Profile: Zamnesia's Karen Kush – The Robust Beauty * Genetics: Zamnesia's Karen Kush is a tribute to the famous Kush line, known for its strength and relaxing effects. It can be assumed to be an indica-dominant hybrid that brings together the best traits of its Kush ancestors. It promises robustness and reliable flower production. * Size: Typically, Kush strains tend to be rather compact to medium in size, which is also expected for Karen Kush. Expect heights that are manageable in your grow space while still allowing for an impressive flower structure. * Color: The coloration of Karen Kush is expected to be dominated by rich green tones. During the flowering period, the dense buds may transition from darker greens to subtle purple or bluish hues, especially at cooler temperatures. Our proven schedule for germination and early growth is also set for Karen Kush and has been slightly optimized. Week 0: The Germination Phase The seed germination has begun. * Day 0.1: After soaking for about 20 hours in 1% H₂O₂, the seed was placed in our substrate, the coconut germination medium – a hole filled with about 100 ml of coconut in the 400 ml pot, surrounded by 300 ml of light mix. * Day 0.2: The first patience phase begins. We are waiting for the seed to break its shell. * Day 0.3/0.4: The first signs of life are visible. The cotyledons break through the substrate after we observed a first bulge of the substrate surface. We then increased the DLI from about 12 to 16 to give the seedling enough light. * Day 0.5: We removed the cover to lower the relative humidity to about 80% and increased the light intensity to 20 DLI. * Day 0.6: Everything under control. The plant shows vital growth. * Day 0.7: The light dome was removed. The relative humidity now drops to 60–65%, which encourages the plant to build a strong root system. * Fertilization & Measurements: No fertilizer or water.
