The_Real_Cannaranch Day 31
Plants removed from germination tent. Their roots extended on average 3” from bottom of starting pots. Removed without damage. Did not break root ball, not bound. Light liquid amendment in the tray to feed exposed roots prior to transplant.
3.5 gallon pots given 4 holes, a halo of red lava rock to cover but provide drainage, placed fir wood chips in the center, dusted with volcanic ash and fertilizer with inoculant, before filling with soil. Which, was comprised of locally harvested loam, aged cow patty, fresh chicken droppings, Fox Farm fruit and flower dry fertilizer with more inoculant and Fox Farm Ocean Forest potting soil- in about a 50:50 mix. Topped with organic orchid mix (bark and perlite) and more ash. Watered with .5 gallon of water each, flooded to remove air pockets. Water collected from Oregon wilderness.
Unfortunately the chickens attempted to eat one of the plants, and the sun scorched the supple leaves. Day high was about 90f with less than 30% humidity.
