Kirsten I grew my first Bubble Kush plant last year, I am just coming to the end of what I harvested from her.
I have been using this almost exclusively since!
It's so good for my anxiety and stress. A few large tokes from a joint are enough to feel all of the worries melt away.
It's very relaxing, uplifting, and honestly meditative. Relieves my muscle tension and any intrusive thoughts.
This is my favourite strain. I have only one seed left after this and I'm really looking after it.
Absolutely can't wait to see this plant produce the same gorgeous buds, terp-loaded with that Pinene and Mycrene!
I used the following substrate and dry amendments per 5 Gallon/19 L pot;
๐งก 60% Canna Terra Soil Mix
๐งก 30% Perlite
๐งก 10% Worm Castings (5 Cups)
Dry Amendments
๐ 7.5 TBSP Ecothrive Life Cycle
๐ 5 TBSP Ecothrive Charge
๐ 1/2 Cup Diatomaceous Earth
๐ 1/2 Cup Ground Cinnamon
๐ Sprinkle of Great White Mycorrhizal Fungi blend
7.7.25:
So I planted the seed directly into the soil and watered it in with un PH'D warm water with Ecothrive Biosys.
Once something else occurs, I'll be back to report on it!
13.7.25:
Well unfortunately there is something to report.
The seed never sprouted, so I dug it up, it hadn't popped so I placed it in a damp paper towel to see what happens. If she does come up, I will make room for her.
The seed I just planted was my last one.
I really don't like soil mix. I mixed in 3/4 ltr Canna Coco, and 1/2 ltr of Perlite and worked it in to the very top layer of soil. So the seed is in only the Coco / Perlite to start off with.
Let's see how she goes! ๐ค
Thanks as always for following along with the grows ๐๐๐๐ฑ๐ค๐

Kirsten We have a seedling ๐ฑ
Just saying, this is my new baby.
I'm going to really try and look after her.
I will be moving her to an 8 Gallon pot, so I can make the most of my last seed.
I did remove the shell as the RH is relatively low and it was stuck on pretty well. I used a sterile pin to accomplish this. Later I noticed the membrane was still on, so I removed this as well, so now the cotelydon leaves are free! ๐ฑ๐๐
I've just been keeping the seed moist with frequency over quantity.
Thanks for following along as always, really cool to hang out in the comments if you like ๐๐ฑ๐ค๐โ๏ธ๐๐

Kirsten This week I transferred the Bubble Kush to her new pot! ๐
I had to get rid of the soil I was using, it just wasn't working. Apparently I just dont jive or vibe with soil! ๐
She is now in her final home 8 gallon pot made up of the following;
SUBSTRATE:
๐งก Canna Coco
๐งก Perlite
๐งก Worm Castings
+
ORGANIC DRY AMENDMENTS:
๐ Ecothrive Charge
๐ Ecothrive Life Cycle
๐ Great White Mycorrhizal Fungi Blend
๐ Diatomaceous Earth
๐ Ground Cinnamon
I watered the plant in with 1ltr of dechlorinated water PH'D to 6.4 with Ecothrive Biosys and Ecothrive Trace.
I watered again at the end of this week. With the same nutrition solution as above.
The plants are very needy just now as its so hot. I'm very pleased she's in the new substrate and pot. I want the 8 gallon because this strain is my favourite, and I'd love to get her as big as possible as it was my last seed ๐ so fingers crossed!
Thanks for checking in this week and hanging out in the comments as always!

Kirsten Keeping the plant watered the leaves are looking a little suspect, which I will keep an eye on.

Kirsten Bubble Kush is looking good. Hopefully, we are going to see some nice growth in the next week or 2.
I've just been keeping the medium, not bone dry, but there were some fungus gnats.
So I have let it dry out more than I usually would probably because I wanted to sprinkle some Diatomaceous Earth on the soil, and it only works once the soil is dry.
Once the Diatomaceous Earth gets wet, it is no longer effective against insects.
Other than that, the plant is looking really good. She seems to be enjoying the new 8 gallon container.
I'm watering around the perimeter of the pot.
Predominantly, to encourage the roots to grow into the pot. Also, to activate the soil and The Dry amendments.

Kirsten Bubble Kush is progressing very slowly.
I have noticed that the plant produced 2, 5 finger leaves, but the next set were only 3 fingers, now 5 finger leaves again. I find this to be peculiar.
As this is my last seed, I really don't want to mess this one up.

@Sour_D, It really is, I should have planted sooner. Unfortunately I'm certainly going to run out before this one is anywhere near done. I'll stop being so picky and smoke one of my other plants ๐ ๐โ๏ธ
Next time you water her, maybe do a circle perimeter around the outside of the pot that way there, the roots have to go searching for it... Also sometimes overwatering will bring out yellowing . . You said that she looks a little funky. I guess you're basing that off of it, the yellowing which is typically from light stress or overwatering... And especially, you starting off in such a big pot
Next time, like I said I would go around the outside that way there you're not going to overwater because you're not watering her directly, and you're making her roots stretch out to find the water... bigger roots bigger fruits =)
@Aeromatics, thank you very much, indeed! ๐ if you are interested in this particular strain, I have another diary that was my first time growing bubble kush. It is my favourite strain and I can recommend 10/10 ๐๐โ๏ธ๐๐
