Week 1. Vegetation
2mo ago
BacktotheGreen Hello! This grow is starting from a cutting that was taken when topping another plant from seed. So instead of wasting a cutting I decided to just do another single plant grow. I just used "Garden Safe TakeRoot", from Home Depot and Root Riot cubes, took about 6/7 days to root. Update: trimmed and put her in the grow tent

BacktotheGreen So seems like she was closer to flowering than I thought, and I had to do some traveling and when I get back she has already started. I guess it makes sense because it's auto flower and a cutting from a plant that already had a few weeks veg. Transplanted and gave her some bloom notes.

BacktotheGreen For a clone that only had a week to veg, she has stretched a bit in flower. Just letting her do her thang, happy and healthy.

BacktotheGreen Just chopped today and it is stinky and sticky! This harvest section is a bit off in the sense that I can review how the grow went but that tell you nothing of the final product. Having said that I will do what most do and just review the grow now and come back with a smoke report later. First time growing FastBuds, first time growing an autoflower and first time growing with modern LED grow lights. So I will review all, FastBuds from what I can tell is top notch (first/only grow) with little experience from them. I would highly recommend so far, I have a bunch more of their genetics both auto/photo, so I will put them to the test. Autoflowers, hmm well they for sure have a place in my garden but I would have to say I still prefer photoperiod. Mostly for the ability to take clones of strains/phenos that I want to keep in rotation. Also the ability to veg/train as long as I want then flip to bloom is big plus for me. I still think everything else considered, autos are great for a smaller indoor situation, for outdoors where growing seasons could be limited and I think a great way for a new grower to learn with potentially less mistakes. LED grow lights, Im a big fan!!! Less power consumption, great par and light penetration and great results. Other than the initial cost for some higher wattage lights and potential life duration of an LED, Im really considering a full switch but I still have 2 600 gavitas that I will probably run a few more times. NOTE: I will come back and fill in details on weight and such later and with a final smoke report.

What a cool diary! Auto flower clones keep going at the same age as the mother, they seem to "pause" while they root, but then carry on going at the same pace as the mother. Excellent to have it recorded like this, thanks for running this one and welcome to the community!
