my calmag problems.. Learning and learning again.. Started adding some more additives into the mix here..

TooMuchTIm Obvious indicas starting to bulk. sativas still stretching.. Started upping additives for resin and terpene production. Not sure if it's worth it on unknown strains, but giving it a go anyway.. I know what these seeds produce in soil, so should be able to compare end product.. Getting problems in the kratky..Changed over to using vitaponix (bought a sample pack) - and am getting what looks like root rot..
Ai is now telling me it could be a good time to lower my Canna a to 2.5mlpl and keep b at 4mlpl. to lower nitrogen intake. give that a go next week. Have combined week 4&5 pics.

TooMuchTIm Midweek 11.. Starting to get heavier.. Just had another 1degree morning. Closeup shows how the heads have become deep purple from cold. Just starting to throw pistils, i think the cold has really slowed 2 girls up. Judy (i name my plants) hermied 2 weeks ago and i've been picking her ballsacks off almost every day. New grower, forgive me for not wanting to throw things away . I've seperated her, and am hoping to still get some good stuff. Beth & Greta are my cold struck, outside beauties. Serena is my beast indoors.

TooMuchTIm Week 12.. Most things going fairly well.. Judy is building beautifully. Still finding the odd nutsack. But the hermie attempts are becoming less, i feel. Beth & Greta are stacking nicely. They are starting to sparkle in the sunshine, which is awesome. Only just starting to really show pistils, but maybe had something to do with cold weather shock. Serena, the giant mega-beast, demands to continue to stretch.. Am bending her and training her to the walls, but i'm getting worried about how i'll support that when the colas get heavy. I can't lift the lights any higher, so any suggestions here would be really appreciated.. I also have 2 x 15w UVB supplement lights in the room, is now the right time to start using them? Or is the plant too close already? TIA.

TooMuchTIm Start of week 13 and i've found balls on the dirty big bitch in my room. Serena, turned Steve. The downside of unknown genetics i suppose. Still 3 keepers at this stage, but devastated at what could have been... Bring on legalisation so rec growers can get the most out of their gardens! Rant over for now. Will update again later in the week..
So... Pulled Steve from the room and composted 'they'. Good news for Beth & Greta. Newly positioned inside and hopefully loving a bit more controlled conditions. They're starting to smell amazing, very fruit salad. Picked another couple of flowers from Judy (who's damn near Jude) today. Have spotted a couple of isolated orange pistils, so not as careful as i thought. Anyway, soldiering on.. Happy grows!

TooMuchTIm Day 4 of week 14.. Everything looking pretty good. Beth & Greta have settled inside well and are really giving off some strong scents now. Real feuit mix, sometimes pawpaw, sometimes almost custard apple. Really pleasant smell anyway. I dropped A part of nutes down to 2ml with B at 3.5ml to lower nitrogen and am seeing some yellowing leaves, so mau have gone too early. Back to 2.5ml per l. Judy outside is fattening up nicely. Starting to get a stronger smell now. She's a lemon citrus scent. Not as pungent as the other 2, but maybe being inside helps. Have just germinated 2 GSC x 2 Master purples for my next grows. Really excited to see what happens with good genetics! Gotta finish these first! Happy grows!

TooMuchTIm Week 15. Week 9 of Flower.. Things getting all dusty now. Strong smells coming from the touch, but not hugely strong in the air. Beth now has a bubblegum smell, reallly cool. Greta smells like pawpaw & Judy has a gassy lemon smell. Not really what you'd call pleasant, but strong.. Beth has 2 burnt heads, possibly from the uvb lights. I have them on manual control and left them on for 30 mins longer than usual. Total 90mins. Haven't turned them on again just incase. Am in the final 3 weeks and going to start pulling nutrients back. Added some ozi tonic this week, see how it goes.. Happy grows!
End of week edit- not a good week. Have had a caterpillar do it's thing and am now finding nanners and male flowers on all 3 girls.. Whether genetics or the move inside, it happened. Greta is developing long wispy white pistils, so not sure what the go is. Trichromes are a range between 75-85% cloudy on all 3, but am yet to see amber. Starting immediate flush and hoping to pull before seed development starts. It already has on Judy..

TooMuchTIm Have started flushing with ph'd rain water, GP Liquid weight & some ozi tonic. I think i have some foxtailing happening more than nanners. I haven't had an explosion of flowers, just short, fat tongued leaves poking through the buds. Too much nitrogen at the end? Possibly.. I've moved them back outside, the weather is holding better and i needed the inside space anyway. They all smell great, still not showing any signs of amber but i may have over-estimated the ratio last week in panic.
Hoping to see some develop in the next couple of days! Happy grows!
No worries, learning as you go is part of the process! Changing light schedules can take time depending on the strain. Moving plants outside sounds like a smart move if space is tight. You got this! 🌿☀️
@GeorgeJ10, Thanks man! Getting some cold mornings here now (-1c), so leaving to the elements is risky! They're holding up pretty well, though! Weed is strong! 💪
@TooMuchTIm, For sure man! 💯 That cold can be brutal, but sounds like they’re toughin’ it out like champs 💪 Weed really is strong, resilient as hell. Just gotta keep an eye on those frosts, but you’re clearly dialed in 👊🔥
