That sounds like a real test of patience – typical for Mimosa strains, which can sometimes be a bit moody when germinating! Sometimes the difference really just comes down to the seed itself: genetic vitality, strength of the seedling, or minimal differences in moisture and temperature can be crucial. Maybe it was just bad luck with the first two. The important thing is: it's here now – and if it's already reaching for the light, it seems to have gotten off to a good start!
